Bonnie the Bunny is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Mike Schmidt) of ShadowLL's Five Night's at Freddy's [sic] fanfic trilogy, serving as a false protagonist in Five Nights At Freddy's, the main antagonist of The Horror Attraction and one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Freddy Fazbear) of The Calling.

He is an animatronic rabbit and former entertainer at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. In reality, he is haunted by the restless soul of Derrick Henry, a dead child that seeks to get revenge on Mike Schmidt for murdering him, no matter the cost. However, once his opportunity to get revenge is stolen, Bonnie instead plans to kill at all the animatronics, specifically his archenemy Foxy the Pirate Fox for being the one to ruin it and kill Mike.

History[]

Backstory[]

Derrick Henry was a young child that was murdered by Mike Schmidt in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria through being stuffed into the Bonnie animatronic alive, as the first of his five victims. He had his legs crunched down by endoskeleton parts before Mike turned on the motors, cutting them off completely, before he was finished off by having his waist crushed. Mad with revenge and planning to get back at his killer, Derrick would slowly plan his revenge, while hiding the fact he remembered who he used to be from the other animatronics, who all forgot. In order to make himself look friendly, Derrick/Bonnie convinced Freddy, Chica and Foxy to do a group photo. But while Freddy and Chica had the photo look normal, Foxy's print showed Bonnie with a smile that made him look evil. The fox folded the paper and placed it inside his pocket watch, as he didn't want to imagine Bonnie as someone evil.

Bonnie slowly watched as Golden Freddy used his powers to brainwash Freddy into killing night guards, and would join along. Learning from him, he eventually caused The Bite of '87 by having Foxy fall off the stage and onto a child, biting off their frontal lobe with his teeth. One day, Bonnie gained enough power to control Freddy and Chica into killing night guards, but soon Golden returned, his powers stronger than Bonnie's. The rabbit had to wait until the opportunity to get his revenge.

The Calling[]

Bonnie spends five nights trying to kill the current night guard, Derrick Schmidt, nephew of Mike. At one point, he tried to attack Foxy, who had to run into the security office to save himself. There was also a time where the poster in the office had Bonnie circled in red, trying to warn Derrick of his evil.

Later on, Mike would put on a purple Freddy costume to lure the animatronics into the backroom where he'd destroy them one by one, freeing their spirits. But before that, Bonnie and Chica would kill Sarah Malcolm together. Derrick had to watch as his opportunity to get revenge was stolen by Mike's nephew, who killed Mike by himself, which made him full of anger and hatred towards the fox, seeking to get revenge at him for this act.

Five Night's At Freddy's[]

One day, Freddy's would be shut down and four months later, all the animatronics would be moved to a second location, where they would be replaced by the Toy animatronics. When first encountering his successor, Bonnie would get aggressive due to recognizing the other rabbit's power and would enter a fight with him, where he would get his arm ripped off and be knocked out. A week later, it turns out the old animatronics have been brainwashed by someone into attacking the night guard. They speculate it was Golden, causing Bonnie to fake having a breakdown. Following this, Bonnie and Chica are possessed by an entity later revealed to be the Puppet that makes them attack Foxy. However, Bonnie would willingly give in. Foxy accidentally rips off Bonnie's face while trying to defend himself, and mutilates Chica in a similar way. Bonnie briefly tries to manipulate Chica so she would join him, but failed and never got the opportunity to do it again.

Later on, the Puppet seemingly brainwashes Bonnie and Bonbon into attacking Foxy and Mangle, but they are saved by Golden. Unknown to them, Bonnie was merely playing along and was never truly possessed. After enough fighting, he is defeated and the Puppet loses its control of him. A few nights later, Foxy manages to defeat and kill Golden, causing Bonnie to create a second one to keep the fox occupied, with the false Golden being so realistic even the Puppet was fooled. A night later, the Freddies reveal the newer models are going to be scrapped, and Bonbon finally reveals his true nature and tries to kill the animatronics. Bonnie and Foxy team up to ambush him, and are soon joined by the other animatronics. However, they all fail and Bonnie gains a hole in his chest. Eventually, Foxy manages to kill Bonbon and absorb his soul.

The Horror Attraction[]

Just a few days later, Bonnie would use Bonbon's spare parts to set the building on fire. He would then brainwash Toy Freddy/Fazbear and taunt Foxy about how no one will escape before knocking down a support beam. While making his leave, Bonnie encounters Mike, now Springtrap. He pays no attention to him, thinking he'd die, and escapes from the pizzeria. The fire killed Fazbear, Toy Chica and possibly Balloon Boy.

Thirty years later, all the surviving animatronics make their way into Freddy Fazbear's Horror Attraction, based on their pizzeria. During this, Foxy and Chica's group photos they took all those decades ago changed: Chica's had a faceless Bonnie in the second restaurant, while Foxy only had the background changed, although was also given a piece of purple plastic. One night, Foxy sees Mangle being grabbed by someone and taken into a vent. Foxy follows the mystery creature, and sees that it is none other than Bonnie, who proceeds to reveal his evil and taunt Foxy about how they will meet again soon, where he'll get his revenge.

Soon afterwards, Bonnie goes to the heroes and demands a one-on-one talk with Foxy and the false Golden. During this, he reveals he kidnapped Mangle as a form of getting back at Foxy for stealing his chance at revenge. He then taunts the fox about how she will die soon, which angers him enough to attack the rabbit. While he manages to tear his face off (again), Bonnie teleports away before any more damage can be done. The heroes then go confront the heroes, and while Freddy and Chica keep Springtrap away, Foxy and Golden confront Bonnie and the Puppet. Bonnie says that either Foxy kills Golden, or he kills Mangle. However, the fox girl uses the opportunity to free herself, crush Bonnie's arm and stab him with his own scythe, and go back to her normal, humanoid form. Golden briefly fights Bonnie to keep him occupied, but he teleports away.

Following this, the trio of villains would team up to face the five heroes. In the final battle, Bonnie would fight Freddy and eventually manage to kill him through brutally tearing him apart. In his last moments, the bear would give Foxy his child's soul. He would then do the same with Chica's soul, who was killed by Springtrap. Bonnie mocks the deaths of his former "friends", but Foxy simply throws him at Springtrap. The two rabbits get up and realise that the Puppet was killed. Bonnie is angry due to his plan being ruined, but quickly recovers and continues fighting. With Springtrap being busy with Foxy, Bonnie takes on Mangle and Golden and manages to kill the latter, with Foxy absorbing his soul. He then almost cuts off Mangle's leg, but Foxy stops him. The two then fight one-on-one, the rabbit ranting about how his plan was ruined and everything would have gone nicely if the heroes chose any different day to attack. He eventually gets the better of Foxy and finally kills him.

Mangle quickly throws Bonnie away and comes to Foxy. She absorbs both his soul and the souls of all the people he absorbed. She uses this power to severely injure Bonnie and throw him around before grabbing a lighter. He tries to continue fighting, but she ignores him and goes to Springtrap. She sets him on fire, with the rabbit's faulty wiring causing it to extend to the entire building. Bonnie tries to escape, but trips over. Mangle then states he's as responsible for this mess as Springtrap, and now he's going to die with the rest of them. Due to her wording, he realises Foxy gave Mangle all of his souls, and is confused that Mangle would just throw that gift away. As they're both consumed by the flames, she claims that it's because if even one of them survives, then all of them could come back in the future. She shoves Bonnie into the flames before directly walking into the fire, killing both of them in the process.

Trivia[]

It's briefly implied Bonnie was controlling Springtrap and the Puppet during the events of The Horror Attraction. It's unknown if this is true, however.
It's unknown why Bonnie teamed up with Springtrap given how he was his murderer. It's possible his hatred of Foxy overtook his hatred of Mike, and he was more focused on getting revenge on the former.
It's implied Bonnie had an overarching plan during the second entry and possibly the trilogy as a whole. However, it's not confirmed what it was, other than it involving his enemies dying and the Puppet being alive.
