What's up, ladies and gentlemen of YouTube, Boogie2988 coming at you live once again though the power of the internet.
~ Boogie.
I can stay awake for a long time I got a SSSHITLOAD of, Mountain Dewww! (cackling & hitting the roof with arm reacher)
Jesse: You're gonna bring the whole attic down!
It's worth it, if I bring you down with me!!
~ Boogie to Jesse from McJuggerNuggets' "TRAPPED IN THE ATTIC BY AN OBSESSED FAN!".

Boogie, also known as Francis, is the titular main antagonist and anti-villain of the YouTube channel boogie2988. He is an American YouTuber and commentator who makes gaming-related videos discussing gaming news, personal rambling vlogs, and character sketches, the most famous of which is his character Francis, a childish lisp-afflicted adult with a tendency to smash various objects out of pure rage.

He is played by Steven Jay Williams, who plays as both: Boogie and Francis alternatively.

Bio[]

boogie2988[]

Boogie is often seen playing video games on his streaming channel like Playing Dungeons and Dragons and simply showed Boogie playing board games with a few friends. Otherwise he is seen playing several video games on his spare time. He is also seen angered and prone to emotional outbursts over something that pissed him off.

Francis is also seen raging on various topics, from video games, to being called fat, to being called out for his selfishness and laziness, to the flaws of others; and more often than not, he smashes his stuff.

McJuggerNuggets[]

In "The Boogie Series", Boogie is a fan of Jesse for his psycho skits. At first glance, he first allowed Jesse Ridgway, Boogie's idol, and Jesse's friend, Parker Joseph Zippel, to hang over and have a fun time playing video games. This hangover has been taken a little too far where Boogie becomes obsessive, perverted clingy, bossy, and violent. As he becomes very tyrannical and aggressive when he imposes Jesse and Parker to play video games with him and for Jesse to be his, often in overbearing, manipulative, and petty ways. Trying to escape from Boogie (let alone living with him) becomes a true nightmare for Jesse. This is better shown in "HELD HOSTAGE BY AN OBSESSED FAN!", when he broke down his own door due to Jesse and Parker tried to escape from the window and forcing them to stay to play video games with him, making him look very intimidating and cataclysmic.

In the same day he tried sleeping on top of Jesse since he wanted to sleep with Jesse in the same room, he claims to "love" Jesse and wanted to "hook up" with him and thought he was using appropriate words; all of which Jesse tried defusing the predicament by telling Boogie that Jesse wanted to get sleep and to hang out the next day even when Boogie either tried making excuses like being "too big to fit the couch" or showed a bit of denial before letting Jesse sleeps, he is heard swearing loudly when he closes the door and walks away.

On the next day at 5pm, Jesse reached out to Boogie and Boogie made some clingy and slightly petty remarks about how he and they sleep, Jesse mentioned what they "got done" and Boogie told him about what kinds of activities Boogie had in mind for Jesse with playing games plenty of games Jesse promised even though Jesse is exhausted from the work he's been doing for his YouTube series, and Boogie asked him when can he and they start filming for Jesse's show when the latter asked Boogie about booking flights, and it's quite obvious that he didn't book it yet since he thought Jesse would stay for a longer amount of time.

Jesse claimed to be tired because of Boogie's behavior from last night and Boogie kept making countless excuses for where he "couldn't sleep" and made a "apology" to Boogie for overstepping his boundaries and tried making a proposition with having him and Jesse playing video games to make up for his faults and as a way to have fun when it actually benefits Boogie much more than Jesse (where Jesse kept asking him about booking Jesse's flight so he could go back home), the latter then attempted to confirm Boogie's perverted tendencies with something off-topic like bluntly implying that Boogie tried raping Jesse from the butt, Boogie is easily offended and concerned for some amount of time as he then making childish responses about finding somewhere to sleep in his own home, how he has "tits" as the reason to sleep with his shirt off when people are over, and then making a extremely petty response of Jesse being in his underwear.

Boogie then tried defusing the argument for a little bit with the ideal of "having fun" and then resorts making a completely random and unrelated excuse about Jesse "offering" him some sensual fun when "finding a place to sleep" and claiming to be ok with Jesse kissing him since Boogie claimed that he wanted to kiss Jesse even though he keeps saying that he won't since it confuses and creeps the hell out of Jesse and Parker to the point of wanting to go to the backroom, Boogie tells them that he wants to play games with him and telling them to not let Boogie's remarks ruin anything despite Jesse and Parker staying distant from him and taking what he's saying as insincere rationalizing with a clingy side to Jesse booking a flight.

When Jesse and Parker came back from a restaurant, Boogie at one point got a group of people to side with him as his group he arranged for Jesse, which everyone from boogie2988 appear like David and Boogie's brother, but he also showed some "commander" tendencies like being able to make them do as he says as a form of tyranny to show the "real" him when he freaked out over Jesse rejecting Boogie wanting him to play games with him, like when he made them all leave the table and threw a object at Parker since Boogie felt extremely underappreciated and disrespected over Boogie's request of wanting to make him and Jesse successful over Boogie being a part of the series for two videos, being denied by Jesse himself.

Due to failing to control his emotions, he then went on a tirade about nobody understanding his love for the Psycho series and having plenty of diatribes about what Jesse said and did with the series. He then got loads of paper that are scripts of what he calls fan-fiction for Jesse to read and approve, he then would gloat about how good of a idea it was.

At one point in "HELD HOSTAGE BY AN OBSESSED FAN!", he forced Jesse and Parker to play video games & to give him their phones for Parker trying to call the cops on Boogie. When Boogie got distracted from playing VR games, at one point, Parker got the opportunity to escape and Jesse stays to see what'll Boogie do after he and Parker used his sleeping medications to make him fall completely asleep. Jesse then finds out Boogie keeping a security camera on his computer, in the same room Jesse slept in so the next day he could masturbate to Jesse; which made Jesse disturbed at this.

In "TRAPPED IN THE ATTIC BY AN OBSESSED FAN!", he then makes Boogie excited about making him a character in the Psycho series as well as wanting to sleep in the same room as Jesse, Jesse then goes back to his bedroom and into a closet to find a sex doll with Jesse's face on it with several pictures of Jesse with flowers and candles and two posters of the Psycho series, all of which continued to disturb Jesse due to finding it creepy and disturbing.

As he went back downstairs, completely worried and uneasy about what he just discovered, Boogie excitedly talks about the trailer he'll be featured in, where Jesse confronts Boogie by asking him about what did he kept in room and why is all of that stuff even there, Boogie remorsefully shames himself for even leaving it there as he gets overly emotional and saddened with trying so hard to please Jesse, to the point of losing his mind and going crazy due to said motive of having good intentions in supporting his idol but got too obsessed over Jesse himself.

When Jesse vows to leave after everything Boogie did and kept with him, displeased by his behavior and items, Boogie becomes extremely possessive and violent over Jesse not leaving by forcing him to stay with him by using a Hello Kitty baseball bat as form of threat and force, when Jesse finds this behavior downright unacceptable and actually "psycho" to the point of leaving his house, Boogie violently hits him with the bat twice for just wanting to leave, which made Jesse had the thought to escape and hide into Boogie's attic when Boogie snapped his back from swinging the bat, which made Boogie tried; he becomes much more threatening and persistent despite his humorous incompetence.

He grows from seeming inept and ridiculous with trying to use his reach extender to grab Jesse while Jesse is distant from him, using a leaf blower to blow bad air into the attic, and using two Nerf guns to shoot Jesse, to becoming much more lethal and chaotic like attempting to send fireworks and firecrackers into the attic.

His twisted perversion is better shown when Jesse attempted to leave, thinking that Boogie was gone, Boogie then shows up wearing a piece of tin-foil on his head (in the shape of a viking helmet) with a sword and the sex doll Boogie kept due to Jesse finding that out, when he first did roleplay with the doll in front of Jesse to the point of sexually violating it twice as if that was Jesse being molested, when Jesse gets easily disturbed about Boogie's implications and then uses the thought of murder to stab the doll and throw it at the stairs as if Boogie had the thought of murdering Jesse for Jesse not appreciating him. Where Boogie starts having a mental breakdown and having some petty emotional crisis over Jesse and the doll, he refused to try whacking the doll and pleads Jesse to come back down in a dramatic manner.

Where Jesse tries to make white-lies in order to get back on good terms with Boogie, Boogie then gets vengeful to the point of locking Jesse up the attic and keeping him there forever. Making Jesse worried for his life.

In "BOOGIE2988'S BATHTIME FREAKOUT!", Boogie happens to act like more of a control-freak than he gets and continues becoming, as Boogie started as a aspiring fan of the McJuggerNuggets cast like the Psycho Brother (that is Jeffery), Parker and Jesse themselves. He slowly goes from being a friend who seems accommodating, brotherly and alluring with a loyal posture towards Michael despite having petty aversion towards Parker, to becoming a whole lot more of a sadomasochistic pervert than ever before. He first locks Parker up his attic without anyone knowing since Boogie got pure enjoyment in belittling Parker and being callous of his safety, and while Boogie got Jeffery and Psycho Brother to film him in a bathtub for a supposed video, Boogie attempts getting flirtatious and tried pulling Jeffery to force him to hop into the bathtub Boogie was already in, which backfires on Boogie's behalf on the latter and resulted in Boogie having a complete meltdown.

After Jeffrey looks for Parker to attempt leaving Boogie's house, Boogie goes to a mirror to fantasize Jesse being in his personal mirror, and Boogie shows off his degenerate and creepy side to his schizophrenia by imagining Jesse being half-naked with undies on, and Boogie talking to them through this mirror. In fact, Boogie gets so turned on and horny with Jesse being clearly a sobbing mess, Boogie once asserts him to shoot him like Jesse did in one of his skits, and keeps obsessing in wanting Jesse to twerk for him and showing him his tush.

In "BREAKING OUT OF BOOGIE'S!", Jesse needed to call Parker to show up at Boogie's house as a part of Jesse's underhanded plan to deceive Boogie by distracting him (and taking what's his) so Jesse can escape by stealing Boogie's car before Boogie tried to be aggressive, getting Parker to join him and leaving Boogie's car at the airport.

Ever since this saga continued, he goes from participating the fun with Jesse and Parker in videos like "FIVE NIGHTS AT FRANCIS'!", to the point of getting more insane, irrational and manipulative towards them in the following videos: "Boogie Doesn't Want Me to Leave *creepy*", "BOOGIE'S CHEAT MAIL", "BOOGIE TRAPPED ME IN A CAVERN!", "BOOGIE2988 TRIES TO EAT MCJUGGERNUGGETS!", "LEAVING BOOGIE2988'S CABIN! (ft. Froggy Fresh)", "BOOGIE2988 DEMANDS THE PSYCHO SERIES GRAPHIC NOVEL!", "BOOGIE2988 IS CAMPING OUTSIDE MCJUGGERNUGGETS HOUSE!", "BOOGIE2988 STALKS MCJUGGERNUGGETS!", "BOOGIE2988 STEALS THE PSYCHO SERIES BOOK!", "boogie2988 is a psychopath.", and "boogie2988 flees country.".

it's revealed that he staged the act of a girl being tied up in the restroom and killing her later, and even staged the act of Boogie being a potential murderer for a butcher who showed perversion towards Jesse, forcing Jesse and Swift to eat cooked parts of her and threw Swift into a boiling hot tub, it's revealed that he did all of this to prank and screw with Jesse. Where nobody actually died in the video and it was revealed that Boogie made some elaborate prank just because Jesse's plots and storytelling was getting stale, predictable, and needing something to change up the act in Jesse's "Psycho" series.

Which he is then seen holding a gun in "boogie2988 is a psychopath.". His vengeful tendencies are also shown in "BOOGIE'S CHEAT MEAL!"; where he went to Jesse's room to beat him with a light saber just to get rid of the past since Jesse was annoyed about the skin irritation he is having at the moment and Jesse even claimed that he's driving Jesse insane due to him making a duel fight with lightsabers over the diet Boogie's having, Boogie rationalizes about his "empathy" regardless of Boogie's lunacy. When Jesse wanted peace and quiet, Jesse gets tired of Boogie pleading to sleep with Jesse.

He also tried to throw away Jesse's money back before the latter told Boogie about whatever happened to Karen in the video "CONFRONTING BOOGIE AT THE DAM!"; where Boogie assumed that Jesse just wanted the money to impress Lance and tells Jesse that he stole the money bag from Jesse. All of which he did every single thing was because Jesse didn't love Boogie and was appreciates Lance than Boogie, Jesse says that he loves him like a brother and tried reasoning with Boogie, upon giving Jesse the bag back in a compliant manner, Boogie attempted suicide from the bridge since he felt like dying was the right way to sacrifice himself for Karen when Jesse prevented Boogie from offing himself and told him how it's not worth dying for her and it's all about the money that matters.

As this emotional crisis descended, Boogie is back on good terms with Jesse and apologizes for everything he's ever did in the series.

Personality[]

Boogie[]

Boogie is infamous for being a berserker. Where he was often short-tempered, spoiled, dim-witted, hedonistic, slovenly and aggressive.

Nowadays, he is mature, more rational, sarcastic and a little more knowledgeable about being a content creator compared to Francis (who's just as curmudgeonly and temperamental but more mischievous than him as seen in the video: "FRANCIS VS BOOGIE EPIC RAP BATTLE", it's revealed that Francis is the creation of Boogie, as Boogie dreamt him up to be "so fucking dumb"). However, his unhealthy obsession over anyone touching his Mountain Dew, still remains as a trait.

He claims he is embarrassed at his older videos, saying that he was in a bad state when he thought being slovenly and high-pitched was funny back then, but regrets watching them now. He is a fan of Nintendo games, Angry Birds, and some first person shooter games, and has strong dislikes for stuff like Just Dance and Biggest Loser.

McJuggerNuggets' Boogie[]

This version of Boogie makes him a lot more despicable and insufferable than before.

He is depicted as a toxic friend who goes from fun-loving and cheery, to becoming more petty, melodramatic, clingy, and downright tyrannical. He becomes obsessed over the Psycho series, Jesse's dad and Jesse himself, the latter moreso, to the point where he becomes threatening. Despite acting rational, his insanity grows once he held a gun and raged about what Jesse did wrong with the Psycho series in "boogie2988 is a psychopath.", where he shows sadistic delight in attempting to shoot Jesse's dad and getting the book he was demanding for (it doesn't help that the video "BOOGIE2988/FRANCIS LOSES HIS MIND!", serves as a video of what happened before holding the gun).

At one point, he was seen taking a minor break from the emotional climax, he then went back to doing extremist behavior because of how much he adores Jesse very much by idolizing him and genuinely wanted him to stay by stealing Jesse's money bag because of Boogie thinking Jesse adores Lance more than him. He felt entirely remorseful for Karen and Jesse at the end, which is why he redeems himself.

Francis[]

He shares many similarities to Boogie with being childish, temperamental, incompetent and aggressive, but there's a more arrogant edge to his personality that stands out from Boogie's behavior in both continuities.

He is depicted as a obnoxious and curmudgeonly nerd who can be rather reclusive and self-serving. He is often selfish, whiny, egotistical, stubborn, persnickety, delusional, sadistic and bossy. He also tends to be violent, as he physically/verbally mistreat and underappreciate his hard-working sister and seems to enjoy sabotaging David's date with Boogie's sister from time to time. He is very hard to please, but David makes attempts to get even with Francis and resolve, Francis understands this sometimes, or he would continue to be wrathful, inconsiderate and destructive as he always yells and destroys stuff due to his irritation and prejudice, which he does since he finds it fun.

Despite his wrath, arrogance, delusions, and aggressive behavior, he possesses some level of knowledge behind his acts of immaturity. He does know when to be observant and remorseful when he receives some actual comeuppance for his typically insufferable behavior, this is best seen in "FRANCIS DESTROYS CHRISTMAS!"; as he did apologize to David for being awful to him. This aside, he often goes scott-free with his recklessness and doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes, even after being horrible to David.

He sometimes shows to care about his sister and his pet dog Sammy, as he treats his dog very well and he is sometimes kind to his sister when his chips are down. He seems to have some level of awareness over his ridiculous and reckless moments.

As seen in "Francis / Boogie RAGE Ruins Christmas for 2022!", he is still abusive, wrathful, destructive and forces his cameraman to play games due to the cameraman being paid by Francis himself.
