Wow! If I had known that these ponies were more compatible with me instead of all these mindless forest animals, I would never have lost in such a sad way. I need even more food. Now that I can control them.
~ Bora marvels at the possibility of successfully infecting Equestrians after infecting Golden Harvest.
Spike: Wait! What happened to you?

Bora the Invader: What do you mean, "me"? What do you mean, me?
Spike: I read a book about you. The ponies in it defeated you. How come you came back?
Bora the Invader: Oh, you mean that. The ponies you speak of never defeated me. I only had one unfortunate encounter with a dangerous creature.
Spike: A dangerous creature? Even more dangerous than you?
Bora the Invader: A strange rooster with the body of a dragon. That coward turned me to stone before I could attack him. Because of that, my children couldn't communicate with me. Little by little, they were destroyed until only I was left. I don't know how much time passed, but considering how much Ponyville Village has advanced, I'd guess it was decades. Now that I remember it clearly, I realized that this pony was the one responsible for my return. Oddly enough, she was the only one who managed to defeat that dragon cock, which freed me too. It's a pity I didn't realize it earlier. I would have let her live. After that, all I had to do was wait for the opportunity to assimilate another body. And as luck would have it, the scared rabbit hid right where I hid. That was until a little foal found me. And now here we are. In any case, I have to go.

~ Bora explains to Spike the reason for his return.

Bora the Invader is the titular main antagonist of the Spanish fan animation My little Parasite by IgumiiArt.

He is the only worm of his kind that has the ability to adapt by absorbing various organic matter. He was one of the first living beings in Equestria capable of parthenogenesis, obtained as a result of the "Medicine Worm" project, gaining the ability to inhabit and control the bodies of living beings, and using them as a refuge for himself. He is responsible for the mass infestation of the population of Equestria and the lands beyond with representatives of his kind, in an effort to become the only dominant living organism in the entire world.

Biography[]

Past[]

Originally, in ancient times, Bora was a unique type of worm that could feed on any type of plant, be it medicinal or poisonous, and could adapt to all the conditions and properties that these plants had, strengthening them in turn. Eventually, the zebra population, who were the first to discover Bora's existence, created breeding grounds for it, feeding it plants used for alchemy, producing new and improved types of potions thanks to the mucus it secreted. Later, Zinder, the leader of the zebras at the time, wanted to find a cure based on the joke plant, in an attempt to recreate Bora's adaptation, calling this plan the "Medicine Worm". To do this, he forced the starving Bora to feed on the joke plant, which led to Bora stopping producing mucus altogether, and also stopping eating the joke plant itself. Eventually, Zinder released Bora, believing that the worm had lost its desire to eat plants due to eating the joke plant.

Later, Bora, forced to find a new way to eat in order to survive, began eating various animals, which at first were various small birds and some large insects. Over the course of a long period of eating various animals, Bora strengthened his adaptation skills and adaptation to reproduction, and also discovered the ability to possess and control any living being, using their bodies as a refuge for himself. He later became one of the few animals in Equestria capable of parthenogenesis, striving to feed only himself in order to increase the number of representatives of his species.

Some time later, after Bora and his species had devoured almost all the small animals in the area, leaving only the zebra village untouched, Zinder discovered one of Bora's species. Eventually, the parasite managed to take over Zinder, becoming the first sentient being in history to be assimilated by Bora's species. After successfully defeating the first infected, the village's population was dispersed throughout Equestria out of fear of not knowing how to defeat the virus.

A few years later, Bora invaded Ponyville in an attempt to assimilate the local population, infecting some of the animals of the Everfree Forest, including even Timberwolves. As a result of the actions of several unicorns who participated in the defense of Ponyville, they were able to wipe out all of Bora's species by starting a fire around the village for several months, which eventually killed most of the infected animals. Having failed, Bora fled into the depths of the Everfree Forest, where he encountered a Cockatrice, and was not turned into stone by it for many decades. All infected creatures, left without Bora's control, either froze in place, eventually dying of hunger, or were exterminated by the Equestrians themselves.

Personality[]

Princess Twilight Sparkle: You...you vile worm! You've corrupted my loved ones! Now it's time to destroy you!

Bora the Invader: [sadistic tone] I thought you'd never finish playing with your daughter-in-law.
Princess Twilight Sparkle: Stop mocking me! I'm going to burn you! It's already clear to me that saving an infected body is impossible, so I'm not going to hold back any longer!

~ Bora sadistically mocks Twilight Sparkle after the latter killed the infected Princess Cadance.

Bora is a heartless, sadistic, ruthless, selfish, and exceptionally intelligent parasite. He sees no value in any living creature he encounters, despite being a member of Equestrian fauna himself.

After he successfully kills Golden Harvest, successfully turning her into one of the infected, Bora reveals a side of himself that is in stark contrast to his sometimes neutral demeanor. He is ecstatic at the prospect of infecting all Equestrians to finally establish himself as the sole dominant force in Equestria and beyond.

His inflated ego and delusional sense of superiority are so great that he cannot stand the concept of resistance, disobedience, or moral agency, either from his victims or from those infected who retain sentience and memories of their lives, believing that all living organisms exist only to be infected by him and that they should all serve him alone. This, in turn, also means that he, despite all his intelligence and calculation, rarely takes any opponent or threat seriously.

The most notable trait inherent in Bora is extreme narcissism, egotism, and an obsession with becoming the dominant organism in all of Equestria and beyond. Since he has had several decades to live and observe all sorts of creatures and infect them, and also because he has had almost no real problems in fighting various opponents, his extreme egocentrism is almost expected. He almost does not care about anything except becoming above all living beings.

He has also shown himself to be very cunning, charismatic and a cunning manipulator, able to normally integrate into absolutely any society. A long life and constant practice allows him to take on any role in society and skillfully fulfill it. This life also endowed him with a great mind and the ability to think tactically and strategically in any situation.

Powers and Abilities[]

Genius-Level Intellect: Having lived for several decades and gained additional experience through his bond with the infected he controls, Bora is incredibly intelligent, calculating, and erudite. Due to his intelligence, he was able to hide himself from the Alicorn Princesses for nearly decades, despite Celestia and Luna themselves possessing great knowledge of magic and other aspects of all things Equestrian. He also used his infected to distract and divert the attention of his opponents when he was at a disadvantage in terms of fighting those who were superior to him in strength at one stage or another of their development within their host. He is also able to impersonate any of his hosts, regardless of their gender or age, using his charisma to blend into any society in order to create networks to gather information and obtain new organic materials to spread his species, using the different identities he has assumed, while those he commands or manipulates will be almost completely unaware that he is a parasite. Bora has also been shown to have a very high level of intelligence in combat. He uses his host shapeshifting ability to create six bone blades from Fluttershy's ribs and vertebrae on his back to block fire attacks and instantly rip opponents to pieces.

Superhuman Strength: As a base worm, Bora's physical strength is superior to that of any of the worms he created. Even the strongest of Equestrians, such as Twilight Sparkle, who can smash through buildings with her bare hooves and has great physical durability, and the infected Spike and McIntosh, who could easily fight other infected and outmatch them in all physical abilities, all pale in comparison to Bora. His physical strength is first shown when he instantly destroyed a large boulder that Twilight had pinned him under, easily reducing it to dust with his physical strength. Even while somewhat weakened by the combined attacks of Twilight Sparkle, Spike, and McIntosh, he still possessed enough physical strength to rip McIntosh to shreds, and only take two hits to knock out Twilight, breaking many of her bones and knocking her unconscious.

Superhuman Speed and Reflexes: Bora is incredibly fast in his host body, with speed and reflexes far surpassing not only all of the worms he has created, but even such fast Equestrians as Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Princess Luna, Celestia, and Cadance. His incredible speed was first demonstrated during his first battle with Twilight Sparkle, when Bora nullified Twilight's fire attack by growing bone blades on his back in a second, protecting himself from the attack before it could do any damage to him. Later, he was able to close in on Twilight in a split second and deliver several instant strikes to her so quickly that she did not even have time to immediately understand what was happening or respond to the attacks. He could also constantly and simultaneously deal damage and outspeed the infected Spike and Big McIntosh combined, who were in many ways superior to the normal infected in all physical indicators.

Unlimited Stamina and Endurance: Like all of his self-created worms, Bora has infinite stamina and durability, never tiring or feeling pain. This was demonstrated when he did not flinch or show any signs of pain or agony when he was doused with green flames by Spike. Even after being pierced and burned by hot rocks created by Twilight, and even after being dealt multiple crushing blows by an infected Big McIntosh, Bora showed no signs of discomfort.

Biomagical Adaptive Absorption: Bora has demonstrated the ability to absorb, digest, and dissolve various organic objects. This was first seen when Bora developed immunity to Twilight's fire magic and Spike's green fire breath, due to the fact that he had previously managed to increase the strength of his host's body by tens of times, strengthening his body and neutralizing the effect of fire on himself. He can also absorb hosts infected with his own worms and acquire all of their unique abilities and adaptive skills. However, as Bora himself noted, if there is no infected or uninfected living organism available that can adapt to any new type of force, be it magical or physical, then Bora himself in the host's body will be at risk from this very force.

Combat Form: In his fight with Twilight Sparkle, Spike and Big McIntosh, Bora takes on a more monstrous form, forming six blades from Fluttershy's wings and ribs. These sharp bone blades, located on his back in this form, not only serve as mid- to long-range attacks in combat, but also serve as a faster, up-close attack, as he can increase the strength and thickness of the blades to tear apart opponents even more quickly.

Infected Manipulation: Bora can control the infected to a certain extent, as seen when he was able to take control of a resisting Spike's body to attempt to force him to serve him. However, this ability requires a lot of concentration and effort in terms of the infection process, as Bora can lose control over his infected if they retain free will during the infection process, and if they, along with this free will, retain key memories of their lives that prevent them from succumbing to the control of the parasites inside them and falling under Bora's power again. However, this method ultimately turns out to be ineffective, as Bora can forcibly suppress the memories of those infected who resist his power, completely turning them into obedient subordinates.

Infected Memory Access: Bora can "see" the memories of living beings he has infected, which was seen when he was able to learn information about the Mana 6, as well as the Elements of Harmony, using Fluttershy's body. In addition, Bora can selectively or simultaneously transfer any amount of information from the memories of a particular living being he has infected to all infected. But while Bora himself can use this to provide his infected with information to fight their opponents, Bora himself typically uses this ability to obtain information from his infected about a particular opponent they have dealt with themselves, in order to then develop a reliable strategy against upcoming enemies.

Biokinesis: Thanks to the numerous living organisms he has absorbed, Bora possesses powerful biokinetic abilities, most notably the ability to manipulate the body of his infected host at will and instantly change its shape. While all worms created by Bora share the ability to manipulate the bodies of creatures they infect, Bora takes this to a new level, possessing the ability to alter the appearance, flesh, bones, and organs of his infected host with unprecedented speed and precision, as well as replace any bony elements of his host's body with worm-like appendages of any length and thickness. This was first demonstrated during an encounter with Spike, where he stretched the neck of an infected Fluttershy several meters, replacing her cervical vertebrae with a worm-like appendage. He later fused and transformed Fluttershy's ribs and vertebrae into large, sharp bone blades. Bora later used this ability to increase the thickness of these same bone blades to instantly rip Big McIntosh's body apart.

Bone Blades Mastery: Despite never having received any martial arts training, Bora is nonetheless very skilled in combat, having fought many different powerful creatures of Equestria over his many years of life. In combat, Bora uses sharp bone blades formed from the host's ribs and vertebrae as his primary weapon. However, rather than using the host's flesh as a weapon, Bora contorts his body to project these blades, giving him the added benefit of being able to change their shape and control their trajectory at will.

Quotes[]

Trivia[]

  • His image may well be based on such a famous parasite as The Thing, whose ability to change the body shape of the assimilated host is to some extent similar to Bora's abilities.
