“ | That little place your son is running? It’ll be mine. This region? It’ll be mine. This continent? It’ll be mine. This world? It will ALL be mine… | „ |
~ Boreas proclaiming to take over the world while fighting Inmos. |
Boreas is a stereotypical megalomaniac who possesses an insatiable thirst for power, always trying to gain more and more power whatever means necessary. He is obsessed in taking over the Overworld and becoming its ruler, this pits him against other deities such as Inmos. Being a deity, Boreas sees himself above mortals and other creatures, considering himself superior in every way and gives him the mindset that every being should worship him and only him.
He also has a large dislike towards other deities, though deep down he somewhat respects Inmos.
Biography[]
At some point in the past, Boreas encountered and fought the flint deity, Inmos, before losing to the latter. This caused Boreas to develop hatred towards Inmos and considering the latter as his archenemy. Years later, Boreas would be one of the few deities to survive the Great Deity Genocide initiated by the dark god Horus.
A few centuries before present day, Boreas was tracked down by a group of mages who intended on sealing Boreas away, Boreas was ambushed and sealed away inside a small shard of hardened ice that is locked away in a snowy tundra dungeon.
Events of the Lightning SMP[]
Vault Arc[]
In "God of Ice", Triscuitity ventured off in hopes of finding magical artifacts and securing them in the Vault, he stumbles across a snowy tundra dungeon and proceeds to look inside it. When he entered the dungeon, he was attacked by two frozen skeleton guardians, however he quickly defeated them by shattering them into pieces, Triscuit suddenly heard a voice call out to him. The voice stated it could show him unimaginable power, this intrigued Triscuit and he asked on what kind of power, the voice simply told him to break this pedestal that contains a crystallized ice shard. Triscuit did so, and after breaking the shard, a blizzard suddenly manifested within the dungeon and in front of Triscuit, came forth Boreas.
Triscuit was taken aback at the sudden arrival of the ice god, Boreas then turned to Triscuit and thanked him for setting him free. But he was cut short as Triscuit demanded to know what kind of power Boreas could bestow. Irritated by this mortal’s disrespectful behavior, Boreas decides to have Triscuit make sacrifices in his name to get his blessing, thus he claimed to Triscuit he can only give him powers should the latter commit sacrifices in his name. Blinded by power, Triscuit proposed that he will sacrifice animals in exchange for power, in which Boreas agreed. The two shook hands and the ice god left through a sudden blizzard.
Two days later, Triscuit has constructed a small settlement in the glaciers where he bloodily sacrifices animals repeatedly. After sacrificing a cow, Triscuit looks up to the sky and shouts Boreas’ name and proclaims he has completed his end of the deal, Boreas descends in a swirl of snow and praises Triscuit for proving his faith. Triscuit demands for the promised power in which Boreas rolls his eyes and conjures a necklace of ice that Triscuit wears, the latter feels a surge of power flowing through him as the surrounding temperature begins to drop due to his powers. Boreas tells him to step into the ocean, but when Triscuit placed his foot onto the water, it froze and allows Triscuit to walk on water

- The series co-creator joked that the reason Boreas was able to survive the deity genocide was because he hibernated for years and woke up after the genocide was over.
