“ | With every breath I breathe, I'll make them see what they've done to me. What they've made me! I'll make Crowfeather regret ever looking at Leafpool! | „ |
~ Breezepelt expressing his hatred for his peers, especially Crowfeather |
Breezepelt is a reoccurring antagonist in Moonkitti's Warrior Cats shorts and I Spoil series. He is the childish and aggressive 27-year-old son of Crowfeather and Nightcloud, and constantly antagonizes those who he perceives as having "wronged" him.
He is voiced by Moonkitti herself.
Appearance[]
In the Warrior Cats shorts, Breezepelt is a short, dark gray cat with pale yellow eyes, occasionally having red pupils. He has three large spiked tufts of fur near the base of his tail that he claims to be proud of.
In the I Spoil series, Breezepelt is much larger and has black fur instead of gray. He has the standard white eyes with black pupils that all other cats in the series have, and has many more tufts of spiked fur all over his body.
Biography[]
Shorts[]
Daylight Gathering[]
During the Daylight Gathering, Breezepaw is tasked with competing against Lionpaw, Owlpaw and Pouncepaw in a hunting competition. He and Lionpaw then suddenly fall into a hole, to which Owlpaw announces that he winds by default.
Breezepelt[]
Breezepelt complains about getting banned from a website, claiming he "didn't even do anything illegal that time". Crowfeather asks to talk to him, and he yells at his dad that they hate each other. Crowfeather ignores this and asks his son why he beat up a pregnant lady and a nun (referring to Poppyfrost and Jayfeather, respectively). Breezepelt argues that Jayfeather can't be a nun because he's a tom, and his father says that he's admitting to attacking them. Breezepelt doesn't seem to care, asking if Crowfeather has even read the book Eclipse, and states that his new role model is Brokenstar, who he specifies is the former ShadowClan leader who killed kits by forcing them to fight to the death.
Nightcloud comes in and excitedly asks if Crowfeather is speaking to their "baby boy", to which the former tries to convince her that their son is evil by telling her that he's been training in Hell ( also known as the Dark Forest). Nightcloud says that doing so must be so hard for their son and gives him $700, which Breezepelt immediately uses to shop for axes on the internet, with his mother assuming he wants to be a lumberjack. Crowfeather takes away Breezepelt's laptop, with Breezepelt saying he'll just start bullying children in real life.
Ivypool's Converted[]
When Hawkfrost brings Ivypaw to the Dark Forest, Breezepelt id briefly seen repeatedly hitting a fellow trainee.
Border Fight[]
Lionblaze and Breezepelt encounter each other on their Clan's border while the latter hunts. Lionblaze tells Breezepelt that he's lucky that the bird he caught was on WindClan territory, otherwise they'd have to fight. Breezepelt agrees that it's a good thing the bird wasn't on the opposing territory, before throwing it at Lionblaze's face. Angered, the ThunderClan tom states that his mother is more attractive than Breezepelt's, which causes the two to start fighting.
Ivypool Lies[]
Tigerstar announces that it's time for the trainees to learn their mission, and Breezepelt encourages him to tell them. When the Dark Forest trainees are giving their reasons for being recruited, Breezepelt casually mentions how he holds a grudge against Crowfeather for having an affair nearly two decades ago.
Change Sides[]
While the other trainees are admitting that they don't have any desire to get revenge on their Clanmates, Breezepelt shoves Applefur and Harespring out of the way and states that he'll make his Clanmates pay with his every breath, Crowfeather especially. Harespring replies that he's not with him. The trainees then question what the Dark Forest cats will do if they win, to which Mapleshade starts moping that she trained them the best she could, just for them to refuse going alone with her plan. Breezepelt angrily asks if his fellow recruits just made Mapleshade cry, claiming she's just an innocent old lady.
Afterwards, all the trainees decide to leave the Dark Forest and fight on their Clans' side during the upcoming battle. Breezepelt openly objects to this though, and Redwillow back him up, just because he thinks it'd be funny.
Breezepelt gets away with it[]
Onestar states that all of the former Dark Forest trainees should be forgiven, with Mistystar pointing out that Breezepelt, his own warrior, was the only one of the trainees to fight alongside the Dark Forest the entire time, though Onestar denies that having anything to do with it. In an effort to provoke them, Breezepelt tells Lionblaze and Ivypool that he's going to date Heathertail and steal ThunderClan's prey as soon as he goes back home. He then tries to provoke Dovewing as well, but since he doesn't know much about her, asks her what he can do to annoy her. Dovewing then tells him about her relationships troubles with Tigerheart and Bumblestripe, and the WindClan cat quickly interrupts stating he regrets asking. Tigerheart then approaches and he and Dovewing start to crowd around Breezepelt while talking to each other as he desperately tries to keep them away from him.
Breezepelt Romance[]
Breezepelt tells Heathertail about how he's constantly angry and wanting to kill, which Heathertail finds romantic. When he questions why when she was previously adverse to Breezepelt's aggression, Heathertail states that she might've been before, but that she hasn't had a personality for years. Hearing this, Breezepelt then tells her that her and Nightcloud are the only two cats that don't fuel his bloodlust while Nightcloud cheers him on. Heathertail concludes that this must be every girl's dream. Breezepelt then asks her to make sure their future children inherit the spikey tuft of fur on his rear that he's manifested.
Onestar[]
Breezepelt and Nightcloud watch nearby as Onestar tells Crowfeather that he should just accept that his son is a killer, accusing him of being a bad father otherwise. Crowfeather looks at the two and back at Onestar, who takes offense to this and banishes him from WindClan.
Top Secret Side Character Party[]
Breezepelt attends a group rebelling against the possessed Bramblestar where he claims that the group is planning to kill all ThunderClan cats, which Finleap quickly refutes. When Rootspring points out the the group is mostly made up of background characters and that the only plot-relevant ones there are Twigbranch, Finleap and Breezepelt, the former two desperately ask not to be compared to him as he laughs evilly.
accidental Squirrelflight shipping war[]
When a group of cats from all Clan gather to figure out who's possessing Bramblestar, Breezepelt announces that he's going to compile a list of the hottest cats in the Dark Forest. Crowfeather says that's a good idea, to which Squirrelflight responds that it's a terrible idea. Breezepelt looks at her angrily, and Crowfeather tells her to be quiet, saying he's trying to be supportive of his adult son.
I Spoil[]
The Sight[]
After Jaypaw wanders off and falls into the lake, Crowfeather and Breezepaw awkwardly take him home. Shortly after, at the Gathering, Lionpaw meets Breezepaw and Heatherpaw. Breezepaw is one of several cats who complain about Graystripe's new mate, a former kittypet named Millie, showing up. Later, when a ThunderClan patrol visits WindClan, Breezepaw tells them that they're ugly before they leave.
At the Daylight Gathering, Breezepaw competes in a life-or-death game of table tennis with Lionpaw, where the loser would lose their soul. Lionpaw wins due to his siblings' cheers of encouragement, and Breezepaw falls into darkness. Jaypaw then jumps in and saves Breezepaw's soul from being destroyed. He's then taken to the medicine den, where his parents Crowfeather and Nightcloud come to check on him. Leafpool assures them that he's fine, and falling into the darkness just made him evil, to which Crowfeather replies that he already was.
Dark River[]
WindClan attacks ThunderClan over the ongoing dispute over who can and can't eat squirrels, and despite having invincibility, Lionpaw gets his ear torn by Breezepaw during the battle. Later, Leafpool goes to WindClan with Jaypaw for a diplomacy mission, but he just yells at them. This scares away three of WindClan's kits, and without their charming morality, Onestar, Ashfoot and Breezepaw aim their death laser at RiverClan.
When Hollypaw, Jaypaw and Lionpaw go into the underground tunnels to search for the kits, they run into Heatherpaw, who is also searching, and who brought along Breezepaw seemingly just to piss the three off. The five apprentices sit around and fight with each other until the spirit of Fallen Leaves shows up and guides them to the kits. The tunnels then begin to flood, and the eight cats swim out and get to ThunderClan, where they lie about where they found the kits.
Outcast[]
When going to the mountains to help the Tribe of Rushing Water with a rogue problem, Squirrelflight and Hollypaw fetch Crowfeather to go with them, who brings Breezepaw along as well as punishment for his delinquency. Jaypaw briefly considers poisoning him, but decides against it. Breezepaw then travels to the mountains alongside Crowfeather, Hollypaw, Jaypaw, Lionpaw, Squirrelflight, Brambleclaw, Tawnypelt, Stormfur, Brook, Night and Talon. As the group travel, Crowfeather asks him if he knows how to catch squirrels in the mountains, while Hollypaw and Stormfur comment how much they hate him.
When they stop for the night, an elderly loner named Purdy shows up, who everyone but Breezepaw is ecstatic to see. He then starts bonding with Hollypaw, Jaypaw and Lionpaw over their shared distain for old people, so a bunch of karmatic dogs chase them, and Purdy saves them by blasting the dogs with his laser vision. When they get to the Tribe, Breezepaw helps teach the Tribe cats how to fight.
Eclipse[]
On the way home from the mountains, Breezepaw gets into fights with the other three apprentices. He then goes hunting with Lionpaw and Hollypaw, catching a large rabbit. Everyone compliments him on his catch except for Crowfeather, who instead compliments Lionpaw's to be polite. Breezepaw is enraged and starts freaking out, causing everyone else in the group to think about how thankful they are that Crowfeather isn't their father.
Sunrise[]
After Ashfur is murdered, a ThunderClan patrol goes to interrogate WindClan, leaving when they see Breezepelt and Heathertail kissing. Later, after Hollyleaf announces at the Gathering that Leafpool and Crowfeather are her and her brothers' birth parents, Crowfeather reminds everyone of Breezepelt's existence, which only upsets them more.
The Fourth Apprentice[]
During a drought, Breezepelt yells at Jayfeather and Poppyfrost at the drying-up lake for drinking water in an area slightly angled towards WindClan. Jayfeather tells him to stop, and he responds that he hates his half-brother for being born, saying he made him and his father look bad. Breezepelt's grandmother and deputy Ashfoot then shows up and asks what he's yelling about, to which he claims that it's just a little misunderstanding.
Later, when following Poppyfrost to the Moonpool, Jayfeather picks up Breezepelt's scent and figures out that he's been following her as well. At the Moonpool, Poppyfrost tells the medicine cat that she wanted to visit her sister Honeyfern's spirit, and Jayfeather says it doesn't work that way. Breezepelt then materializes, saying it will if he kills her, and his half-brother points out that's illegal. He claims that it's ok to kill her if he has a good motive for it. Jayfeather tells him to take him instead, which makes the WindClan warrior think he needs to kill an additional cat to balance out his Clanmate's gossip.
The spirit of Brokenstar then appears, and he and Breezepelt begin beating up Jayfeather with plastic lightsabers, somehow giving him a deep wound on the side of his torso. Honeyfern then shows up and uses holy magic to drive the two away, as it's super-effective on both the undead and Breezepelt. After Poppyfrost carries Jayfeather home, neither of them tell their Clan about their encounter with Breezepelt. A month later, Jayfeather finally tells Lionblaze about this, speculating if the Dark Forest is recruiting living trainees, which his brother confirms, apologizing for not telling him sooner.
Fading Echoes[]
Breezepelt is now the Dark Forest's newest recruit, and Tigerstar, Brokenstar, Hawkfrost and Darkstripe all work together to gaslight him. Later, when Dovepaw and Ivypaw sneak into WindClan to check on Sedgewhisker, Breezepelt growls at the two of them. Heathertail tells him to stop embarrassing her, and he replies that he can't help it, because he's "like a wolf."
Night Whispers[]
While spying on Ivypaw's dreams, Jayfeather sees her fighting with Breezepelt in the Dark Forest while Hawkfrost and Brokenstar supervise. Later, Breezepelt throws a bird at Lionblaze while he's hunting with Leafpool. He then says that the bird is his, and Lionblaze tells him to come get it. The two starts fighting while Crowfeather watches, and Nightcloud shows up soon after. Breezepelt then starts to attack Leafpool, and Crowfeather stops him, causing Nightcloud to scratch him. Crowfeather hisses at her for this, and Breezepelt then begins yelling at him in her defense while the ThunderClan cats watch in discomfort. At the Gathering, Breezepelt and Nightcloud are muttering to each other about how WindClan might be attacked. Later still, on Ivypaw's next visit to the Dark Forest, Breezepelt is in the crowd listining to Tigerstar announce his plan of having the trainees help attack the living world.
Sign of the Moon[]
While spying on the Dark Forest for the Clans, Ivypool sees Breezepelt and Tigerheart attacking each other. She later attends a dance class taught by Hawkfrost alongside Breezepelt, Tigerheart and Ratscar.
The Forgotten Warrior[]
While watching Ivypool and her father Birchfall washing their paws in a stream, Breezepelt and Heathertail argue over whether or not they should attack them. Breezepelt threatens to beat Ivypool up in her dreams, which Heathertail somehow doesn't hear. Later, in the Dark Forest, the spirit of Antpelt puts himself in charge, which makes Breezepelt angrily hiss at and insult him.
Breezepelt is disturbed by Ivypool killing Antpelt so Brokenstar will give her a promotion, and is even more determined to make her pay than he was before when he saw her washing off her paws. While ThunderClan and WindClan are fighting in the tunnels due to Sol, Breezepelt confronts Dovewing and asks how she could be mean to Sol, calling him his best friend, and Heathertail adds that Jayfeather supposedly killed Flametail. He then attacks her, but she jumps over him, so he attacks again and pins her down. Before he can kill her though, Ivypool punches him through one of the tunnels' walls, and everyone laughs at the Breezepelt-shaped hole left behind.
