~ Brendan after the Survey Corp's deaths |
Brendan is one of the four main characters of the YouTube parody series “If Pokémon Trainers were in” by Gumbino. He, along with the other trainers, travels through several worlds looking for Pokémon, and often causes trouble in them.
Personality[]
He is a dedicated Pokémon trainer who’s always excited to find new Pokémon when he travels to other worlds, and always thinks he’s in a new region. Like Ash and Gold, Brendan can come off as rude, harsh and selfish at times, often not caring if his actions cause other people to get hurt.
Despite this, he’s also one of the most empathetic among the trainers, as he felt bad for kicking Ash off the group, and wanted to cheer up Deku who was crying. However, this only happens sometimes, as he also felt no remorse for indirectly getting the Survey Corps killed and ruining Deku’s dream.
Biography[]
If Pokémon Trainers were in Attack on Titan[]
The four trainers arrive in the Attack on Titan world, in what’s presumably either the Shiganshina District or the Trost District. Before they get to explore, Brendan suggests that Ash should leave the group, which the latter accepts, though Brendan later feels bad for it.
The four trainers find the two professors, who are suddenly eaten by Titans. The trainers are then rescued by Eren and brought to the roof of a building, where there’s also a little girl and the CP9 members. There, Gold points out how they could defeat all the Titans in the region if they had pokeballs, and Brendan agrees, stating he has a few pokeballs. The little girl states that she is skeptical of the Pokeball and Eren throws her off the building.
Brendan then gives pokeballs to Eren and the CP9 officers, and then gives them a speech for them to go down and fight the Titans using the pokeballs. However, after they leave, Brendan admits to Gold that he knows the pokeballs definitely won’t work. The four soldiers try fighting the Titans using the pokeballs, but it fails and they end up getting massacred. After watching it, Brendan and Gold decide to simply move on to the next region
If Pokémon Trainers were in My Hero Academia[]
The four trainers fall into the world of “My Hero Academia”, near UA High School. They find Deku crying, since he wanted to become the best superhero in the world. Brendan tries to encourage him, but after hearing Deku admit he has no quirks, Brendan gets angry and harshly tells him his dream is stupid, since there’s no way one can become a superhero without powers. Unsurprisingly, Deku continues crying and runs away. Gold tells Brendan he went too far, but the latter defends himself saying he was just telling the truth.
The principal of U.A High School, Nezu, finds the four trainers and presumes they are there to enroll in the academy. Red leaves, but the other three decide it’s a good idea to join the school. Nezu states that, in order to join, they need a good quirk. Gold and Brendan admit they have no quirks while Ash states he can jump really high, and Nezu decides to accept all except Ash.
