Brent Rodriguez is the secondary antagonist of the 2010 found footage horror thriller film Slender 2: The Arrival. At first, he seems to be just a usual unlikable jerk who annoys everyone with his insensitive behavior but then the events of the film start to reveal that he's worse than that.

He is played by Dacre Montogomery.

Early Life[]

Nothing much is known about his childhood but it's confirmed that just like Dylan Mitchell, Brent also abuses Ryder and this time for fun while also hating children and animals, showing sadistic glee at seeing her kill an innocent dog.

Whenever Dylan does bad things to Ryder, Brent always finds it funny and has probably helped her out with doing it while getting annoyed when their friend Bryan Roberts always interferes, which actually shows that him and Bryan actually hate each other.

Before the events of the film, he was at a party one time and saw a girl named Beth Hughes that he was crushing on but was being inappropriate and disgusting towards her by spanking her butt to get her attention, putting his arm around her, and making some uncomfortable comments towards her, causing her to understandably reject him.

Not wanting to take no for an answer, he roofied her by spiking her drink and dragged her into a bedroom where he raped her.

After finding out that she was pregnant, he selfishly scolded her for getting pregnant and abusively demanded her to get an abortion by threatening her and she reluctantly did get one, causing her to get infertile and lose her chance of becoming a mother.

Unknown to him, he became a target of The Chaser, who hates him and the group for their unforgivable sins and decides to punish them.

Slender 2: The Arrival[]

At the start of the film, Brent already shows himself as unlikable by making insults when coming online and getting annoyed when someone lectures him over it while also showing no concern for

When the attacks happen, he already shows that he doesn't care at all but instead, it's because he's worried about someone ruining his fun and career, not caring about the ones who are getting killed.

When his affair with Dylan is revealed, he cruelly brags to Bryan about it and enjoyed his time with her while not caring how Bryan felt about it, despite Bryan planning to dump Dylan for her crimes.

When his crime is revealed, he gleefully admits it and selfishly blames her for saying no to him when it's his fault for being inappropriate towards her.

When Bryan scolds him for it and points out that the poor girl got infertile from it, Brent still doesn't care and shows no remorse for ruining the girl's life but instead cruelly claims that he didn't ask her to get pregnant, much to Bryan, Ryder, and the audience's anger and disgust towards him.

Fortunately, the attacker punishes Brent by possessing him and forcing him to grind his hand and neck in the blender, which everyone flinches at but show no sympathy for him and rightfully thinks he had it coming for what he did to that innocent girl.

After his death, Bryan commits suicide to expose Dylan's true nature and the said girl got what she deserved in the end.

Aftermath[]

Just like Dylan, nobody misses Brent at all and are glad that he's dead with his parents angrily disowning him for what he did and Beth being happy that her rapist is in Hell for what he did to her and her unborn child.

Even better, it's confirmed that he was sent to Hell for all Eternity and is suffering everlasting punishment for his unforgivable and disgusting crimes.

Personality[]

Even before his true nature is revealed, Brent is already shown as an irritating and insensitive jerk who shows no concern for a missing child and keeps making comments that gets on everyone's nerves all the time.

In the climax, he's finally revealed to be an abusive, misogynistic, sadistic, and psychotic rapist who roofied and raped an innocent girl just for rejecting him and ruined her life by making her infertile forcing her to get an abortion which he shows no remorse for but instead selfishly blames her for saying no to him and cruelly claims that he didn't ask her to get pregnant.

Just like Dylan, he is beyond redemption and can never be forgiven for what he did while also is shown to help her pick on Ryder and showed sadistic amusement when she murdered an innocent dog, showing that he also hates children and animals.

Trivia[]

Along with Dylan, he's one of the most horrible and despisable characters in the film.
He's so horrible that even his actor and parents hate him. Heck, his own actor had a hard time playing him and thinks he was the worst role that he ever played.
It's unknown why Dylan agrees with his crime when she's a female herself but considering how evil she is, she probably doesn't care about her fellow females and also enjoys what he's done.
