Brett McGhar is a supporting antagonist in It: Has No Gender.
Serving as a minor character in Six Phone Calls, and a supporting antagonist in Summer Of 2023 and 27 Years Later. He is the ex-boyfriend of Angel, who wishes to make her hurt like "she made him hurt." He teams up with Skyler and Jody to best Caleb and Angel, to which they succeed. He then later goes on to be the Chilton County News Reporter, helping Draven win the election and helping her try to stop the friend group of causing trouble.

Brett is a brash and rebellious teenager who thrives on pushing boundaries and challenging authority. He is quick-witted and sarcastic, often using humor as a defense mechanism. His confidence can sometimes come across as arrogance, and he is known for being a troublemaker at school. Brett's main goal is to get revenge on his Angel for breaking up with him. He is determined to make her regret her decision and is willing to go to extreme lengths to achieve this.
Brett's motivation stems from a mix of hurt pride, a desire for validation, and a need to assert his power and control in the situation. He feels deeply wounded by the breakup and is driven by a sense of anger and betrayal.
As an adult, Brett is an egotistical and self-absorbed individual who believes he is superior to others. He exudes arrogance and has a tendency to belittle those around him. He is highly ambitious and will stop at nothing to further his career, often at the expense of others. Brett can be charming when it serves his purposes, but his true nature is that of a manipulative and narcissistic individual.
He wants to see Caleb suffer as much as he can, even voting for the opposing side just so Caleb can lose.
