Brian Felixon was a victim in Monster Attorney. He instigated a fabricated incident that occurred months prior to his death after having a fall out with Ginky. After inviting Ginky to make amends over the situation, he was accidentally murdered by his chauffeur Forest Navael.

History[]

Brian Felixon at one point became a wealthy monster and was married to his wife Cerebella Felixon. He had a business rivalry with Yvette Xernia before she retired and owned a boat business instead. He stayed in his mansion alongside his wife alone at the time.

However, one day Felixon went out to search for his wife in the middle of the night. That's when he saw her body up in a balcony and a hooded figure fleeing into the alleyway. He pursued the suspect but never saw them and only saw the cloak thrown in the trashcan. During the trial, he testified that he saw the cloaked figure escaping the crime scene, but the prosecutor denied his testimony and convicted Joel Cubins for the murder much to Brian's disdain.

Timothy Ginky would later ask him to take in a group of monsters in his mansion as job work but Felixon declined. Felixon would eventually be confronted by "his wife's killer" who threatened to kill him if he didn't let them in. Felixon reluctantly complied with their demands and decided to give the group of monsters the jobs they needed. They served in his mansion, and he accommodated all of them with their needs and lived as friends. He hired Chief Investigator Magnus Fie to investigate the break in incident in hopes he would find his wife's killer once and for all.

Timothy Ginky would eventually invite him to a meeting on a lake owned by Xernia. After Ginky went back to the cabin to ask Xernia some questions, Felixon noticed the bag and opened it for himself. When he saw the cloak and retracted spear, he pieced everything together and became furious. He then asked Ginky to invite Xernia in order for him to pull off a plot against Ginky. While out at the lake, he purposely dropped his glasses in the lake and pretended he lost them. He asked Xernia to look for his glasses all so he can be alone with Ginky. When Ginky tried to speak to him, he immediately opened the bag much to Ginky's shock and hit his side with the spear in order to scare him. Ginky explained to him that he was only trying to help those in need which Felixon realized Ginky never meant to harm him and was only doing his best to solve their situations. That's when Felixon decided not to fully go through with his plan and pinned the blame on an arbitrary culprit instead. After stabbing himself with the spear, he made Xernia wear the cloak so she can flee from the scene in order to create a witness over the cloaked monster. He was carried back to the shore where the investigators arrived. He decided to not press charges over the incident, leaving everyone baffled over his decision.

Months after the incident, he invited Ginky back to his mansion to make amends over the incident. They both talked and played at the pool and Felixon allowed Ginky to stay at his mansion for a little while. Felixon left the pool in order to fetch Ginky's cloak. Upon returning to the pool, unbeknownst to anyone Forest Navael made plans to kill Ginky. Upon seeing the cloaked figure, he jumped at the sight of it only to realize it was Felixon. Not wanting to back down from his murder attempt, Navael dropped the knife and drowned Felixon to death. Ginky then saw the body and took the cloak from him before his arrest.

After Felixon's death, the truth behind their employment along with the incidents were brought to light. Forest Navael lamented over the fact that the murder was completely unnecessary and felt extreme remorse and guilt over his death. Nigel Lawson would go on in the subsequent trial and prove the true culprits behind his wife's murder and the mastermind behind it.

Personality[]

Brian Felixon was a wealthy monster who cared deeply about his wife and was heartbroken when she was murdered. Felixon would go through any lengths to make sure her killer was found. Although he was vengeful when he found out he was being manipulated by Ginky and planned to frame him for a fabricated crime, he can come to his senses and forgive him after seeing he wasn't trying to be malicious and was only doing what he thought was right. Despite being blackmailed in to employing his mansion keepers, it's likely he saw them as his friends as he didn't plan to tell the truth behind their employment despite knowing the truth behind it and he treated them with kindness and care.

Trivia[]

  • Brian Felixon's plan ironically fits the M. O of the cloaked monster. The cloaked monster is one who is not the culprit but rather an arbitrary culprit others put their attention to. Although technically in this case the cloaked monster is the culprit since he wore the cloak pretending to be the culprit. However, the M. O still applies due to Yvette Xernia donning the cloak as the intent was to pin the blame on a phantom suspect just like the other incidents involving the cloak.
  • Brian Felixon's plan mirrors the one of his killer's, in which the plans both incidents shifted course upon realizing a factor wasn't something they intended or considered. In Felixon's case, it's that Ginky wasn't actively being malicious to him and Navael's case is that the cloaked figure wasn't Ginky but rather Felixon himself.
