“ | Give me the tape now! You have no other choice! | „ |
~ Bruce telling Squirtle to surrender the tape that could expose him ripping up the document that could save Pokehood. |
Bruce Hanes is the main antagonist of the Youtube film, OMC Movie: The Movie and it's continuation OMC Movie: Purepocolypse as well as a major antagonist in OMC Movies: Season 3. He is the European corrupt CEO of the Power Plant company, Pure Power, he is hellbent on bombing Pokehood and putting a Power Plant in it's place to avenge his family.
Appearance[]
Bruce is a tall man with black hair and brown eyes. He wears a green vest, white shirt, gray jeans, and blue shoes. Although he got a design change when he first broke out of jail wearing a blue suit jacket, buttoned up shirt, black jeans, and gray shoes.
Personality[]
While Bruce is presented as a nice man, he is quickly shown to give off red flags when he says "upcoming doom for your neighborhood" and is downright sadistic and cruel. He wants to bomb Pokehood and build a Power Plant in it's place, he doesn't care if anyone gets hurt or doesn't have enough time to move out. He even is proud of how corrupt he is in his cut song, I'm The Most Corrupt is even more proof of that. The reasoning for him wanting to bomb the neighborhood is said in the cut song and in advertisements for the movie, however he lies and says it's because without electricity everyone will die. He is very sadistic, cunning, confrontational, and downright corrupt as he confronts Charmander and Squirtle when he explains he won't let them run away.
While Bruce is obviously extremely corrupt, that looks like nothing compared to everything else. But, stealing an important document that states the neighborhood cannot be bombed, trying to slow down an Uber -with children inside- by shooting at it, and willing to run over or shoot people, children included, with his car, while getting extremely sadistic about it, crosses the line.
Biography[]
Past[]
In Bruce's past it's revealed he's had a really rough childhood as his family moved into Pokehood and were mocked very harshly during the War of Rona. This was revealed in the episode Purepocolypse as it's clear it's affected Bruce, and vowed revenge on Pokehood for the way he and his family were treated once he became the CEO of Pure Power. He also claimed he would never hurt a fly when he was a child, and that this was the incident that turned him evil.
OMC Movie: The Movie[]
“ | Oh you mean... THIS?!... WELL JUST LIKE YOUR LITTLE PLAN, IT'S ABOUT TO GO OUT THE WINDOW! | „ |
~ Bruce revealing the document and ripping it up in front of Charmander and Squirtle |
Bruce is the CEO and Boss of Pure Power and wants to build a Power Plant in place of Pokehood after it's bombed. He has his employees install white boards in the residents houses to show how much time they have left before the neighborhood is blown up. He does multiple updates throughout the movie given the time and how upset he is no one has moved out, one of these instances contained him beating up his camera man all because Bruce wasn't ready, which truly showed some of his evil nature. He keeps a document in his office that keeps Pokehood protected from being blown up.
During the failed block party, Bruce has Jiggly Puff as prisoner for getting in his way and throughout the film talks to her and mocks her, even revealing his plans to bomb Pokehood to her, while trying to keep a low profile. Each time he sees Jiggly Puff he comes out of the bathroom. In another broadcast to Pokehood, he reveals how disapointed he is that no one moved out of Pokehood, he states how he's best friends with the mayor and brainwashed him by bribing him with life success in order to accomplish his goals. It's revealed later on that Mayor Rockruff didn't pay attention to the document and pretty much let himself get manipulated by Bruce, he threatens deadly force on all the residents if they didn't move out. It's also revealed he bribed Donald Trump with life success to get his way, and is allowed to kill everyone in Pokehood if they don't evacuate their beloved neighborhood.
Bruce gets a notice on his phone when the boys shoot the camera and it shows them in the hallway. Bruce gets ready to meet them when a guard catches them and takes them to Bruce's office. When Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur confront Bruce about the document he claims it doesn't exist and kicks the boys out of the building. Bulbasaur is then shown to spy on Angel Dust and calls Charmander and Squirtle when they thought all hope was lost, and the document is in Bruce's possession, Bruce also orders for the three of them to be kidnapped. Angel Dust keeps the key to unlock all of Pure Power. After a fight with Angel Dust the boys manage to run off with the key.
The next morning Charmander and Squirtle break into Pure Power to look for the document with the help of Bulbasaur. Bruce is skeptical because he hears the Uber pull up to Pure Power and orders Jiggly Puff to stay where she is, although she didn't have a choice. Bruce wanted to check the cameras but he accidentally opens up the entire prison and Jiggly Puff escapes. An angry Bruce orders his guards to go search Pokehood and bring Jiggly Puff back. After Charmander and Squirtle can't find the document Bruce opens the door and walks up to them. He reveals the document after Charmander asks what he'll do with them and then Bruce pulls it out and rips it apart. Bruce then throws the document out the window, and orders his guards to lock up Charmander and Squirtle. They then sneak back into his office to grab security footage of Bruce ripping the document and Bruce catches this on camera.
When Bruce notices this, he approaches Charmander and Squirtle and threatens them to hand the tape or they get hurt. The boys run out with the document, with his guards chasing Squirtle, until Squirtle throws the tape to Charmander and Bulbasaur, Bruce goes after them. As the Uber arrives the three boys get in with Bruce chasing after them. Bruce first locates the Uber in a parking lot and tries to latch onto it with string which fails and he starts chasing the Uber as it goes farther, when he catches up Bruce orders Squirtle to give him the tape, to which Squirtle responds with throwing a tape dispenser at his bike. Bruce then pulls out a gun to try to kill Charmander, and they both end up shooting at each other. Bruce knocks Charizard and Pikachu out of the way as he tries to continue to kill Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur so there is no more interference with his plans.
The Uber crashes near the house and Bruce is finally exposed for his true crimes after the boys climb out of the car, but he's not ready to give up just yet. As Mayor Rockruff is about to tell Bruce he is no longer allowed to destroy Pokehood he sends in his guards and a fight breaks out. As they get knocked out, even Angel Dust, Bruce still isn't done. Bruce says he will destroy Pokehood whether the residents like it or not. An angry mob is ready to confront Bruce, and Bruce tries to get away from the mob by car jacking the Uber. A crowd stops him and he tries to run over them, which included children. Charmander and Squirtle meet him around the car door and Bruce pulls out a gun ready to kill Charmander and Squirtle. Squirtle will say he'll shoot if he moves and Charmander tells him to stay right where he is. He then threatens to kill everyone living in Pokehood until a cop comes by and finally puts an end to Bruce, arresting him and sending him to jail.
OMC Movie: Purepocolypse[]
One year later, Bruce breaks himself out of jail and goes to a Target to find a new outfit to not get caught by the public. After finding his outfit, he declares that his name will now be known as "Christopher Heinz" and tells the audience his tragic backstory of when he used to live in Pokehood. Angel Dust comes to pick him up and the two are off to the Mayor's office where he manipulates him into agreeing to changes that will affect the lives of Charmander and his friends. He shoves Pidgeotto out of the way on the News and announces that "changes will be made to Pokehood" and that they will be "positive".
Moments later, he stops by Charmander's house and tells them that a new Power Plant is being built in Pokehood, when Snorlax asks where they are gonna fit one, he says it'll go on both sides of the house. Charmander and Psyduck quickly figure out what this means and run to Treecko who's getting ready to move out of the house. Charmander tells Bruce he'll stop him and he responds with pushing a button with his cane that activates two explosions, setting the neighbors' houses on fire. After Charmander, Charizard, and Psyduck all attempt to sabotage the Power Plant that was built above the house, Bruce comes by and announces that the family is screwed because their house will be demolished in make way for a new parking lot, telling them Mayor Rockruff approved of it unknowingly and that they have the rest of the night to get their stuff ready to go before the demolishion takes place.
Charmander, Psyduck, and Pikachu all decide to take action and speak to Mayor Rockruff himself. While Charmander attempts to explain to the mayor everything, Bruce comes by under the alias of Christopher stating that there's a petition that states no one wants Charmander or his family there at all and that it inclues Squirtle and Bulbasaur's signatures. Pikachu then steals the petition and the chase is on, when Mayor Rockruff calls in security, he slanders Pikachu and gets him in jail for something he didn't do. Later that night, it's close to midnight and Bruce comes to the house minutes before the demolision takes place.
He then decides to start the process early, breaking the law and yells for his employees to tear the house down, to which one of them gets knocked out. When Jiggly Puff gets thrown out of the Power Plant by Angel Dust, he tries telling them about how Charmander and Bulbasaur broke into the building but instead dismisses him and yells for his employees to move, and sends some monsters to go destroy the house. As Charizard and Psyduck continue defending the house by shooting at the enemy, Charmander and Bulbasaur are seen going into Bruce's office and tracking down the so called 'petition' to get rid of Charmander and his family. Squirtle soon comes in and helps defend the house from Bruce and orders for his men to take him down. Snorlax soon joins the fight when two more of Bruce's men are ordered to take down Charizard, Psyduck, Squirtle, and Snorlax.
Angel Dust is finally able to get Bruce's attention and tells him about how Charmander and Bulbasaur are in the building, and orders everyone to keep fighting, and Angel Dust was to come with him. He confronts the kids when he finds them finding out that the petition was fake and that every signature was under the same IP Address, which also causes Pikachu to be freed from jail, who also bring Officer Cartman and Mayor Rockruff to the house. Bruce and Angel Dust both order the kids to hand over the papers to them, and a chase between Charmander and Angel Dust ensue as Bruce gets ready to kill Bulbasaur. Charmander escapes through a vent and Bulbasaur runs out the room, Bruce goes to track them down as Angel Dust goes back to the house to take everyone else out.
When Charmander reveals the petition was a lie and that Bruce only used it to get rid of them, he comes out with sccissors and cuts up the evidence, and tells him the house will be destroyed afterall. A bunch of the Pokehood civilians soon come by and show their support by chanting that they want Charmander and his family to stay in Pokehood, and Mayor Rockruff realizes he was manipualted, and decides to give back the house and ban Bruce from Pokehood. Bruce goes on to call Mayor Rockruff a moron for not knowing he was Bruce the whole time, and then gets into a car with Angel Dust, planning to kill Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Psyduck, Charizard, Snorlax, and Jiggly Puff by ramming them into the garage. Angel Dust starts to drive the car with the family surrounded, until the car runs out of gas, the people surrounding them are ordered to shoot, but they ran out of bullets and Bruce kills both of the employees.
After Bruce shoots his employees to death, he decides to try and kill them himself, but he instead runs out of bullets. Charmander then tells him that his days in Pokehood are done and he is arrested once again and taken back to jail. With everything seemingly back to normal, on the news, the Power Plant is heard to be getting demolished.
Season 3[]
Bruce is shown inside the prison that was isolated away from the rest of the world. He, as well as all the crimials residing there, all escaped from the island when Angel Dust helped break everyone out, all with the intent for all the criminals to help Joyace plot her revenge against Pikachu.
We see Bruce again when he's inside of an Uber, pulling up to the park Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur are at stating he intends to take revenge on them, he denies the Uber Driver payment and says he killed someone who originally ordered the Uber and the driver says he'll call the police before Bruce threatens his life right then and there. Bruce confronts the trio again, approaching them with crutches saying he likes the attention when Bulbasaur asks him about it. Charmander asks how he even found them and he states it's because he saw them through the window of the Uber. Squirtle asks him what he wants with them now and he states he's still mad about their previous interactions. Bruce says he still wants to kill them and pulls out his gun and pretty much gives away that he's involved with Pikachu's kidnapping. He also starts singing his musical number "It's Gonna Get Weird". After the musical number he tries to kill the kids again until Optimus Prime shows up to defend the boys. Bruce and Optimus get into a fight and during it he points a gun at Charmander for asking a question, shortly after Bruce is defeated in this fight as Joyace calls him back to HQ.
