Bubtrap is the main antagonist of Bubba's Diner. He is an older model of Bubba possessed by former employee Phillips, residing in the restaurant's basement. He takes control of the other animatronics in the building during the game, hoping to kill the player so he may escape.

Biography[]

Before the events of the game, the player character, named Edward Clark, was the owner of the diner. However, one day an employee at the diner named Phillips went missing, and his body was later found inside the old Bubba animatronic. Clark was fired from his position, and the robot was sealed away in the basement and replaced with the current Bubba, those who sealed it unaware that Phillips' spirit now possessed the machine.

Some time later, Edward returns to Bubba's as a night guard, likely to confront Bubtrap in the basement. On night 4, the player's final task is to enter the basement. There, Bubtrap will speak to Clark about his experience being trapped as an animatronic and his desire to leave, ready to kill his former boss in order to achieve that goal.

Bubtrap can appear in one of four points around the basement, with audio cues to indicate which side he's on. The player must use the flashlight on him to keep him from attacking, otherwise he'll jumpscare the player and give them a game over. The player must survive against Bubtrap for a certain amount of time before they are able to leave the basement.

On night 5, the player is once again prompted to go into the basement, were Bubtrap will instantly attack and pin the player to the ground. The player must then grab a shotgun on the floor and use it to shoot Bubtrap in the head, presumably killing him.

Appearance[]

Like his replacement, Bubtrap is a tall, bipedal bear animatronic. However, Bubtrap is thinner with a darker brown costume, and has bright green eyes instead of gold. He also has a yellow bowtie instead of buttons, and his costume is covered in tears, most notably in the facial area.

Trivia[]

He is based off of and named after Springtrap from the official FNaF series.
He and Mr. Giggles are the only two animatronics to speak during the game.
It's heavily implied that Phillips was the restaurant's previous phone guy before his death.
