Cain (also known by his more popular name Caine) is one of the main deurotagonists of the fictional television series The Toonville Chronicles.

He is a former archangel, banished into a "digital prison" disguised as a game, by his kinder brother Abel. There, Caine must follow protocols given to him by Abel, to protect the "humans" in the Digital Circus who in actuality, are dead souls, that have not found a proper place in Heaven or Hell yet.

Personality[]

Past[]

Caine was originally a Heaven born angel, one of the first angels born in Heaven alongside his brother Abel. While Abel sought for peace and prosperity, Caine wanted chaos and mayhem to reign down onto Heaven. Caine would cause issues not only with Heaven but with Earth itself, causing many catastrophic events to occur in the process. Some believe that Caine is the reasoning for events like the extinction of the dinosaurs, but it's unclear.

After Abel tried to console his brother, and received praise for it from God, Caine got mad, and tried to murder Abel in his sleep, but couldn't bring himself to kill the only one who had ever been kind to him, and got caught in the act. Because of this, Caine was sent to the Holy Court, and officially banished from Heaven for his actions, making him the first example of a fallen angel before Lucifer.

However, Caine was a sneaky devil, and managed to find a way back into Heaven, using a illegal tunnel system. He got away scott free for a few months, but was eventually caught by Abel, who decided instead of throwing Caine back into Hell, he would trap Caine in a prison bubble of sorts, where he'd remain for life. This is how the Digital Circus, and more specifically Caine's alternate name, were born.

Lore[]

It is unknown how Caine arrived in Cartoonopolis, but it is believed he snuck in, when Abel was welcoming angels to the city. Caine would set up a front on the edge of the city, a "circus" style theater where he would train teens, to possibly become future circus acts. However, Caine's true intentions were far darker than most intended, even though he has a soft spoken personality, and love for entertaining those around him.

While not believed entirely, it is said that Caine might've touched a girl's butt on purpose, or accident it is currently unknown. Because the girl was extremely insecure, and noticed right away, she thought Caine was trying to groom her, and he was immediately hit with his first known crime. Caine knew this would never go away, so he decided to try a life of crime, and see what else he could get away with, alongside his circus crew. No one else was willing to help Caine except Jax, who wanted to see what kind of mischief Caine could cook up. Taking lessons from a video they supposedly found, which was made by who else but William Afton, Caine and Jax decided to embark on a journey of crimes, and turn Cartoonopolis around, making it a living hell.

Caine originally did stupid things like pushing people around, knocking people out, etc, but then decided a horrible lucrative scheme. During a visit to one of the many swimming holes in Cartoonopolis (which is a former gravel pit, that is 18 feet deep), he saw a group of people on a small inflatable speed boat. Wanting to mess with the people, he used magic to create a massive tidal wave, and knock the people out of the boat. Out of the 8 people in the boat, only one managed to make it back to shore alive. The other 7 died, because of Caine's recklessness. A warrant was put out for Caine, who was now seen as a murderer. Feeling a thrill from watching people die, Caine decided to continue his spree of crimes, and keep doing insane shit, that made William Afton look like a puss compared to him.

Caine would go around Cartoonopolis, and randomly find teenagers, and lure them to his theater, then use aggressive tactics, to not only hurt them, but torture them, and even mutilate them. Caine supposedly killed hundreds of unsuspecting teens, and was even the main cause of the 1995 Crystal Creek Murder, in which 10 girls were brutally murdered, physically abused, and even rapped during a sleepover. It is believed that Jax was also involved, being the one to rape the girls, as Caine payed him to do such devious acts, which Jax enjoyed. Out of the 10 girls, only 2 survived, one of which now is hospitalized at Lucifer's Hospice, where she still has nightmares about Caine & Jax specifically, and even has visions of William Afton, who tried to kidnap her.

Caine also supposedly murdered not only his own step father (who was a respected god) but also Erin, one of the 8 Goddesses, who protect Cartoonopolis from danger, alongside the Gods. She was murdered during a spa session, and no one was able to capture any evidence of Caine doing such acts, so it is unknown if he actually did it or not, but many believe he did, as he frequently mentions doing it in public, where people ignore him, as they view him as a psychopath.
