Cassidy, otherwise known as Golden Freddy, is the secondary antagonist of the web series The Interviewed.

She was the very first victim of "The Remnant Experiments" conducted by William Afton where she had been mercillesly killed by him. Now possessing the Golden Freddy suit, Cassidy has become incredibly vengeful to the point of rage, and seeks to torture Afton for what could be all eternity as a way of giving him "a fraction" of what she and his other victims had to go through.

She is voiced by Tenaxis, who also voices Funtime Freddy and Funtime Foxy from the same series.

Personality[]

Cassidy is shown to have a very cold, calm, yet wrathful personality. She is incredibly spiteful towards William Afton and, out of the belief that he does not deserve death, has purposefully squandered any chances that the other missing children have in finally being rid of him for the sake of her own spite, which also means that none of them could rest, to which she shows complete apathy towards.

Appearance[]

Cassidy takes on the appearance of a limp yellow bear with a black bowtie and top hat, similar to that of Freddy Fazbear, her eyes are completely pitch black with two small white pupils, when she is incredibly angry, her eyes turn a full white.

Biography[]

The Remnant Trials[]

After Afton had decided to continue the Remnant Trials after the first round had failed. Cassidy had wound up being his first victim, being killed back in April 7th 1984. Cassidy would go onto become incredibly vengeful, and wanting more than anything to see Afton suffer. At first, she desired to get her old life back, however, overtime, he was so confused by anger that she no longer desired that, but rather to simply see William burn for all eternity.

An Interview With Bonnie Again/An Interview With Foxy[]

Cassidy makes her first appearance briefly at the end of An Interview With Bonnie Again, where she is seen looking at the wreckage that had been caused by Ennard from afar. From there, it can be assumed that she followed Lefty and her gang from a distance.

Eventually, when Lefty and the other animatronics have had Afton captured with the intention to murder him, Cassidy intervenes, stating that death is too good for him, and that it's exactly what he wants, saying that what she has prepared isn't death, but it is exactly what he deserves, before teleporting in front of him, getting inbetween William and Lefty.

Lefty tries to argue with Cassidy, saying that if Afton is kept alive, then they cannot rest, to which she simply responds by reiterating that death is too good for him, and when Lefty asks what that meant for the rest of them, she just says that it is not relevant.

Lefty from there, tries to seemingly attack Cassidy, only to be blocked by Foxy, who states that Cassidy is correct, and that William does not deserve to die for his crimes, and instead deserves to be kept alive in order to suffer.

Lefty, finding all of this unnecessary tries to sympathaize with them, saying that she understood their anger. This ticks off Cassidy, as she proceeds to lash out at her, stating that she doesn't understand their anger, and that if they did, they wouldn't be killing them so soon, this is one of the rare moments in the series where Cassidy seems to get genuinely angry and breaks her calm facade for just a moment.

When G.E.M.S intervenes in order to try and retrieve Afton for themselves, Cassidy teleports herself, William, and the other phantoms away so that Cassidy can torture Afton alone, without the intervention of the other animatronics.

An Interview With Cassidy[]

Even death Interviewed — The visions of the past deaths that Cassidy shows Afton to torment him.

Following the events of the previous episode, Cassidy has now transported Afton into the location of Five Nights at Freddy's 4 where she begins her torment. William, in complete confusion, asks what she wants him him, to which she responds how through observation, she can see that William is hurting and that he's "an open wound" and that she is looking to make him bleed.

From there, Cassidy would start repeatedly stating her death date to Afton before asking if it sounded familiar to him before dramatically revealing that her death date was the same date that he took his first victim. William responds by angrily asking what she wants, saying that an apology won't fix the damage he's done, nor will it bring her normal life back, Cassidy responds that she is no longer looking to do that.

From there, Cassidy starts tormenting Afton with visions of his past mistakes, reminding him of how he had murdered his wife all for the sake of Elizabeth, who he too had gotten killed thanks to the hand (or rather claw) of his own machine.

William begins begging her to stop, but Cassidy keeps going, pointing out the last death he had caused, his son Evan, who had his frontal lobe chomped down on by the Frebear animatronic that he had created.

Cassidy doing this would wind up driving Afton more and more mad as he begins laughing and crying like a madman, which Cassidy's acknowledges with the upmost apathy. William, in a fit of rage, lashes out at her, saying that he'll kill her just like he did the rest of the children, Cassidy responds by using her telekinesis power to hold William up by the neck before gloating that nothing could match her power, to which, ironically enough, she proceeds to be stunned by G.E.M.S, who manage to find where she is keeping William, using a device to cause her to lose control of herself, then seizing Afton before leaving her there.

At that point, Lefty, who had taken notice of where Cassidy had gone to, approaches Cassidy from behind and disconnects the device, allowing her to go free, to which, expectantly enough, she shows absolutely no greatfullness towards, saying that she should stop messing with things that she doesn't understand, before disappearing along with the phantoms. As of now, this is the last we see of Cassidy, though future episodes are bound to have her make a return.

Trivia[]

While she makes her debut in her current form in An Interview With Foxy, Cassidy, or rather Golden Freddy, actually appeared before this. In the second ever episode of the series, titled "An Interview With Golden Freddy". However, the canonicity of this episode is largely ambiguous, as not only does Golden Freddy act dramatically different in this video than Cassidy would in later episodes, but it's also not listed as part of the Interviewed series on the official playlist, making it possible that this episode is non-canon, and as such, Cassidy's first 100% canon appearance is in An Interview With Foxy.
