Cassie Emerald, also known as the Old Captain 3, is the overarching protagonist/antagonist of Culture of The Past. She was the captain of The Squidbeak Splatoon who protected the city and saved a huge chunk of people from the Splat Lands.
However, it’s later revealed she had to sacrifice several people, including Eddie’s sister Sabrina in order to save others, and sacrificed herself to keep them save. Her actions have obscene effects, as it created Freddie Freezer and Eddie Moss into becoming villains and lead to the Splatoon covering up her actions to not ruin peoples perspective of her.
Personality[]
While not seen, Cassie is said to be serious person who wished to protect Inkopolis no matter the cost, who deeply cared for her loved ones and the civilians. Despite this, her actions in order to do this was morally dubious at best, as in Splat Lands, she sacrificed multiple people in order to save the rest, including Freddie Freezer and Eddie and her sister, which ended in the ladder’s death and the two former becoming villains.
Villainous Acts[]
- In order to save 25 people, including most of her team, she sacrificed multiple people by throwing them into the “things” path to get eaten and even shoot them to slow them down, leading to their deaths, including Eddie Moss’ sister, as well as leaving Freddie Freezer to die, leading the two to become villains (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
