Anthropomorphic Characters are a special sub-genre of villains that are basically animals that act as if they were human (though they may exhibit stereotypes of their species behavior).

Although it is mostly associated with Animals, it is possible for anthropomorphic characters to be inanimate objects, such as vehicles or abstract ideas.

Please keep in mind that not every animal villain is anthropomorphic; they have to act human-like (wearing clothes, walking on two legs, talking with humans, etc.)

Note: Anthropomorphic characters can exhibit human-like traits or behaviors (typically mentally and optionally physically) without necessarily resembling humans physically. However, humanoid characters specifically resemble humans in form or appearance, making them anthropomorphic in a physical sense. Humanoid animals, objects, and other non-human beings can also fall under both categories. For instance, a humanoid animal is both anthropomorphic physically and falls under the humanoid category by having human-like bodies, standing upright, and having opposable thumbs, while maintaining their animalistic forms (e.g., Mr. Puzzles, as a humanoid object). General humanoid characters may specifically resemble humans more closely (such as MX), but certain humanoid characters, such as animals and other beings, can have distinctive non-human forms with human-like characteristics.
