You're such a dumba**, Mario! Why don't you actually think and use your head!
~ SMG4 in Mario's mind, criticizing him for his stupidity.

You and intelligent is like oil and water, they can never mix.
~ Umm Zubair describing Abu Zubair

Dimwits, or Villainous Idiots, are villains who rarely (if ever), use their heads. In other words, these villains are seen as dumb and simple-minded, and are very likely to foil their own plans or other villains' plans and can even cause them to ruin themselves; this is usually due to poor planning, stupidity, ineptitude, bumbling, and the lack of imagination. Furthermore, some of these villains can be viewed as being Amoral, as they may not always be aware of their actions due to their stupidity. Most of these villains are also Incompetent because of their stupidity.

Not to be mistaken with characters who are Mentally Ill, as there is a major difference between the two categories. They are also the polar opposite of Masterminds, who are exceptionally intelligent and resourceful characters. They are better off added to the category Evil Genius if they show some signs of intelligence and talent despite generally having a huge lack in common sense or tact.

Unseen villains usually do not qualify, because they are always not seen, unless there are proofs that the villain is dumb or the villain will be seen at the end.

It is uncommon for a Complete Monster to actually be dimwitted; however in some cases their actions can prove to be too unpleasant, heinous, and cruel that even they could get themselves harmed or worse . Pure Evils who fall in this category tend to be particularly sadistic, impulsive, merciless, and bloodthirsty, and very often require the assistance of more intelligent (or at least more collected) villains. An example for the type of dimwit that lacks an imagination is Apple because he always uses the same plan to kill Orange but with a new and different hazard (save for a few instances where he actually uses actual strategies)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Magnificent Baddies cannot be dimwits. Because those types of villains are very intelligent and it's completely impossible for them to be simple-minded. Also, villains who pretend to be dumb or dim do not act, that is an example of trickery.
