Examples of family cruelty as shown below are:

Familicide: Villains who killed their family members, such as matricide, patricide, filicide, mariticide, uxoricide, and so forth. Examples of villains who committed familicide include: Miles Walker (who killed his family), Revenant Forte (who devoured his family), and Racist Mario (who tried to kill his brother Luigi).
Abuse: Villains who, through one means or another, are callously abusive or tormenting towards their family members. (Stem Cell would be a good example since it intimidated Neurona Amarelo, but not his son Roberino until the end).

NOTE: While villains who engage family cruelty are among the worst of the worst and not very caring people to say the least, some of them can still be protective if they are cruel to a certain family member (in worst case scenario, even all of them) while simultaneously protective towards another individual (e.g. Jill Roberts).
