Fictionalized

Villains in this category were based on real people or true events, but fictionalized and exaggerated in the process. Any historical villain who was portrayed by an actor in a film dramatization belongs here; however, those which have no basis in reality do not.

1. To qualify, characters must be stated to be the inspirational personage, even if in parody (for example, a modern-day twist to Judas Iscariot). Same names for characters which otherwise are not the personage should not apply. Very certain exceptions may be made if the fictional character based on the personage fulfills said personage's role in all but name (e.g. Napoleon to Josef Stalin, from Animal Farm). If the allegory is loose or otherwise vague, the category does not apply.
2. The inspirational personage must have been REAL. For example, no iteration of Gilgamesh qualifies since he was a fictional character in a poem/epic which may call into doubt varied religious personages unless they can be verified by a credible/documented historical source.
3. The character may also be a fictional character that is an alter-ego, other personality, or fragmental part of a real person.

IMPORTANT: THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE COMPLETELY FICTIONAL CHARACTERS THAT WERE INSPIRED BY REAL PEOPLE (i.e. Darth Vader was inspired by Adolf Hitler and Stormtroopers were inspired by Nazis). THIS ALSO DOES NOT INCLUDE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS FROM WORKS THAT ARE ALSO FICTIONAL, UNLESS IF THEY WERE BASED ON REAL PEOPLE OR TRUE EVENTS. THIS CATEGORY IS ONLY FOR CHARACTERS WITH ACTUAL HISTORICAL EXISTENCE.
