Like Psychopaths, Sociopaths have an absence of empathy, guilt, and/or emotional connections. However, while Psychopaths are usually born this way, Sociopaths can be more sympathetic. They tend to have dealt with legal issues, have unstable personal lives, or environmental problems, which cause them to become who they are. It's still very much possible for a Sociopath to inherit their personality disorder.

A tragic event may have started to change the protagonist into a different type of person with different beliefs. Some can also be delusional or even dimwitted as well. They are also arrogant, act on destructive impulse, and have very little regard for the consequences of their actions. Some could have been corrupted at times by more corrupting villains that have much of an impact on such.

Sociopaths can also have a "Trickster" trait since they have a habit of Lying and Deceiving other people for their own benefits of opportunism. They can also have a tendency to be more reckless and aggressive, which can lead them to being irresponsible and get into trouble with the law. (i.e Molalla) Sociopaths tend to get angry or defensive whenever they get confronted (i.e Danyell Radcliff).

Notes[]

  • Do not add this category to organizations or species. It is an individual affliction only and thus only individuals can be diagnosed with it.
  • NEVER, under any circumstances, add villains who are mentally ill or psychotic under this category because, as mentioned above, those types of villains are not completely aware of reality or their identity and suffer severely from various other mental health issues while psychopaths though they have a twisted moral center are completely aware of their reality at all times and don't present the crippling effects of mental illness associated with the other neurotype categories.
  • Do not add a villain to both psychopath and sociopath if they display both traits, just the one they lean more towards.
  • Sociopathy can only apply to villains with defined personalities and characterization. Insufficiently characterized villains do not count.
