The Cave Dweller is an antagonist in the second season of the Minecraft Creepypasta series, being the titular main antagonist of the episode of the same name. It is a demonic, animalistic monster that dwells within a large cave and kills anyone who ventures too deep.

Biography[]
The Creepypasta starts with a person named Marinez talking about how his friends, Mason and James went missing one evening and were never found again. However, Marinez has been able to recover footage of Mason and James playing together on their multiplayer Minecraft world.
While looking for a mine, Mason and James discover a large, seemingly endless cave containing many minerals, especially diamonds. However, both of them become lost after finding a wall of diamonds, seemingly placed by the Cave Dweller, who's footprints are discovered on the ground, although the two brush it off as being a feature added in an update. As they try to escape the cave by digging upwards, they discover that while they're still in the cave, they are at the maximum building height level, leaving them trapped. They dig back down and try to find a new exit, but start hearing strange growls and noises coming from the Cave Dweller.
The two eventually come across a secret base filled with ores and chests, as well as walls stained with blood. They eventually discover a journal written by an unknown author in 1989, detailing his experience in the caves and how his team of miners went missing and slowly began losing their minds. The two leave and hear the Cave Dweller growling before they spot it. It chases after them, leading them to another secret tunnel, ending up in a room filled with bones, blood and the head of a miner. The Cave Dweller leaps from its hiding space and kills Mason. James runs away and hides in a small tunnel. As he peaks out, the Cave Dweller throws the head of Mason at him before dropping from above and attacking him.
The creepypasta ends with Marinez vowing to find and kill the creature to avenge his friends' deaths.
Personality[]
Unlike most villains in the series, the Cave Dweller is a feral beast who's only goal it to kill and eat whoever is gullible enough to come into its cave. It is a remorseless, skilled, dangerous, aggressive predator that has existed for decades and kills without hesitation, being responsible for the deaths of people both in-game and in real life.
