Charles Eborock is the main antagonist of The Coldest Winter. He is a former soldier, who is willing to do anything to become more famous. He was respected by people, but he wouldn’t accept this, and wanted more. Because of this, he has turned into a crazy serial killer who is willing to kill anyone, and enjoys it.
Personality
Before going crazy, it is implied Charles used to be a respectable person. However, this could’ve easily been a facade to his true nature, as he has been seen being smart enough to trick people into letting their guards down, before he strikes.
Charles thinks that nobody cares about him except his sister, which isn’t true, so he thinks that if he is the only one able to get out, everyone would praise him for being able to survive such conditions. He’s a self centred man who thinks it’s all about him, and he should be the only one who gets respected.
He has absolutely no problem in murdering people, and in some cases, he takes sadistic glee in it. For example, he is delighted at the chance of finally killing Dominic after all the trouble he has caused him, and also is happy to let George and Luna slowly suffer. He doesn’t care who he kills or hurts, he enjoys it and shows absolutely no remorse. He knew his sister cared about him, yet he still killed her, to make sure nobody would be suspicious.
Villainous Acts
- He plotted to kill 29 other explorers so he could be the only one to get out, so he would be respected, and succeeded in killing at least 12. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
- He gives Dominic a week to hand in Lucy, but after 1 day, he decides to hunt him down, breaking his deal before it could be made.
- Later when he captures her, he demands Dominic to give him all his stuff in exchange for Lucy’s life, but he then tells Samantha he will kill them both anyway. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
- He destroyed several peoples buildings just for fun.
- He uses his sister to help him with his killings, but once she’s says that her and Charles will be famous, Charles tells her she was just a pawn, and then shoots her. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
- He kills the Alpha Wolf.

Charles is in his 40s, he has a white skin tone, brown hair with sideburns, brown eyes, had a moustache and has a scar on his eye and his cheek. He also is quite tall. He might have gained more scars from his fights, and he is implied to be muscular due to his shown strength.

- Charles was popular, but believed he wasn’t, so he went crazy and lost his popularity. Dominic wasn’t liked much by the townsfolk for his grumpy attitude, but Dominic changes, and saves many lives, gaining respect from the townsfolk.
