Charlie Cat is a supporting antagonist in Playtime with Percy, created by Fazie Funbear. He's a clown-themed cat animatronic who entertained children at Percy's Playhouse before its closure. In the week leading up to him and his fellow robots being sold off, he was taken control of by a virtual pet toy named Pal Percy, who sent them to hunt his owner, a night guard named Nick.

Appearance[]

Charlie Cat is a gray, bipedal cat animatronic with small black eyes and white pupils. His tail tip, inner ears and the top of his muzzle are all light gray, and he has a large black nose. His torso and arms are striped in red, yellow and blue, and he has two large white puffballs on his chest. His hands are white to resemble gloves, and his legs are yellow with large red spots. He wears a pair of large red clown shoes, and he has a yellow party hat with a white rim and a red puffball on its tip. Finally, he has blue, star-shaped makeup on both eyes.

Biography[]

Charlie Cat was an entertainer at Percy's Playhouse, and performed on stage alongside Percy Poodle and Mother Moose, telling jokes and doing tricks. After the establishment closed down, a night guard named Nick was hired to watch over everything before it was actioned off the next week. During the week, Nick's Pal Percy toy took control of the animatronics and sent them after him in a bid to get him to stay forever.

Charlie first activates with Mother Moose on Monday night. Like her, he'll pop out of one of the vents on either side of the office, but unlike her, the player must keep the cameras and their Pal Percy down until he leaves, otherwise he'll attack and end the night. Before the night begins, the player is given a quick tutorial using peices of cardboard with his and Mother Moose's faces on them. After the first night, Nick must auction off the animatronics online, finding offerings that match the amount they're listed for, with Charlie being sold for $800. During this though, Charlie himself will occasionally enter and walk around the room. When the player hears him, they must press E to hide until he leaves. After accepting an offer for him online, he'll then start to take longer to leave.

After Friday night, Charlie and all the other animatronics - save for Percy Poodle - are sold to new owners. In the credits, he and Rowen Rat are seen waving goodbye in a photo, with "MOVING DAY!!!" written underneath in black marker. Another photo shows that he'd been bought by Fazbear Entertainment and is now an attraction at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, which he seems unhappy about, with the writing underneath saying "Ironic Outcome".

Trivia[]

He was originally going to be a tiger, but was changed to a gray cat because orange didn't suit him.
His name was originally going to be Charles the Clown, and he would've had his own circus-themed area.
Like the other animatronics, he was at one point planned to be in the boss fight against Pal before the Tama-Terrors and Pal Poodles took this role.
During the first minigame, Charlie would've had a second mechanic in which he would appear in a vent above the player, who would've had to stare at him to make him go away. This interfered with the minigame's balancing however, and thus was scrapped.
