Chickling the Chicken

Chickling the Chicken is one of the three secondary antagonists (alongside Grise the Pig and Fourly the Sheep) of Bondee's Bardyard: Safety Violation. Like the other enemies of the game, Chickling spends the whole night in search of a child hiding inside Kou the Cow, perceiving them to be a threat.

Appearance[]

Chickling is a small yellow puppet chick. They're somewhat oval-shaped and are separated into two parts, with the lower half containing several blocky teeth that wrap around the entire thing. They have a reddish-orange beak and simplistic feet of the same colour. Like most of the cast (with the exception of Mother), they have sunken in eyes with small black pie-shaped pupils.

Biography[]

Chickling was created to be an robotic puppet at the restaurant Bondee's Barnyard. Like the other puppets there, they have an advanced security system that allows them to track down anyone in the building. They also have enhanced hearing that allows them to hear breathing from the next room over, and are programmed to be incapable of harming any adult, but can still hurt a child.

Chickling first activates at 2 AM alongside Fourly the Sheep. At random, the screen in the ice cream bar will change to show Chickling running down either the left or right hallway. The respective door must be closed to keep them out, otherwise they'll come in and attack, ending the hour early.

Chickling also appears as the protagonist of the between-hour cutscenes/minigames. In the first, Mother tells them that they can go to Bondee's Barnyard for their birthday. In the second, Grise the Pig greets them and asks them to help choosing what to build his house with, with the options being straw, twigs and bricks. In the third, Fourly asks them to help her count sheep, with the two options being 1 and 21. in the fourth, Bondee gives Chickling a birthday cake and tells them to blow out the candles. When they do however, the fire is blown onto Bondee who screams in pain as Chickling looks on in horror. In the final intermission, Kou greets a traumatized Chickling before quickly noticing that something's wrong and promising to protect them. These scenes are of course retellings of how the child you play as ended up in their situation.

Trivia[]

There is a glitch in the game in which Chickling would repeatedly try to attack over and over regardless of if the door was open or not while preventing any other animatronics from showing up.
They're the only robot in the game to not have any arms.
Their mechanic is very similar to and most likely inspired by Foxy the Pirate's mechanic in the first Five Night at Freddy's. The main two differences being that Chickling can go down both hallways instead of just the left, and they attack at random while Foxy attacks if Pirate's Cove isn't checked on frequently enough.
The top half of their head is just Kou's head painted yellow.
