Chief is a hound dog and the quaternary antagonist of The Enchanted Forest series. He serves as Amos Slade's pet dog and Copper's adopted father.
History[]
Chief only appears in the short film series. In the story - Chief is a nasty old hound dog who hates foxes. He also lives on a farm near The Meadow Land. Sometime later - Chief chases Bambi's Mother and tries to catch her. But then - The Great Stag and Robin Hood the Fox came to her rescue. Back at the farm - Chief adopted the hound pup Copper as his son. Although Foulfellow and Gideon plotted to conquer The Enchanted Forest - Chief once encounters Rita the Fox and Hugo the Jungle Animal. In a brief battle - Chief tries to hunt down The Great Stag. But then with help from Twilight Sparkle - the deer fought off the hound dog.
As the seasons passed - Chief tries a few times to hunt down Tod the Fox. But one night when he chased him to a railroad track - Chief accidentally fell into a ravine and is killed. After Tod survived - he fled into the forest.

*Chief is mentioned twice by Tod in a short film called The Rise of The Deer.
*Chief is one of a few characters in the series to be a threat to both Bambi's family and Tod's family.
*Although Amos Slade reformed - Chief and The Raccoons are far more dangerous than the hunter.
*In the short film The Pilot - Chief is once mentioned by Tod.
