You know dad, I've been meaning to talk to you about that, maybe we're being too hasty here. This could be a opportunity, Gotham loves him, sure he may be a little rough around the edges, but if you can train a dog maybe you can train a bird. And with him in our pocket, as mayor...
~ Chip Shreck telling his father Max about a way to control the Penguin and gain more power
You think you're so tough, what with your big suit and your fancy armour, well I don't even have the shirt on my back. Why is that? Afraid to fight me like a man? Afraid that I'll find out deep down underneath all that you're just a scared little loser?
~ Chip Shreck trying to intimidate Batman
I saved you, I saved her and you said whatever I want you'd grant it, well now the Doctor gets his due. The only thing in the world more important than money, power.
~ Chip Shreck to Mr. Freeze before taking the serum.
A Blight on you and your family!
~ Chip Shreck in his fiery skeletal form to Bruce Wayne, taking on the name Blight
With the Infrastructure I've gathered, I'll build a new Gotham, even grander than my father could have imagined. Power plants, desalination systems, disaster relief, affordable housing, STORES! All fast tracked, making me Gotham humanitarian of the century, Hell, maybe I'll even run for mayor. Heh, president?
~ Chip Shreck revealing his full plan
You can never be bought. You can never be bribed. And you never give up. You're everything I hate!
~ Chip Shreck, in his Blight form, attacking Batman, unleashing his anger on him.

Charles "Chip" Shreck, later known as Blight is a major Antagonist in Channel Awesome Fanscription videos on the the Burton/Schumacher Batman film quadrilogy. He appears as a minor antagonist in What if Harvey Dent was in Batman Returns? and the main antagonist in What if Tim Burton Directed Batman and Robin?.

He was voiced by Rob Walker and images of Andrew Bryniarski are used to represent him.

Background[]

Charles Shreck, better known as "Chip" (as in both short for Charles, but also "chip off the old block"), was born into immense wealth and privilege, thanks to his father, multi-millionaire industrialist and the heir to the Cobblepot Family, Max Shreck. In fact, Max's plan to develop an apparent power-plant with the underlying intention of stockpiling Gotham City's power was undertaken with the purpose of endowing Chip with a legacy to carry on for his father. However, it was also apparent that Chip's mother was dead by this point.

What if Harvey Dent was in Batman Returns?[]

His role is mostly the same as in the original film. Chip was with Max and Mayor Roscoe Jenkins for the former's speech to the crowd that was assembled for the Lighting of the Tree ceremony. Chip Shreck also came to his father's aid during the Red Triangle Circus Gang's attack on Gotham Plaza, by stepping between Max and the heavily armed Organ Grinder, and thus allowed Max to make his escape. It was assumed that the Red Triangle Gang did not hurt Chip, as it was later revealed that they merely tried to capture Max, not kill him, and when Chip was next seen, he did not appear to have a scratch on him.

Later when Max introduces Penguin to the public and helps him find his parents Chip is present with his father and the public accompanying the Penguin at a cemetery to pay respects to his parents. Chip asks why there, Max saying Penguin said they were like family to him, to Chip's dismay. Chip tries to warn his father that Penguin is blackmailing them, but Max reassures him that Gotham will forget about the Penguin soon and after that "make sure he stays forgotten.". When the Penguin lays roses on the graves of Tucker and Esther Cobblepot Max and Chip are horrified to learn that the Penguin is their brother and uncle respectively, Max saying he had his surname legally changed to his mother's maiden name to have a name that sounded more authoritarian. The Penguin then reveals his real name is Oswald and that he forgives his parents. Chip was later present when Selina Kyle interrupted Max's conference with Bruce Wayne that regarded Max's proposed Power Plant. It was also suggested that Chip was privy to the fact that his father tried to kill Selina, as Max stated that if she caused any more trouble for him he would simply "push her out of a higher window," in his company once Selina and Bruce left his conference room. Chip then suggests to Max that they can get control of The Penguin, which would be useful to them with Penguin being in their pocket and getting him to run for Mayor. Chip was in attendance with Max at the latter's Maxquerade Ball and was dressed appropriately with a crown. Upon gate-crashing Max's Party, The Penguin, who had been betrayed by Max, attempted to kidnap Chip, who after all was "Gotham's favorite" first-born son, with the intention of drowning him, along with the city's other first-born sons, in raw sewage. However, Max, in a rare selfless moment, convinced Penguin to substitute himself for Chip, and was therefore taken instead, although not before Penguin left by prodding "the little prince" in the gut with his umbrella.

What if Tim Burton Directed Batman Forever?[]

While Chip doesn't appear in the video, after The Riddler kills Ferris Boyle he crosses off his name on a list of rich people he plan to investigate to see if they are Batman. Chip's name is on that list with "Really unlikely" written in red next to it, suggesting the public has a low opinion of Chip. The Riddler's murder of Ferris are directly responsible for the events to follow, if he had chosen any of the other names on his list, Chip being on there especially, nearly none of what would come next would have happened.

What if Tim Burton Directed Batman and Robin part 1: Cold Winds Wake[]

Years later after the CEO of Gothcorp, Ferris Boyle, was murdered by The Riddler Chip negotiates his way in as the new CEO. One of the things Ferris left behind was a ledger of Thomas Wayne, through reading it Chip discovers the existence of a scientist who worked for Wayne Tech, Victor Fries , who Thomas Wayne had shut down the research of his gravely ill wife Nora, as well as attacking him when Victor broke into a Wayne Tech lab to continue his research.

Through his ledger Chip discovers the location of Victor's own lab, sending a "expedition" of goons there. At the same time Chip is throwing a party, but the business elite attending mock Chip behind his back. Bruce Wayne attends the party, Chip giving a friendly greeting to Bruce. Chip reminds Bruce of his offer to buy out Wayne Tech, to which Bruce declines and goes to leave, much to the amusement of the guests.

But as Bruce tries to leave Chip's secretary, Inka , purposely spills Champaign onto him. Chip comes over, grabs Bruce and dabs the stain with his own handkerchief, taking Bruce to his office to "clean up". In Chip's office Bruce notices many extravagant items, stone where wood would be, the floor has a striped pattern, there are art deco ornamentations and rich treasures on display. Most prominently is a portrait of Chip's late father Max above the mantle, replacing the portrait of the late Ferris Boyle which is lying next to the fireplace.

As Chip pours them a drink Bruce sneaks a tracking device into Chip's briefcase, and the two continue speaking about Chip's offer, which Chip mentions was "a thousand times beyond generous.". Bruce then puts his glass on a bust of Chip's head, going onto to call Chip out for not having a generous bone his body, saying Max would have had it removed, angering him. Bruce continues to lay into Chip, saying he's mad that Bruce stopped Max's powerplant idea ultimately leaving him with nothing.

Chip retorts this, saying what his father and Bruce gave him was self reliance, which led him to be where he is now. Chip then hands over Thomas Wayne's ledger to Bruce, calling a souvenir from Ferris as well as just the tip of the iceberg, leading to Bruce to look suspiciously at him, to which Chip reassures him Ferris had plenty on Max as well, Bruce remarking that it must have been a big book. Bruce asks "What's you're angle Chip?", who only responds by saying he goes by his birth name, Charles, now. Bruce ignores this and focuses on the blackmail attempt, asking what Chip wants, who says "just a little something more than goodbye.", so Bruce goes over and says "sayonara, Chuck." then leaving.

Chip stares from his window at Bruce leaving in his Rolls Royce, then changing his glance at the portrait of his father, but is unable to look at him in the eyes. Inka enters the office to say that Chip is ignoring his quests, Chip dismisses them, saying they are just there to bask in his humiliation. Inka says that isn't all, she says he has a call from the expedition, Chip immediately goes over to speak to them through the phone. Instead of getting good news, the last surviving goon says that the others are all dead. The goon goes onto chew Chip out, saying he didn't tell them what they were getting themselves into. The goon starts mumbling about the horrific nature of the awakened Victor Fries, who comes over and kills him, Chip hearing the death of the goon and a truck peeling out. After the call Chip tells Inka to cancel the cheques of the expedition team and leans back in his chair, remarking to himself "Time for plan B.".

Much later on, on a small highway, a long convoy of trucks stand idle, backing up into a small bridge, these being Wayne Tech workers. Chip's goons arrive and start the attack by hitting the lead car with a bazooka. They then come in a unmarked semi truck, blocking any escape routes, they then step out with Tommy Guns and fire upon the workers. Two of the goons move up the bridge and in-between the body riddled convoy, after checking each truck container they find what they were sent to collect, one goon signaling to a large black transport helicopter. The goons attach the container to the helicopter, allowing it take off.

Later on Chip is swimming in his pool where Batman comes to question him. Batman brings up the attack on the Wayne Tech convoy, saying he spoke with Bruce Wayne who said only Chip Shreck would be ruthless enough to order the hit. Chip is impressed to hear this, saying he at least has either Bruce's fear or respect. Batman accuses Chip of not knowing what fear is, to which Chip lambasts him for thinking he does, Batman then lunges for Chip, taking him out of the pool and blind folding him to start an interrogation.

Batman takes Chip into a vent and removes the blindfold, Chip seeing his surroundings, as well as that he is being held by the throat and dangled over a large open vent. Chip tries to look down the vent, but Batman pulls him in closer, saying he is being held above a garbage shoot, then demanding Chip starts talking. Chip does, but instead of giving information he calls Batman out for not fighting him like a man, accusing the Dark Knight of being scared. Batman gives him a last chance, Chip responds by saying Batman has nothing on him, even telling Batman to drop him, but asking if that would be justice or murder. Batman hesitates much to Chip's pleasure, who starts to call him a "pathetic little loser", but before he can finish Batman drops him into his own pool. Furious Chip calls for security, the alarm even goes off. Batman later happily watches, through a pair of electronic binoculars, Chip in a bathrobe, barking out orders to his security guards, where he is interrupted by the vigilante Catwoman and engages in a fight with her.

What if Tim Burton Directed Batman and Robin part 2: Fire and Ice[]

Chip attends Bruce Wayne's Charity Gala, brooding alone until he is approached by Bruce. After Chip greets Bruce he mentions he knows Bruce told Batman his belief that Chip ordered the attack on the Wayne Tech convoy, he goes on to tell Bruce that he wants to swing mud to do it to his face, Bruce says that while it is tempting his father told him never to wrestle with a pig as pigs enjoy when their opponents get dirty. They both sarcastically mention it's a shame their respective fathers aren't here to see the event, Chip angrily gulping down his champaign as Bruce walks off. Later when Bruce confronts the real identity of Catwoman, Selina Kyle, she asks about why Chip is at this event. Bruce's response is the old saying "Keep your enemies close", Selina retorts by saying she intends to kill Chip because of his knowledge of his father Max throwing her out of a window, doing nothing about it, ordering the deaths of Bruce's employees, she ends her rant by calling him a psychopath like his father. Bruce tries to say that while he knows this, it can't be proven, Selina disagrees, saying they don't need proof, saying she will take the chance Bruce didn't take. Bruce tries to reason with her, saying people can't kill another in cold blood, she rhetorically asks "Why not?" as it's what Chip would do, Bruce saying that's his point. Soon after Victor "Mr Freeze" Fries crashes the event with his newly acquired goons, the butcher gang. Dick Grayson, Bruce's adopted son, tries to leave to emerge as his alter ego Robin, but is stopped by Chip who shoulder checks him back into the crowd, Dick glaring at Chip as makes his way into the centre of the room. During Bruce's conversation with Victor the latter pulls out his snow globe of the dancing woman, extending it towards Bruce and now speaking in a softer tone. He asks for Bruce's help to revive his wife Nora, who will be in a cryotube somewhere in the Wayne Tech building, but Bruce says there's nothing left in that lab and that everything from that area was purged. Victor doesn't believe him, but Chip Shreck cuts in saying that it's true, after Bruce glares at him Chip shrugs, saying it's public record by now, going onto say she was taken out with the trash. Victor's face is stricken with horror, calling Bruce a murderer, Bruce tries to defend himself, saying he and his company didn't know, but Victor doesn't care. He decides to take revenge by freezing Bruce's butler Alfred, but Dick jumps in front, the ice beam however is powerful enough to freeze both. After Catwoman and the Police intervine Victor and his goons manage to escape, Bruce goes over to where Dick and Alfred were frozen, only to be confronted by Chip who smiles smugly, sarcastically saying "Humanitarian of the year" only for Bruce to shove him aside.

Later Chip tracks Victor to his hideout and walks in clapping, begining to speak to Victor who recognises him as "that worm from the charity event." Chip reveals he is the one responsible for Victor being released from his cryotube, saying he did it so he can make him a offer, telling Victor he come with him as he has something to show him. Victor asks what happens if he refuses, in response Chip snaps his fingers, giving the signal to his men to gun down the butcher gang, their screams and the sounds of the gunfire echoing throughout the room. Much later, after Alfred and Dick are unfrozen, Bruce talks with Alfred, saying he knows Chip is involved as he hands over the ledger of Thomas Wayne, showing there are missing pages and that Chip is covering his tracks, Bruce goes onto say the tracking device inside Chip's briefcase shows it hasn't been moved yet.

Meanwhile Chip, Victor and swarming goons are moving down a storage facility, Chip telling Victor that while both Thomas and Bruce wanted to remove their dirty laundry he's here to help, stopping at a secure door. Chip opens the door showing the room contains Nora in her cryotube, leading to Victor's eyes opening wide and his mouth dropping in shock. He drops his snow globe, the item shattering on the floor, he slowly approaches Nora, but Chip interrupts the moment saying he wants to make a deal, to which Victor says he will grant Chip whatever he wants. Chip and Victor then go to the Gotham City Dam, there the goons neatly lay out lab equipment on workstations, a handful of men are hauling Nora's tube to put it in place.

The next day Chip is in his office with his secretary Inka, speaking to her in a hushed secretive voice, saying he wants "total radio silence from here on out.". Inka only asks if she should wind the clocks back 10 minuites as it's near the end of the work day, Chip tells her to wind it down to 5 minuites, as he says he's in a good mood, she smiles and hands over his briefcase. As Chip leads the building he passes by Selina Kyle who watches him intently. As Selina goes in to take pictures of what Chip is planning, he goes into his limo which sets off.

The briefcase now on the move Bruce listens in through a set of headphones, watching how on the Bat Computer a moving red dot blips on and off over a map of Gotham. Chip's voice cuts through the headphones, he tells his driver to take the express way, Bruce then gets dressed and sets off in the Batmobile. Inside Chip's car his goons check their weapons, Chip asks if they're nervous, the driver says he's not sure if Chip's plan is gonna work, Chip says it will work, saying Victor doesn't suspect he knows what his miracle cure is capable of, Batman listening in on the entire conversation.

Batman watches on his computer screen as the red dot stops moving on a secluded side road, and pulls over the Batmobile at a abandoned rest stop. He uses a signal tracer, where he goes into the woods and finds Chip's briefcase, opening it to reveal a note card that reads "With love Surprise!". Batman is suddenly attacked by goons, their leader comes out to confront him. The goon opens his suit coat, revealing a stash of grenades clipped to his jacket, after exchanging smiles the leader throws the grenade but Batman kicks it back where it explodes and kills the goons, setting the nearby trees on fire as well. Batman asks the leader where Chip is heading, with a last breath he simply says "immortality.".

Meanwhile at the dam Chip returns to Victor, who is holding a glowing container saying it's finished, going on to say soon he and Nora will be reunited. Chip says in response "Yeah, about that...", sensing a betrayal Victor slowly reaches for one of his gloves, but two goons put their guns in the palms of his hands, grabbing him by the arms. Chip says he wants to put the serum into himself, but Victor warns him the results would be unpleasant and he has no idea what he's tampering with, Chip retorts that he does, holding up the missing pages of Thomas Wayne's ledger.

Chip pours the serum into a syringe and injects it into himself, after a moment of nothing happening Chip starts to convulse, lurch over and grab his stomach, screaming in agony all the while. His blood vessels begin to glow, his skin becomes iridescent, beneath his flesh the outline of a skeleton forms and finally he collapses, smoke emitting from his body. Chip's goons hover over him concerned, asking if he's alright, Chip then gets up, speaking in a deeper raspier tone and revealing his new image. His skeleton is visible through his translucent green skin, a ethereal green fire flickers from his flesh, Chip examines his hands, marvelling from the bones beneath and laughs to himself. Chip eyes Victor, still held at gun point, Chip tells the goons to release him in order to discuss a potential future.

Soon after a goon applies skin toned makeup to Chip to try and conceal the skeletal image beneath, as this being done Victor tells Chip that the serum wasn't meant for ordinary man, Chip retorts by saying he and Victor aren't ordinary men, instead they are great men, going on to say the only greatness for man is immortality. Victor brings up that Chip promised to help revive Nora, Chip replies that first they to deal with the thorn in their sides; Bruce Wayne.

After Bruce, Dick, Alfred, Lucius Fox and reporter Alexander Knox watch a film reel showing the breakup between Victor and Thomas, which was found by Knox, Chip, Victor and their goons attack Wayne Manor, shooting out the windows. Bruce takes them to the back door, but Victor has already frozen it, bazookas are now being fired at the house, making the attack worse. Bruce orders Alfred to take Lucius and Knox to Thomas' bomb shelter, meanwhile Bruce and Dick divert the attention of the shooters, taking a moment to take their breath until the front door explodes, sending them both to the floor.

Chip, Victor and their goons walk through, Bruce however squints at Chip's plastered and cracked skin which has glows of green escaping. Bruce confusingly says "Chip?" who then grabs him by the tie and shouts "I told you never to call me that!", his face then melting to reveal the flaming skull underneath, his gloves incinerating next exposing his skeletal hand which sets Bruce's tie on fire. Chip tells Bruce that he's a Blight on the entire Wayne family, Bruce tries to reason with Victor, but Blight interrupts, saying Thomas will see him soon. Blight then orders Victor and the goons to set the place on fire and seal Bruce and Dick in.

The goons throw fiery Molotov cocktails at the Manor begining to set it on fire, Victor begins to leave but Bruce shouts over, saying that Thomas tried to help him and he could have helped him as well. Victor dismisses this, saying faithful friends are hard to find, he then exits the Manor and begins encasing the front door, walls and windows in ice. Bruce, Dick and Alfred all manage to escape to the Batcave just as Wayne Manor collapses.

What if Tim Burton Directed Batman and Robin Part 3: Winter's End[]

At the Gotham Dam Tower Chip's goons are putting a large round device into a crate as he gives orders to them, as this is being done he is applying concealing makeup to himself. Victor asks what it is, Chip simply replying that it is the future, Victor then grabs Chip and shoves him against the wall demanding to know about his and Nora's future. Chip decides to warn Victor, glowing and reminding Victor of how he is a wanted man and can give him a way out, Victor physically agreeing.

A goon then shouts to Chip, warning about the police coming towards them, Chip figuring out Batman must have brought them along, he tells his men to get ready to attack, saying they'll be having a "snow day". A fleet of police boats drive towards the dam, Victor fires his Ice Rifle onto the lake freezing it in total, causing police to fall onto the ice after trying to go forward on foot. The goons come towards, wearing cleated boots and fire upon the cops. Batman, Robin and their new partner Batgirl approach in their respective vehicles which transform, Batman's Batskiboat bringing out giant skiing blades and Robin's cycle turning into a snowmobile, making it easier for them to get across the ice, going towards the goons and being cheered on by the cops.

They manage to subdue the goons, angering Chip who gets a ballista style gun, wildly shooting landmines, however the terrific trio manage to evade them. Chip turns to Victor, demanding help, Victor then fires his rifle at the lake, causing giant icy shards to emerge like spikes, the but the trio still manage to evade. Chip having enough fires a bazooka at the lake, causing a massive hole in the ice which the Batskiboat falls into.

Chip laughs at this believing Batman has been dealt with, however a series of missiles burst out of the ice and explode, the Batskiboat lunging out of the ice, falling back to the ground before scraping to a stop to Chip's feet as he defiantly watches. Batman gets out, glares at Chip who runs into the towers with his goons, the Dark Knight chasing after. Chip tells his men to lock the door and to go on, Victor wants to bring Nora along, but Chip reassures him they'll get her later, forcibly taking him along into a elevator. While trying to make room a Ice grenade falls from Victor, he tries to grab it but Chip pulls him back. The trio manage to break in and using the grenade, as well as a diagram of the dam, go down a shaft to catch up to Chip and Victor.

In a room sporting electrical generators, pipes wire tubing and catwalks, in the center of the floor is a large cut hole with a small computer terminal next to it. As the trio explores Chip makes his presence known, Victor standing beside, Chip fires a revolver at them, to which Batman throws a Batarang, knocking it out of Chip's hand and sending it to the floor. Chip snaps his finger, signalling his goons to come in and surround the trio, he begins to explain his plan. He points out a bomb in the room which is positioned above a hole, goons then pour gallons of destabilizing toxic sludge into the hole. Chip says it's being mixed with Victor's plutonium in order to create a massive earthquake.

He goes on to say it will destroy the dam and wash away Gotham's elite, pointing out they treat him like a pariah and this plan in turn will destroy Gotham city. Chip says he is going to build a new Gotham, boasting it will be greater than anything his father Max could have imagined, listing out the things he will build, things like power plants, affordable housing and stores. He says this will make him Gotham's humanitarian of the century, he finishes by saying he could run for mayor or even president. Victor finally realizes the horror of what will be caused, trying to reason with Chip, Batman shouts to Victor reminding him of what Nora would want.

Victor confronts Chip but he reveals to forged a confession to the cops titled "A condemnation of Gotham and all it's sins by Dr Victor Fries.". Victor threatens to kill Chip, but the latter finally activates the bomb, the timer counting down. Chip tells him he should back off so he has a chance to get himself and Nora away, pointing out his goons wheeling Nora in her cryo-chamber into the room. Glaring at Chip, Victor declares he could never look Nora in the eyes again if he lets this scheme go through, trying to shoot Chip but he throws the rifle away and getting Victor in a headlock taunting him by showing off a glowing orange syringe, saying it will turn him back to normal. Before Chip applies it Catwoman whips his face, cutting through the make up and leaving a large green gash. The syringe is dropped soon after, Batman retrieving it and a battle occurs.

Chip tries to punch Catwoman, but she holds up a stick of dynamite and a lighter, after thinking it through Chip breath green fire onto her as well as lighting the dynamite which falls into the generator and explodes, sending everyone flying. Victor catches sight of Chip and pursues him into the maze of machinery. Far into the pursuit a goons stops Chip, asking what they should do, Chip then grabs the man and throws him towards Victor who freezes him before moving on. Chip starts climbing a stairway to the top, when up there he believes he has escaped but Victor is already there, Chip backed into a corner fires a green fire ball from his hand, hitting a pipe which unleashes a explosion of steam but Victor freezes the steam, smashes it and moves forward.

Victor demands the disable code, instead Chip lunges forward, throwing more fireballs, to which Victor sets his rifle to rapid fire mode, shooting pellet shots at the ceiling which creates deadly icicles, falling down onto Chip, who evades them and jump kicks Victor in the chest, knocking him of the ledge and grabbing on for dear life. Chip soon notices Batgirl in the distance, trying to disable the bomb, he picks up a icicle, preparing to through it like a javelin, but Catwoman throws a Chinese star at his hand, angered he throws the icicle at her but she jumps out of the way.

Victor tries to reach up with his other hand but Chip steps on it going on to taunt that he could awaken Nora and take her as his own wife. This enrages Victor who fires his rifle at Chip, who lunges back and taking his foot off Victor's hand causing him to fall down below, the ray hits a steel beam above Chip's head, it starting to crack and shatter Chip leaping of the way and goes to the exit as it tumbles below onto to Victor, burying him.

Outside, 50 stories up at the crest of the dam, Catwoman, without her mask walks across the center line of the dam, but a light at the end of the road blinds her, it is coming from a cement truck, being driven by Chip, amused to see Catwoman has been Selina Kyle this whole time. Chip tries to run her over but she moves out of the way and kicks her feet through the truck's back window, sliding in and wrapping her whip around Chip's neck, he steps on the gas causing the truck to ride around wildly. The truck crashes into a wall, hitting Batman and Robin into construction equipment, they watch as Chip slams on the breaks, causing Catwoman to fall out of the windshield.

She still grabs onto the truck, to which Chip steps on the gas towards the edge of the dam, at the last moment he hits the breaks leading to the truck dangling off the edge, he then goes into reverse causing Catwoman to fall off and latch onto the edge. Batman manages to grab Catwoman with her whip, preventing her from falling, he and Robin pull her up, the trio look around for Chip who shines the truck's headlights on them. His makeup is fully melting off by now he attempts to run the 3 over. Batman shoves Robin and Catwoman away and beckons Chip to speed over who gets excited, Batman then throws small back orbs which unleash small spikes that pop the tires.

As Chip tries to maintain control Batman activates his rocket boots and glider wings, going off into the sky and landing on the truck, covering the window with his cape which prevents Chip from seeing what's ahead. Chip tries to fire at Batman, but the truck goes out of his control, his gun flying out of his hand and into the street. Batman jumps off in the nick of time, Chip seeing he is heading towards a fuel tank, the crash creating a massive exploding fireball, the whole power plant rumbling from the impact. The trio approach the fire, just in time to see Chip, now fully exposed as in his Blight form, approaching.

He pulls out 100 dollar bills, which catch fire, he blows on them, creating a giant green fireball, Batman grabs Catwoman and Robin and puts them under his cape, Batman and Robin then activate buttons that have their capes glow cobalt blue  as the green fire envelopes them. The 3 soon get up, steaming but unharmed, angering Blight, Robin and Catwoman try to attack him, but Blight knocks them aside, wanting to kill Batman first, attacking the Dark Knight, unleashing his anger, Blight starts to get the upper hand and begins to take off Batman's mask, being bewildered that it's Bruce Wayne, convinced Bruce died in the fire of Wayne Manor. Batman, seeing a opportunity, tapping the side of his mask bringing down his sonar goggles, he grabs Blight, pulling him in close and speaks in the voice of Bruce Wayne, "Sorry to disappoint" before his sonar eyes explode with a bright flash that blinds Blight.

Now having a advantage Batman head butts Blight, causing him to stumble towards the edge of the dam, Batman, Robin and Catwoman stand in front of him, the latter grabbing Blight's discarded gun and points it at him. Blight taunts her, asking if she can really kill him with it, she firmly telling him he's still not bullet proof. Blight then turns to Batman, trying to reason with him, but Catwoman cuts in, reaffirming her mission to kill Blight. Batman goes over to her, saying they don't have to kill him and instead can turn him back to normal with glowing syringe where he can rot in prison. Catwoman retorts, saying Blight knows their identities, but Batman assures her no one will believe him, due to Selina Kyle officially being dead and Bruce Wayne believed to have been killed as well, Batman offers this as a way to live in anonymity together.

Catwoman states she can't let it happen, using a tranquilizer on her claw on Batman as well as on Robin when he comes to attack her. She turns her attention to Blight and starts shooting him, preparing to finish him off with a shot to the forehead, Blight even encouraging her to do so, Catwoman realizing she is loosing her humanity, lowers the gun, refusing to kill Blight. He then starts to stand, healing from the wounds but then Victor comes into the moment, declaring he'll kill Blight instead. He fires his rifle at Blight's legs, encasing them in ice, but Blight heats up, melting the ice, Victor keeps firing, but to no avail. Seeing how Blight's heat is increasing Victor sets his rifle to maximum power and fires again, fully encasing Blight in ice just as the diamond powering the rifle explodes, the rifle itself burst into fiery sparks, Victor dropping it and falls to his knees.

The frozen Blight falls off the edge and into the power plant, finally landing on the internal industrial tower which explodes, finally ending the odious Shreck family. The power plant then explodes as well, shutting down the lights. Following this event newspapers report on Chip Shreck's foiled plans referring to them as a terrorist plot, the final nail to the coffin to Chip's non existent positive reputation.

However given he survived the explosion caused by the fuel truck it's possible Blight survived the power plant explosion.
