Christine "Chris" Hargensen is the main antagonist of the Wattpad fanfiction A fresh life, which itself is based off of the 2013 film Carrie.
Having been falsely declared dead, Chris teams up with Margaret White to get revenge on Carrie for getting her banned from going to the Prom. She is the ex-girlfriend of Billy Nolan and the arch-enemy of Carrie White.
Even before the events of the film, Chris was known to be abusive with her sister Aidrianna Hargensen, and one other time, she caused 5 of her teeth to come out. This caused Aidrianna to have social anxieties, which is why she wasn't present when Carrie was having her first period. After the events of the film, Chris was revived, met and teamed up with Margaret White, then broke up with Billy Nolan, who went on to help John Hargensen from within to inform him about Chris's plans.
A fresh life[]
Plotting revenge on Carrie[]
6 months had passed by, and Chris had gained weight from eating fast food and pizza that she had ordered. After Billy arrived, Chris placed her login info into his left pant pocket, then she called Margaret White, and orders her to locate Carrie and bring her back to the house. Chris had her car keys she grabbed earlier and left them right by her.
The hunt begins[]
Meanwhile, at Chris's house as she was playing Where Evil Grows by The Poppy Family, she gets a phone call from Margaret White, then orders her to follow them. After that, Chris grabs her car keys, then drives off in her car. After that, she put a CD in the car radio, and it played Dancin Across The USA by Lindsey Buckingham as she drove down the road. After stopping at a traffic light, a Papa John's pizza box came hitting Chris in the back of her head. She threw it to the front seat, then drove off after the light turned green. Chris then pulled up to Maxon Shooter's Supplies & Indoor Range. She saw an SRM Arms Model 1216 rifle, then placed it next to the cashier. Chris pulled out her debit card, and after she swiped it, she whipped out her M16 rifle, and shot the cashier dead. She then stole all the money in the cash register, and drove off.
Finding Carrie at a hotel[]
Chris and Margaret are able to locate Carrie at a Holiday Inn Express hotel. She found a guest walking down the hallway, holding a newspaper about The Black Prom massacre, and after pulling out her SRM Arms Model 1216 rifle, shot the guest dead. When they got to an elevator, Chris pushed the up elevator button. After only 5 seconds, she pressed it rapidly in an impatient manner. When the elevator finally arrived, both Chris and Margaret got into it. As soon as they got on the top floor, they arrived at the hotel room, and the door came off the hinges, and there, in the entryway, stood Chris and Margaret, much to Carrie's shock. Chris explains how she and Margaret are still alive, then after nodding in agreement to what Carrie had said, Chris pulled out a taser that she had kept, then attempted to tase Carrie, but with the use of her telekinesis, it exploded. Margaret walks up to the window, upset that Carrie escaped, and after asking Chris what should be done, she pulled out her Kel-Tec P-11 from an ankle holster she kept on her left ankle, then threatened to kill Margaret if she did not go along with the plan. They left the hotel in Chris's car, and ended up refueling, and Chris paid for the gas with her mother's credit card she stole.
Luring Carrie into a trap[]
At the trailer in the scrapyard Margaret White had been living in, the villainous duo found Carrie, and tried to kidnap her, but failed. This made Chris realize that she and Margaret would use Aidrianna to lure Carrie over to her house. They took her with them, resulting in Carrie and most of her allies to follow them to her house.
Final battle and defeat[]
As Carrie, John, Billy, and Miss Desjardin walked through the house, they talked about Chris breaking up with Billy. John, worried for his younger daughter, also admits that he enabled his older daughter's misdeeds, but is cut off mid-sentence by a kitchen knife blade going through his chest, causing him to scream in agony, instantly killing John. Chris stepped out of the shadows, holding the knife that has the blade stained with her father's blood. Margaret White also stepped out of the shadows, and was ordered by Chris to deal with Billy as Carrie, who secretly got Chris's login info, all the way to the basement as Miss Desjardin confronts Chris. After Desjardin was knocked out, Chris noticed that her sister was freed by Carrie, who was about to expose her activities to the local police. After Carrie put the document of Chris's crimes in a PDF file, she is tackled, resulting in her and Chris having their own battle. After Aidrianna kicked Chris in the kneecaps, she decided to distract her sister while Carrie sends the PDF document of Chris's crimes to the police in a Gmail. Just as the Send button is clicked on, Chris shoots Carrie in her right shoulder using her SIG Sauer P250 pistol she kept in case someone tried to expose her. Descending into megalomania, Chris believes she won, and believes she can, and will, continue her misdeeds and get away with it. However, Carrie reminded Chris that all her activities are released to the cops, and that she lost. Police helicopters shine spotlights over the house. After the cops get into the basement, they take down Chris, and lead her out of the house in handcuffs. While in the police car, Chris vows revenge on Carrie for what had transpired, only for one of the cops to tell her to shut up as he drives off with Chris in the backseat.
The trial lasted for 1 month, while Chris was convicted and given a life in sentence with no chance at parole.
