~ Chuck’s final words as he attempts to coerce the newly akumatized Zachary and his friend group into the remnants of his totalitarian regime to no avail. Shortly afterwards, he is kicked into Kingpin’s Super Collider and is slowly reduced to nothing but a quantum smear as he tried to do with Louie Duck |
Chuck Chambers is a guest character in Massive Movie Mondays, a recurring character in Summer Edition 2 to Summer Edition 6, a major antagonist in the Avenger saga and possibly the secondary antagonist of Summer Edition 7. He also serves as the corrupted leader of the first Myles Bots, one of Zachary’s personal former friends and the Myles Bots’ arch-nemesis. He later becomes the main antagonist of Avenger: Finale as well as the central antagonist of the final episodes of the Avenger saga. He is ultimately revealed as the overarching antagonist of the Grizzly Empire myth arc and became the main antagonist of the first half of Summer Edition 7: June Arc.
History[]
He initially was a friend of Zachary’s and even became the leader of the Myles Bots. Not long after Zachary’s turn to evil, Chuck became the new CEO of Brown Bear Incorporated due to Mrs. Courageous being unable to perform secretary duties when Zachary is revealed to be on his own if he accepts a future scholarship. Though Zachary is starting to take things in stride, Chuck misinterprets anything against Zachary as a sign of disdain and disgust and falls under the thrall of Steve Hitler (the main antagonist of the series).
Things go from bad to worse when in spite of Henry Hart escaping the deception of Steve Hitler and being recruited by the Vagabond Revengers, a lecture and apparent moment of impatience confirms previous accusations of Emma being a FOWL agent (when in reality Zachary’s perfectionism ended up being revealed as the source of his face-heel turn while the accusations weren’t even invoked by Emma and occurred due to a voicemail incident with a student named Logan Reese getting him sent to Anger Management classes for 10 weeks).
Worse, Chuck is subsequently possessed by Steve in light of Ratcatcher’s first speaking lines. He then starts to mistakenly think Zachary is not really a relative of Cruella De Vil but IS her using the team to eliminate the Hero League. With the Myles Bots’ heroic credibility shifting towards the Revengers and having earned the entire town’s scorn, he betrays Paprika (Steve’s former apprentice) and Dusty (a robot made in England) among several others including Fred’s father and destroys everything about his “false” friendship thus signifying the end of Zachary and Chuck’s friendship. A manipulated Chuck then helps Steve hold real life actor Evan Peters hostage and the two work together as the actor is held hostage. As Evan was akumatized into Woodstock with aid from the bird’s body after he was murdered by the Great Pumpkin, he joins forces with Steve and orders a hit by the Other Side against every marked character on a secondary list alongside the Vagabond Revengers.
As he had fully succumbed to Steve’s darkness inducing lies, he assumes a more humanoid form that looks exactly like Ruler Simon Laurent’s as he evilly chuckles cementing himself as one of the villains independent of Steve without his tricks worsening things. As his sanity erodes, Officer Dangus and Lily Loud realize the vengeful yellow bird’s true nature and that he is delusional in the fact that he thinks “Cruella” (really Zachary) is his true love thus wanting power and riches over doing what’s right.
The two then proceed to expose Chuck’s true colors to Zachary with Lily exonerating the young man. However, the evil avian proceeds to destroy Louie Duck’s inheritance which gets Static and Lola Bunny expelled from the Summer Crew. He also founds a dictatorship with the company he now owns and rules it with an iron fist. Later on, he shoves Zachary out of a helicopter as the young man starts to realize he played a central role in Zachary’s turn to darkness. Ultimately, he reveals his true nature to Zachary and has him akumatized into the Duo-Franchise incarnation of Mr. Fox in order to begin his true endgame unhindered. He also bullies Fluttershy into madness and manipulates Ian Pierce and the Wall Dogs with aid from Chucky and Rick Twitler in order to expose Zachary’s curse to the world thus meaning people think he turned into a Shrek ogre rather than a fox.
He then recruits King Andrias as a bodyguard after he tries to kill Sprig Plantar by dropping him to his doom and Shark God due to the shark’s lies about the “Night” when it was really the Duo-Franchise incarnations of Baby Shark and William willing to atone for nearly scarring Zachary for life. However, it becomes short-lived and Zachary sacrifices his freedom to atone for ruining Wild Cat’s friendships while exposing Chuck’s true colors to most of the public in the process. His future self was also caught in big trouble when people thought he desecrated God but the future Zachary (aka Mr. Fox) retreated with survivors of the Myles Bots’ disbandment to Swellview. Darwin decides to sacrifice himself to save his loved ones from Chuck’s true nature and dies while Chuck lands in an ocean leading to Toyopolis.
He then reunites with Red making it appear like Darwin’s death was in vain. Unfortunately for the yellow bird, Red realizes Chuck manipulated him to achieve his reality conquest goals and slits and stabbed his body nearly damaging his vocal cords. Disillusioned at his best friend’s homicidal colors, Red drops him into an abyss to his death ending Chuck’s reign of tyranny for good. However, he survived due to the abyss turning out to be a river and killed Red. He then kills Bradford Buzzard by strangling him and takes ownership back from the late FOWL director.
Now the villain once more, he resumes manipulating Zachary Delightful to the dark side but the actions of Josh Nichols choke his efforts. He then comes close to succeeding in his evil plans to dissolve the Myles Bots while seemingly turning Zachary into his thrall. Unfortunately for him, Chloe Park and a handful of Zachary’s rivals pull out a selfless act by akumatizing Zachary into Windflower culminating in the final battle as prophesied. Chuck’s attempted last laugh makes things worse as Windflower finally redeems himself and shoots him in the heart critically wounding him as his former enemies witness this act of assertiveness. Chuck is then shot in the head AND heart enough times to kill him finally ending his tyrannical outbursts and avenging everyone he killed through his own thralls excluding Woodstock who was resurrected.
However, his legacy remains in his last two followers while he uses a page from Mayura’s playbook to create a variant version of himself to ensure his defeat isn’t in vain.
His final actions also outlaw friendship due to the prank war turning into a disastrous Genocide and also cause the Justice League to be dissolved. However, Bit managed to reconcile with her boyfriend and rejoins Zachary’s “scurvy crew”. The newly akumatized Officer Dangus (revealed to be J’onn J’onzz aka Martian Manhunter) and Gidget (formerly Chloe Hartman) join the crew afterwards prompting Zachary’s Crew to be formed. However, for the second time in a row, he survives and tries again to mold Windflower and his allies into his regime to no avail. He is finally killed by his arch-enemy when Windflower kicks him into Kingpin’s Super Collider reducing him to a quantum smear and ending his reign of terror once and for all.
Appearance[]
He resembles his prime counterpart prior to evil and Simon Laurent as a ruler after succumbing to Steve’s manipulations. He shifts back into his prime counterpart self after he reveals his true nature.
Personality[]
He initially presented himself as a zany yet suave king of parties. However, in the final episodes of the first half of Avenger: Finale, he reveals his true nature and becomes more evil, monstrous, insane, vengeful and tyrannical. He also becomes more manipulative than Joe and Steve combined as his turn to evil destroys not only the United States but also the very concept of friendship. He also indoctrinates the Collider People into believing his self-induced lies turning them into modern-era Nazi. This is later revealed to be his true nature: that of a homicidal and murderous monster who feeds on the prejudice of children, heroes and villains alike. His deceit is further increased causing more havoc, chaos and destruction than FOWL has ever done.
