The Church of the Sleeping Prince are an antagonistic faction in the Omniversal Warriors lore and are primarily made out of individuals who have survived abuse, neglect and other atrocities; the core members of the group are youths who have survived the infamous massacre of Sister White's sanctuary.
History[]
The Church of the Sleeping Prince was created from the aftermath of the massacre at Sister White's sanctuary and a desire by the Sleeping Prince to made a new world for himself and other survivors, despite the incredible tortures they endured many of the youths still held to varied spiritual beliefs and as such sought to find a new purpose, the Sleeping Prince would act as their savior figure and a natural leader.
Lilith Darkheart would quickly see how this growing cult could be used to her own advantage and thus she had her Dark Muses work to further manipulate the youths, helping to create the Church of the Sleeping Prince and encouraging them to act with violence against a world they had already struggled to fit in with.
Knowing that she wouldn't succeed in her plans without masking some of her true intents Lilith would continually try and play things "safe" in her manipulations, thus allowed the group to largely function as their own but would always keep check on things; the Dark Muses each had their own methods of dealing with the group, with Feralia (being a "patron of outcasts") often having more open interactions with them.
Aims[]
While each member has their own personal goals the over-all aim of the Church of the Sleeping Prince is to bring about a violent change in society across multiple worlds in order to create a system in which the Sleeping Prince can obtain his true power and liberate all victims and oppressed individuals while also exacting vengeance upon any who have caused pain or suffering.
While this aim is fundamentally good the methods the group utilizes are extreme and involve mass-terrorism that sees entire worlds turned into barren war-zones as members of the cult exact vigilante justice upon any they feel has wronged them or others.
The group have no tolerance for those who may oppose them and will fight to the death, once the Sleeping Prince has given an order the group will see it followed through without question.
In a continuing cycle of tragedy the group is in reality being used as pawns by Lilith Darkheart and her Dark Muses, who seek to weaponize the Church and have their acts of terrorism and violence weaken worlds so as to allow the demons easier access to the material realms, while members of the Church are aware of this they hope that when the Sleeping Prince does obtain his full power he can slay Lilith Darkheart (much as he had Sister White before her) and realize the group's true goals.
