Why, Hello there.
~ Circus Baby's greeting.
Hello, my name is Liz Schmidt, and I'm the head of innovation at Fazbear Entertainment.
~ Circus Baby in a Fazbear Entertainment training disc.

Elizabeth Afton (also known as Circus Baby) is one of the two secondary antagonists of The Nights (alongside Michael). She is William Afton's daughter and the sister of both Michael and Evan, as well as the former friend turned rival of The Puppet.

Roles[]

She appears as a minor character in the Intro arc, a mentioned antagonist in the Vengeance arc, and the main antagonist of the Afton Kids arc.

Personality[]

Circus Baby is very manipulative, like her original. She is also very ambitious and vengeful, as seen with her hatred for the Missing Kids. Furthermore, she is mischievous, as she enjoys poking fun at Michael and mentions how she used to pull pranks on the Funtimes.

Despite this, she is also a very insecure individual. This is due to being in isolation for years as an animatronic, and being deprived of human interaction. She also longs for friends, as seen with her attempt at befriending the Missing Kids and bursting into tears (more or less, due to being an animatronic, they were more like oil leaks) when they didn't return these feelings.

History[]

Origins[]

TBH

Intro[]

Circus Baby appeared when talking about Sister Location. She waves and tries to sing, but is cut off by Funtime Freddy asking where the body of a kid they killed goes, causing Circus Baby to panic and leave.

Vengeance[]

Michael mentions her while confronting William.

Afton Kids[]

After escaping the Sister Location (via. Michael), Circus Baby walks around before being found by Foxy and Chica, who take her in to warm up. She gets along with the Missing Kids before revealing that she was William's daughter, which causes them to grow tense. Puppet decides to use this opportunity to force William to reveal how to free them and encourages Circus Baby to help find Michael and William. Golden Freddy, however, begins to dislike her due to this and worries she could end up turning on them. For the next few days, Circus Baby tries to remember where Michael could've gone, but when she does remember the family house, she overhears Puppet and Golden Freddy admit that they were using her to attack her father, causing her to tear up at the fact that they weren't her friends.

The next day, Circus Baby gives them a false location, causing the Missing Kids to go in a different direction while Circus Baby heads to the house. She and her remaining family have a nice reunion before Circus Baby is told by William that the Kids killed him, further causing Circus Baby to dislike them.

Meanwhile, Golden Freddy, who had grown angry that Circus Baby tricked them, goes out for a walk, just before Circus Baby abducts them. She uses them and a VHS tape to lure the rest of the Missing Kids to a junkyard where she berates them for using her. This leads to a climax where she fights the Missing Kids, but winds up defeated. Puppet prepares to finish her, but Springtrap shows himself to talk them down. Springtrap then explains how he will leave them alone if they leave his family alone, before convincing them to a blood pact formed using a book Springtrap owned, forcing the kids to leave since the pact prevented them from attacking the Aftons. Springtrap then helps Circus Baby and explains how she and Michael can still kill the Kids, something she's okay with on the ride home.

She is last seen on a fake training tape she made where she proclaims herself as Fazbear Entertainment's Head of Innovation, much to Michael's annoyance.

Rock On[]

She (alongside Michael) create Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place to lure in and kill the Missing Kids. She fakes herself as scrap so that the Kids wouldn't be alarmed by her, however, things go south when Molten Freddy (Ennard after Funtime Freddy took over) arrives to kill as many people as possible. She hides in the vents and later torments Mike out of boredom. After Lefty (The Puppet) is trapped in the vents, Circus Baby knows who it is and proceeds to fight her. The fight is interrupted by Henry Emily, who sets the building ablaze to end their chaos. Circus Baby is killed by the fire alongside Michael.

Trivia[]

  • Circus Baby was originally meant to appear in the Flashback arc, but this was scrapped due to a lack of resources.
  • Her alias, Liz Schmidt, is a reference to the FNAF fanfic, Mike's New Ghostly Family, which was a inspiration for The Nights.
    • Unlike Liz, however, Circus Baby despises the Missing Kids and seeks to kill them. She is also notably more violent.
