Clara Afton is the final protagonist of Game Theory's "ULTIMATE" version of the Five Nights at Freddy's timeline, serving as a minor protagonist in Parts 1 and 2, an unseen character in Part 3 and the main protagonist of Part 4.

She is the ex-wife of William Afton and mother of the Crying Child, Michael and Elizabeth Afton. Despite not being around for most of the series, Clara ultimately takes center stage following the events of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator in an attempt to recreate the family she lost, proving herself to be as bad, if not worse, as her husband.

Biography[]

Part 1: The Ultimate Timeline[]

Clara is briefly mentioned when it's said William managed to start a family.

Part 2: The Rise of Afton[]

Clara makes a brief appearance when it's mentioned that, after the Crying Child's death, she was so heartbroken she could do nothing but watch TV all day. William's fall to madness left Clara all alone all the time until she finally had enough and divorced him. A few years later, he designed the Ballora animatronic after her.

Part 3: Burn Them All[]

Clara is indirectly mentioned at the very end, saying that William will be brought back by someone no one would ever expect.

Part 4: A Family Rebuilt[]

It's revealed that after Clara left the family, she began living a normal life, moving on from what happened to her and being nothing more than an obscure part of a murderer's life. However, after Fazbear Entertainment closed down, she gained all the copyrights and trademarks of the company due to being a shareholder and last living member of the Aftons. As she started reading through the papers and finding out what William has done, Clara decided to take matters into her own hands and to what her husband couldn't: reunite the family.

To begin this plan, she brought back Fazbear Entertainment as an LLC and started planning a way to collect Remnant after discovering it through what was given to her. She began asking other people for help and found DLZ Shipping Solutions so they could make hundreds of replicas of the past animatronic characters. She started a delivery service that would bring animatronics to one's house so they would be entertained during parties, thus making the Fazbear Funtime Service. However, to fix the company's reputation, she found a game developer called Steve that would make video games based on the tragedies at Freddy's, tricking people into glossing over all the horrible murders as just scary stories.

Afterwards, with the money and remnant she needed, she decided to make the Mega PizzaPlex: A gigantic, flashy mall, just so she could come closer to literally rebuilding her family. She began recreating them starting with the Crying Child by making a robot named Gregory that was completely identical to him, training him to be just like the real deal. Following this, she would go on to bring back William. She would build the PizzaPlex over the Pizza Place, where Afton's rotting corpse laid. While still alive, his body was completely destroyed with him being brain damaged. While repairing his body with various Glamrock endoskeletons (most likely Glamrock Bonnie), Clara found a chip that hold a small piece of Afton's consciousness, and hired a company to make a VR game that would hold his soul inside it, hoping he would find a way to possess someone and escape it.

Eventually, she found Vanessa. Both in terms of appearance and personality, she was very similar to Clara's daughter Elizabeth, and also submissive and weak enough to be manipulated, thus being a perfect way to have both Elizabeth and William back at once. Clara let William enter Vanessa's mind and, alongside Gregory, the three would manipulate her into following Afton's orders and being loyal before hiring her at the PizzaPlex as the security guard. Meanwhile, Clara also found out Michael has somehow returned and possessed the Glamrock Freddy animatronic, and finally succeeded in bringing her entire family back together.

However, things started going wrong. Henry's daughter Charlie somehow returned from the dead yet again and managed to possess the entire PizzaPlex itself, planning to find a way to defeat William again. Meanwhile, a gigantic blob of wires mysteriously came into existence, being haunted through the agony and hatred caused by Afton. At the same time, Gregory and Michael/Glamrock Freddy started rebelling against her, destroying the animatronics, freeing Vanessa and destroying Afton in the Pizza Place. An enraged Clara would plot her revenge.
