There, a dark angel named Clive offered her an escape, as he then made this girl his own little dark queen. However, he soon betrayed her for another dark queen, as he cursed her and sent her until this very moment to the human world.
~ Fortus for the first time ever explaining about Clive to Nicholas
Now I’m going to eat you!! Asshole!!!

And when I eat you, I will eat this whole universe and have it rebuilt forever!!! Huahahahaa!!!

~ Clive confronting Nicholas before they battle one another

Clive, also known in his human form as John Ivil, is the main antagonist of the 2019 fanfilm/presentation Nicholas. He is an all powerful dark being and a fallen angel who seeks to devour the entire universe and reshape it under his own image. In the human world, he cast a spell, thus turning himself, Nicholas (Nick) and Nicholas's mother Enyla (Laura) into a family and making himself the abusive father with another scheme coming up.

History[]

Past[]

Clive was a ruthless, megalomaniacal and heartless dark being, who was said to be the king and "god" of darkness, and once a fallen angel who sought to reshape the universe and have it under his control. He appeared in the tower of traitors, thus offering Enyla an escape from the tower as she would become his dark queen. However, Clive seemingly betrayed Enyla for her sister Jula, who became his next dark queen after Clive abused her and even raped her. Clive then cast a spell which would turn him into a human in the real human world, and would make himself, Nicholas and Enyla into one big family. He managed to do so, and he was transformed into a father called John Ivil. He wiped out the memories of both Nicholas, who turned into his son Nick Ivil, and Enyla, who became his wife and the mother under the name Laura Ivil.

In the human world[]

John Ivil then beat up his newborn "son" Nick for getting out of his room. However, his "wife" Laura wanted to talk to him about some important matters. Laura asked him to be a better father, and asked him if he only cares about himself. He told Laura that he has tried to be a better father for 10 years, but that he still remembers the legendary world of Dutopia where she fell in love with the honorable general of the lands, Fortus. Laura however did not remember so much about her past and told him that she still loves him. He however refused to listen to her, and he shot Laura. Nick however came and asked John not to kill his mother. Laura and Nick however find themselves back in the realm of Dutopia in the very next moment, as John stays behind and ends the spell so he could finish his plans and devour the world as he always wanted, thus starting with the realm of Dutopia. He then teleports himself to Dutopia and returns to being Clive, the king of darkness.

Final Battle[]

Nicholas then remembers his past as his love interest Fauna reminds him who he really is. Meanwhile, Queen Jula orders her dark minions to bring both Enyla and her husband/lover Fortus to her castle. Jula is at first represented to them as an antagonist, however, she reminded Enyla that they are sisters and she asked both Enyla and Fortus to protect her from "the god of darkness", as she also reminds Enyla that she was raped and abused by Clive. Clive then finds himself teleported to the castle of the lands. He kills many of the citizens of the lands and most of the kingdom's guards and militants. General Boggs noticed that Clive has returned. He then enters Duke Von Boom's throne room. He kills off The Duke's bodyguards, and almost eats The Duke himself, but Nicholas then enters the scene and knocks Clive out. After Duke Von Boom runs out of his castle, Clive battles Nicholas. During the battle, he sarcastically asks Nicholas why he is being abused again and again. Nicholas however replies that now that he is Nicholas and not his son anymore, he will no longer tolerate any abuse. Clive then devours Nicholas, seemingly ending the hero for good. However, Fauna comes to the rescue, as she then tells Clive that she came to save the world. Clive tries to devour her, but she is held tightly by Enyla, who also declares that she is here to save the world. Clive then tries to devour them both, but Fortus joins in, also here to save the world from the dark king. Then the queen of darkness Jula betrays Clive and declares that she is here to save the world. The four protagonists hold each other tightly and repeatedly declare that they are all here to save the world. Clive manages to devour all of them, however, they manage to use an inner voice to summon their hero Nicholas by declaring all together that they love him. Nicholas then uses his last two out of three wishes, as he first summons his friends which were devoured and killed by Clive, and he then uses one final wish to assure that Clive dissolves and never returns to life. Clive is erased for eternity and Fauna, Enyla, Fortus and Jula return and live happily ever after in the lands of Dutopia.

Personality[]

He is a being of Pure Evil, who cares about nothing else than himself and destroys other lives for no good reason at all. His clear intentions are to reshape the world after eating it whole and turn it into a dark, cruel and evil place which will remain under his control. He is also shown to be sadistic, as he enjoys abusing Nicholas in the human world and raping or using other woman such as Enyla and Queen Jula. He is a nihilistic, heartless and dark entity who is meant to not only end the current world, but also rebuild it into another universe completely. He is also very harsh and tough at times, especially as he formed into Nicholas' father (or Nick's father in the human world).

Trivia[]

  • He bears a strike resemblance to Zalgo from PastaMonsters and The Black Mage from Maplestory. The three of them are Complete Monsters who seek to reshape the world and eat the hero as well as destroying many innocents.
  • At first, The Duke and Queen Jula were seemingly going to be the main antagonists of the movie, as it was thought that Clive was a background villain and John Ivil (who was secretly him in his human form) was just a minor villain. However, since his full plans and ambitions were revealed, he became far more threatening than anyone else. Also, The Duke redeemed himself and Queen Jula wasn't an antagonist at all since she only wanted protection from Clive's sexual abuse.
