Clone VPN is the main antagonistic faction of season 1 of the Shorts Wars ARG. They make clones of various Youtube Shorts creators after they don't agree to stop making shorts and then use the clones to take their place.
History[]
Season 1[]
They are first seen after they hack some of the shorts to put a QR code in it that has a video in it with the boss saying to cease operations on the Shorts videos otherwise they would be "replaced". Almost every "Partnered" creator would release a video with their clone saying, "On average a person visits 130 webpages per day."
Later there was a commercial released that said that the VPN could stop rogue AI's to People trying to get your search history. They do say the people who buy this will have some changes but it ends to show all the creators they "partnered" with to do this.
After RoyalPear's Clone was added, it glitched out mid way through a video, making them have to switch it out with a prototype clone.
There was a video posted after that showed how they made the clones, RoyalPear's clone failed while two other users, Mogswamp and Knsplash, had a firewall; they were not cloned.
In the following videos, The clones replaced all of the YouTubers except for Danno. This occurred because Riggy clicked on the link; therefore, he was cloned instead. Clone Riggy kidnapped Riggy and brought them to CloneVPN's headquarters, Jonny RazeR was shot by Jonny Razer's Clone, though survived due to putting his Orb in his shirt, and RoyalPear was kidnapped by RoyalMelon before being also brought to the headquarters.
RoyalMelon was being forced to do stuff he didn't want to do, but the Clone VPN worker stated he would be killed off for a new one if he did not continue. Therefore, he was following orders, but with much hesitation.
The clones were eventually defeated.
Jonny RazeR defeated his clone simply by punching him into bones.
Bundun defeated his clone by beating him with a plush toy.
RoyalPear's clone was mind-controlled by the boss into fighting his original counterpart, he tried to break free from the control, but he couldn't, he was also set to detonate with a bomb inside of him, so he instead blew up the Clone VPN control room, RoyalPear created a separate channel for him in his honor.
Riggy defeated his clone by fighting him with his skateboard and spray cans, he eventually threw his clone into the void. His clone teleported away. Which is false, as Seen 'In Are Portals Possible?'. In that video, Clone Riggy is spotted. And, in 'Riggy Is being Cloned Again', he, at the very end, reviews to the viewers that he is alive.
Season 2[]
Season Two Officially started on December 2nd, 2023.
The Boss created both a Discord server and a YouTube Channel. Within both of these, he has the Recruits and his Lackeys work for him by completing tasks and achieving various goals.
On Recruitment Day, the Discord server's QR code is shown in all of the Creators' newest short, and thousands quickly flood in to either work for or against The Boss.
