Cobalt Blue is the overarching antagonist of the internet animated comedy series, The Daily Object Show.
He serves as the posthumous overarching antagonist of season 1, the titular main antagonist of Cult of Colbalt (which is the prequel to the series), a posthumous antagonist of seasons 3-5, a minor antagonist in Mafioso Mayhem, the secondary antagonist of both Beach Battle and Evil Never Dies and a supporting antagonist in All-Stars.
He also serves as the overarching antagonist of TDOS Mini, and a cameo character in Blood Night Hauntings.
Biography[]
Background[]
Cobalt blue was one of the original Super Objects, he was a mysterious object known for his power to control any living being with his cobalt fumes. After objects around that town started to go missing, the rest of the Super Objects found that Cobalt was behind it. It was revealed he was kidnapping other objects and making them do his evil bidding. After he was caught, he was exiled from the Super Objects. Out of anger, he led his followers to destroy town, until the Super Objects defeated him on top of Cobalt Mountain, shattering his body into pieces and scattering them around the world, leaving his spirit trapped in the mountain. Before the events of Cult of Cobalt, Card found one of the shards and wore it as a necklace, allowing him to use his fumes to brainwash Card.
Cult of Cobalt[]
Many years later, Computer and Skull embark on a journey to Cobalt Mountain to retrieve the Really Good Smelling Lotion. While on the bus, they meet Card, who tells them about the upcoming Night of Purity being held at the mountain, and that she encourages as many people as possible to visit. After arriving to the mountain and making it past some guards, the room starts to fill with Cobalt Fumes, and while Computer manages to escape, Skull falls into a pit and thus being trapped in the room. Meanwhile, Card arrives at an area and digs up the last shard of Cobalt Blue.
After making it through more of the Mountain, Computer finally meets up with Skull (Unaware that he is brainwashed). Skull wakes up inside the Mind Scape, an area where an object's spirit resides, only to see that Cobalt Blue has taken over his Mind Scape, as well as others. Cobalt reveals that he has connected everyone's Mind Scape to him, thus giving him control of their bodies. He reveals how Card found one of his pieces and was taken over by his fumes, thus accessing her Mind Scape. He had her gain more followers, growing his cult and making it easier to find all of his pieces. Once all his pieces are put together, he will return to his body and will take control of everyone attending the Night of Purity. Computer finally makes it to the top of the mountain and retrieves the Really Good Smelling Lotion just to get knocked out by Skull and get trapped in the Mind Scape with everyone else. Card puts the final shard in the rebuilt body, thus reviving Cobalt Blue.
Now with his new body and even stronger than before, Cobalt Blue starts using his powers to take control of everyone at the mountain. Meanwhile inside the Mind Scape, the characters find that they can't attack Cobalt Blue's spirit. Having given up, Computer decides to smell the Really Good Smelling Lotion. Smelling so good, everyone in the Mind Scape starts requesting him to give it to them, and eventually, Cobalt Blue smells it and briefly returns to the Mind Scape to try and get it. This gives everyone time to gain control of their bodies again, allowing them to finally fight Cobalt Blue. While Cobalt Blue is distracted while fighting Water, Computer gets an idea and wipes some of the lotion on Cobalt Blue's upper lip. After smelling too much of the lotion, Cobalt Blue starts screaming as the lotion smells too magnificent. After stating that whoever made this lotion is the smartest person to ever live, Cobalt Blue screams as his body is destroyed, destroying all his minions and freeing everyone from his possession.
In a post credit scene, Cobalt Blue's soul is seen before getting pulled up into Astral Plane
Daily Object Show Mini[]
Cobalt Blue briefly appears as a ghost in The Daily Object Show Mini. He uses his powers to give Cobalt Mini powers, only for Cobalt Mini to immediately get defeated.

Beach Battle[]
After Evil Computer told everyone the plot to get revenge on computer, Cobalt blue told everyone how he become a super object, after Cobalt blue said that, he was sent by Evil Computer to find the really good smelling lotion (one of the ingredients to become a god) all the way on the sun. After getting the Lotion he was turned back to normal before being Killed by Evil Computer and turned into one of his army members.
Appearance[]
In the flashback he appears as a block of cobalt with arms, legs, and a face. After getting shattered and trapped in the Mind Scape, his appearance is of a ghost version of himself without legs. After returning to his body, he has 2 red tentacles protruding from his body.
Trivia[]
- He bears a resemblance to the villain of the same name, Cobalt Blue o from DC Comics, part of the Flash's rogues' gallery, both of them possessing the power to control minds, although he uses a gas while Cobalt Blue wields a magical talisman for this purpose.
