Commissar Diego

Commissar Diego is a supporting antagonist of the Garry's Mod series, Rabbids on the Wild Side.

He is a Rabbid who serves as the commander of the Rabbids that are stationed outside their base of operations in service to Barranco and SHODAN. Once Heavy and his Rabbids arrive, Diego was summoned to combat him to prevent him from gaining entry to the base.

He shares Soldier's voice actor, the late Rick May, edited for his voice lines to be high pitched for him to speak.

Biography[]

Diego was part of Barranco and SHODAN's army consisting of Rabbids and machines-alike who intends on helping him conquer the world and rose up in the ranks to be granted as their commissar. As commissar, Diego would become the master of the Subzero Zones to keep the base protected from any invaders coming to stop SHODAN. After Heavy and his Rabbids survived getting stranded to the snowy area by the Devastinator and arrived to the base, Diego was summoned by SHODAN to stop them and to subjugate them. While Heavy and his Rabbids observe Diego's manage, he manages to steal his machine gun, leaving him unarmed.

As Diego watches, Heavy intends to find and craft another weapon, but comesmout as a stick and throws it at one of his members before surrendering to them. This would-be victory would not be persuaded as Steve arrives to aid Heavy and crafted him a man-made gun to keep him armed. Following orders from Barranco to stop Heavy, Diego orders his squad to protect the base from them. Once his squad is taken out by Heavy's group one by one, Diego moves Heavy's machine gun away and gets his turret to fight Heavy's who would later lose his man-made turret when it breaks apart. As Diego shoots at Heavy, Steve retrieves the machine gun and passes it to him to keep him armed, now in a fight to shoot at each other and keeping him distracted. Steve implants a TNT which denotates and explodes, blasting Diego to the grown and losing his own machine gun. As Heavy asked him who sent him, he hesitates at first before preparing to finish his sentence only to be killed by a robot probe manned by Barranco before it got destroyed by Naluri following her arrival.

Trivia[]

While some of the Rabbids in his squad share other TF2 characters' voices in high pitch such as Demoman and Scout's, Diego is the only who shares Soldier's voice in high pitch.
