Connor Theed is the secondary antagonist of the 2023 action fanfilm The Godfather 6: Cruelest Revenge, and a major antagonist in The Godfather 7: A Last Call.

He is a senior agent and later the leader of the CIA, and he seems to be a tough, yet helpful ally for William Savage. However, in secret he also works as a member of The Barzini Crime Family and he forms a close partnership with the new leader Draco Barzini, aiding his plans of taking over the world and having his personal revenge on William, Michael Corleone and others.

He is portrayed by Tom Welling.

History[]

The Godfather 6: Cruelest Revenge[]

Connor Theed started off as a hitman working for The Barzini Crime Family, having a long history and serving under Emilio, later working also for Nicholas. One day came, and the two CIA agents Tommy Stark and William Savage have killed Nicholas and robbed all of the crime family money and weapons, leaving them with no munitions. On that day, Draco swore revenge, and together with Connor, he sought revenge on the CIA and on whoever has anything to do with taking Nicholas away, planning every little detail step by step. As part of their plan, Connor applied to a job at the CIA, slowly climbing up the ranks and eventually becoming a senior agent and leading it after his boss Chief Midnight went missing.

He had command over the CIA agents, and one of his top enforcers were Miranda Midnight, who was the chief's beloved daughter. As part of his plans with Draco, he used that position to get William into trouble, firstly not accepting the fact he wasn't a threat anymore since the time he was a criminal in the past. He also planned to manipulate William and Miranda.

Connor Theed then calls Miranda for a meeting, revealing her that he suspects William and thinks he is a threat. She insists that he's a good man, but Theed doesn't seem to believe her and remarks that if he does one mistake, the whole CIA shall hunt him down.

Senior Agent Theed later sends Agent Tommy Stark to the battlefield against Draco, pretending to try and save lives. After Draco's bomb is stopped, Theed comes to see for himself what has happened, realizing that William has been the hero, but still looking for where to blame him as part of his plan. He pretends to ask William for information about Draco, calling him for a meeting on the following morning.

William comes to the meeting, but before hand, Draco bombed up a school, and the blame was shifted onto William. Theed arrives at the school, seemingly saving Ava from death. Theed had then asked William if he was the bomber, to which he replies that he had no interest at all of bombing up the school where his beloved daughter learns. Theed asks for proof from him that he is not involved, as he was a former criminal. Miranda however protects William, indicating that there is no proof at all pointing that he is the bomber either. Connor seemingly gets confused and asks who bombed up the school if not William. Out of the shadows, Draco makes his appearance at the station, killing two cops and seemingly overpowering the resisting Agent Theed, before kidnapping Ava Savage and taking her to a canyon. William and Miranda arrive at the canyon underneath the cliff edge on which Draco stands with Ava as his captive. Theed offers a rope, telling William and Miranda that there's only one rope, as part of his plans with Draco. As he expected, William let Miranda climb the rope and join the others, asking her to promise him that she will be like a mother to Ava and bond with her much more, and look after her if he doesn't come back. She promises and climbs up the rope, as Theed watches her, just before the double agent personally betrays William and then reveals his true colors and his involvement in Draco's plans for revenge. Draco then reveals William that Connor Theed was his ally and enforcer all the time, working for The Barzini Crime Family throughout history, and planning to use the CIA as his tool to corrupt and control the world with Draco as his superior. Theed is seen watching the final battle, before he goes on with Draco to find Michael Corleone and kill him, knowing that the legendary mob boss is still alive and well.

The Godfather 7: A Last Call[]

Connor Theed continues his support for Draco, helping him search for the new version of "The Godfather" nuclear weapon. As Amy Savage finds Draco and fights him, thus downing one of his own drones, Theed comes from behind her and shoots her, thus killing her. However, when it seemed that Draco and Theed had the upper hand, a plane came, with Porsche and Michael Corleone inside it. The plane shoots Theed, allowing Ava and Agent Miranda Midnight to escape.

Obsessed with finding them, Theed asks Draco how to get rid of them now. Draco tells him to leave them alone, taking this opportunity to find and use The Godfather weapon. Draco also out of sadism sends more drones as he manages to use them and get rid of Miranda, thus preventing her from keeping her promise to Ava and her now deceased father William (despite the fact William is not really dead).

Theed manages to gain upper ranks as Draco succeeds in sabotaging a ship which contained The Godfather, intending to use the bomb if the world doesn't accept his global leadership. Theed however in secret allied himself with Agent Carface Cruel, who is secretly Porsche in the shadows, with a different look.

Theed is bribed by Carface to give him the location of Draco's grandfather and the overarching enemy of the franchise, Emilio Barzini. This caused Porsche to being able to sabotage Emilio, bring him to Corleone's base in the desert of the Middle East, and finally, Porsche ruthlessly feeds Emilio with a bomb, causing the man to explode from the inside.

Later, during Ava's battle against Draco, Theed shifts his goals and makes a massive surprise; he hands Ava a small fiery bomb to help her get rid of Draco for eternity. Seeming to redeem himself once again, Theed and therefore his men all join forces with Porsche and his faction, with intent of annihilating the entire world and killing all people who shall oppose Porsche or be an obstacle to his plans. Theed aids Porsche in his plans and keeps Ava as his hostage. At one point, Porsche orders Theed to oversee the launch of The Godfather. Porsche also declares his first target to be Washington DC. However, Dean Shepherd enters the room and reveals that by this time, The Supreme Cipher has hacked into another nuclear weapon as he launched it within no time onto Washington, destroying the US's capital city along with the president's office, before the president and his first commander could even prepare their own weapons to retaliate.

However, before anymore damage could be done by the villains, Oswald Carpenter enters the scene and kills all bad guys with the exception of Porsche and Theed. Theed tries to stab Oswald with a knife before he could finish Porsche off, but Oswald manages to turn around and shoot Theed.

Personality[]

Senior Agent Theed is at first seemingly a no-nonsense, rough and harsh leader of the CIA, taking his job seriously and not allowing criminals to blend in society. He seems to hate William for being a former criminal, but this wasn't the true reason of hatred; Theed was a dominant member of The Barzini Crime Family, which ended up thanks to William and Tommy with no munitions and therefore less power than it had before.

Seeming to be a redeemed, misled and obsessed ally and lawman, who took time to realize that William was his friend and a honorable member of the CIA underneath his command, he is soon enough revealed to be a sadistic, merciless and murderous man who aids Draco no matter the cost, and makes things personal against the crime family's enemies, mostly William and Michael. He is a manipulative and deceiving individual, wanting to control the world for his family. Near the end, he betrays Draco and seems to do the right thing again by helping Ava against his former superior, only to side with Porsche for a worse plan.

Trivia[]

  • Theed is directly inspired by the previous traitor and villain Jonathan Malone. They both work for their leaders on world dominance plans, and they are both treacherous CIA agents who have a high rank and turn out to be treacherous villains who care about nothing but themselves and their bosses to an extent. However, while Theed seemingly cares for Draco, Jonathan only does his job because he wants things for himself, needing to eliminate the ones who blamed him for being corrupt and gave him bad reputation.
  • In a deleted storyline, Connor would be Jonathan Malone's son and therefore Emma's secret brother, teaming up with Draco to finish his father's legacy and due to pragmatic reasons.
