Copper is a hound dog and a supporting antagonist in The Enchanted Forest series. He serves as Amos Slade's pet dog and Chief's adopted son. He is also Bambi and Tod's former rival.
History[]
In the short film series - Copper first appeared as a young hound pup who is adopted by Amos Slade and Chief. One day - Copper befriended Tod the Fox who lives in The Meadow Land. Although Copper lives on a farm near The Meadow Land - he occasionally finds adventure with the fox. After Scar is defeated - Copper became a sheriff. At first - Copper tried to hunt down Tod. But then after Chief is killed - Copper saves Tod from being hunted down. After Slade died - Copper lives alone on the farm.
As the seasons passed - Copper encounters Bambi's Mother who rescued her son from the hound dog. Furious that he failed to hunt down the young deer - Copper chased Bambi's Mother to The Meadow Land. But he accidentally crashed into a river and survived. Copper gave up deer hunting and he argues with Tod. One day at an abandoned old castle - Copper is almost killed by an enraged Tod in a brief battle. Tod calms down and tries to apologize. But the hound dog is angry with the fox for betraying him in the first place. Soon - Copper sadly walked away. The next day - Copper plans on moving to the south. When Tod appears - he kindly tells him that friends stick together. Copper tearfully hugged Tod and bids him farewell.
In the film The Enchanted Forest: Three Wishes - Copper is last seen bidding Bambi the Deer farewell and the reformed hound dog moved away to the south with a tank engine. Copper is never seen again for the rest of the series.
