Indigo Steve, later known as Corruption Steve, is a major character in the 2020-21 web series Rainbow Quest, and a cameo protagonist in it's sequel 2021-22 web series Twisted Rainbow, both intallments of the Steve Cinematic Universe.
In the RQ, he serves as a major protagonist in Seasons 1, 2 and 5, a major antagonist in Season 3, one of the two tritagonists (alongside Blue Steve) of Season 4, a minor protagonist in Season 6 and a supporting protagonist in Season 7.
Formerly a close ally of Sabre and Rainbow Steve and the protector of the Middle World, Indigo Steve would fall victim to the Darkness' control and become infected. He would later be abducted by Void Steve and brought to his lair where he would fully complete his transformation into Corruption Steve and become one of the Darkness' second-in-commands.
After the death of Void Steve, Corruption Steve was defeated and eventually cured of his infection by Sabre.
Personality
Upon first being infected by the Darkness, Indigo Steve seems mindless, feral and completely insane. He takes his time with hunting down Sabre and appears to have some sort of authority over the Darkness.
After becoming Corruption Steve, he became a silent stalker who oversaw most operations involving the Darkness' spread, such as his first attack on the Yellow Kingdom where he watched the chaos erupt from afar. Not only is he completely under the Darkness' control, Corruption Steve is fiercely loyal to Void Steve and blindly follows his every command. Although he's mostly silent, Corruption Steve still retains his intelligence from when he was a regular Indigo Steve, and is fully capable of using his powers to mentally torment both Steves and Sabre, the latter being the victim of Corruption and Soul Steve's creation, Shadow Sabre.
Ruthless and intelligent, Corruption Steve possesses the same ideology as his master, hoping to cleanse the world and establish a new era of peace where the Darkness can prosper without conflict, believing his methods to be the only way peace can be established.
Biography
Falling to the Darkness
Prior to his corruption, Indigo Steve was able to hold off the Darkness invading the Middle World with the help of Light Steve and FavreMySabre. However, he wasn't prepared for a second wave, which occurred shortly before the final battle against Nightmare Steve. As the second, stronger wave of Darkness invaded the Middle World, Indigo Steve sent Sabre and Rainbow Steve (who had joined him to ask about Indigo Steve's friend, Galaxy Steve) away before the Darkness could reach them. However, Indigo Steve was too late and became infected.
Sabre and Rainbow Steve became aware of Indigo Steve's corruption after travelling to the Middle World to find it overrun with Darkness before eventually encountering Indigo Steve, who claimed that they couldn't escape the Darkness. Rainbow Steve, realizing that he was part Indigo Steve due to the crystals he absorbed, used his connection powers to teleport himself and Sabre to the World Beyond before Indigo Steve and the Darkness could infect them.
Indigo Steve is later captured by Void Steve and held in his lair, presumably for experiments that'll fully corrupt him. The results produced Corruption Steve.
Under Void Steve's rule
Under the orders of Void Steve, Corruption Steve was sent to the Rainbow Hub alongside his partner Soul Steve to assist Rainbow Steve (who had now been corrupted by the Darkness and manipulated by Void Steve) in corrupting Sabre. Before Rainbow Steve could allow Soul and Corruption to do their work, Time Steve froze all of time (except for himself and Sabre) and teleported Soul Corruption, Rainbow and Elemental Steve far away from the area.
Although he was stopped, Time Steve was trapped in the Time Dimension, preventing him from further interrupting Corruption Steve's future work. Corruption Steve arrived at the Yellow Kingdom and infected the Yellow King, who, in tern, released the Darkness into the kingdom and infected several civilians. As Corruption and Soul Steve watched from a mountain nearby, Sabre defeated the Darkness and was forced to kill a Yellow Steve. He turned to face Corruption and Soul Steve, who teleported away in an act of cowardice. After that, Corruption Steve arrived at the Orange Village after the Darkness invaded it. Sabre and Elemental Steve fended off the Darkness, however, and spotted Corruption Steve atop a building. Sabre furiously demanded Corruption Steve to come down and fight him and Elemental Steve. Elemental shot a fireball at him, but Corruption Steve teleported away before him and the fireball could collide.
Corruption Steve reappeared alongside Soul Steve at the temple where Void Steve had created the prophecy, and now where he had kidnapped and imprisoned Rainbow Steve so he could extract the crystals from him. When Sabre and Elemental Steve arrived, Corruption and Soul were ordered by Void Steve to block the exit, which they did. After Void Steve successfully extracted the crystals he stood atop the machine he build and asked Corruption Steve to activate it. Once Corruption Steve activated the machine, the crystals were infused with Void Steve, creating Rainbow Void.
Corruption was later found at the decoy Rainbow Hub alongside his boss and Soul Steve, inspecting the hub in search for any remaining Steves, unaware that the real Rainbow Hub was underneath the decoy. Sabre and Time Steve began watching them from outside the walls until they made some noise that alerted Rainbow Void, who set both Corruption and Soul Steve off to inspect the area. Upon turning up empty handed, the three decided to leave, only to reappear behind Sabre and Time Steve with Funny Orange Steve, whom they found wandering around. Corruption watched as Rainbow Void murdered Funny Orange Steve, prompting Sabre to fly into a fit of rage as the signs of his corruption became apparent, eventually leading to the full creation of Shadow Sabre, turning Sabre's body into a husk that the Darkness used as a pawn.
Eventually, Sabre snapped out of the corruption and infiltrated Rainbow Void's lair to gain information so he could help the Steves. There he met Soul and Corruption, whom were both tasked with watching Sabre's progress. Sabre was ordered to destroy a nearby Yellow Steve outpost and its inhabitants, but scared them away instead and destroyed the outpost. Soul and Corruption arrived, with the latter relishing in the outpost's destruction before returning to Rainbow Void where they shared their new plan of destroying the newly formed Rainbow Kingdom. After coming to the decision to speed up the attack, Sabre leaves and eventually finds Corruption and Soul Steve near the kingdom preparing to lay siege, and Corruption gives the signal to attack the Rainbow Kingdom. Sabre snaps and uses the Shadow Sword he has on him to destroy the entire fleet of Darkness, causing Soul and Corruption Steve to retreat.
Final Battle and Redemption
Corruption Steve is later found at Void Steve's lair as he watches Sabre, Light Steve and some colorless guards destroy a pact of Darkness, eventually coming out of hiding and swarming Sabre's group with another fleet of Darkness that is once again easily defeated. Corruption Steve expresses his disappointment in Sabre not following what he claims to be the "true way to peace". Light Steve shuts him up and challenges him to a duel, which Corruption Steve accepts as Sabre chases Soul Steve into the lair.
Sabre was able to kill both Soul Steve and Rainbow Void as Corruption Steve fought Light Steve, even killing one of the guards. However, Corruption Steve wasn't seen outside after the battle, which was later revealed that it was due to him being imprisoned underground by Light Steve, who had defeated him in battle. After the death of Void Steve and retrieving the Rainbow Crystal, Sabre was lead to Corruption Steve where he was able to free him of the Darkness, ending Corruption Steve and restoring Indigo Steve, who appears dazed and confused and not remembering much.

- It's unknown how Indigo Steve was able to hold off the Darkness the first time they attacked the Middle World but then became corrupted during the second attack, although it likely has to do with the portal connecting the Void to the overworld being built, possibly allowing a stronger connection between the Darkness to be made and amplifying their infectious abilities.
- Corruption Steve is mistakingly called "Corrupt Steve" on numerous occasions.
