Well.. You wanna be artists? That is why I need that nuclear weapon. We need to paint the world like a picture. Once we do that.. we are not only rich. We are the richest.. and we have an ideology.
~ Crouker speaking about his plans to his goons

Crouker is the secondary antagonist of the 2023 fanfilm Madagascar 4: Skipper's Story.

He is a jester of chaos who was secretly hired by Sky to cause mischief, going on his mission to launch a nuclear attack on the US with his thugs Sheriff Barbory, Jack Hydrogen and the redeemed Shirley Kentell, before finding himself in a struggle against Skipper and his allies.

History[]

The Crouker was a very chaotic and ruthless criminal mastermind who was secretly hired by Sky from the Nightwing organization to launch a massive nuclear attack on the US from the animal city of Featheros or force them to surrender, so that he and Sky could achieve world dominance. The Crouker was at first seen with his three henchmen and bribed cops, including the lead mercenary and lieutenant Sheriff Barbory, the vicious and sadistic metahuman Jack Hydrogen, and the unwilling pawn Shirley Kentell, as they were all seen robbing a museum's manager for both lots of money and a file which contains the exact location of the nuclear weapon.

The Crouker spoke about ideology in a chaotic manner, revealing that he wants the world to pledge fully into chaos and himself to be the ruler inside the chaotic planet. He tortures the manager of the museum along with his goons. However, Skipper saves the day and points a gun at the mad croc, making him call his henchmen for help. His henchmen fight Skipper and Charlotte Dove. However, the henchmen fail to kill Skipper, and Crouker scolds at their failure, but particularly in Shirley, because she's unwilling. Shirley is betrayed and almost killed when Crouker throws at her a hand grenade, but Skipper saves her life by snatching the bomb in the air, causing it to explode higher than the surface on which she stood.

Charlotte then joined into the fight and snatched onto Jack Hydrogen, pulling him up to the sky and presumably dropping him onto the ground offscreen. Out of fear to lose the battle, Crouker orders Sheriff Barbory to hypnotize her. However, Skipper jumps towards him and knocks him on the ground, leaving the crocodile prince of crime by himself. The Crouker runs off, and later rejoins his two remaining henchmen, as Shirley stays with Skipper and redeems herself.

Crouker then tried to run away and escape justice with the map revealed to be in his hands. Joshua and Jasmine tried to foil his plans, but he and his goons overcame them. The other Penguins of Madagascar arrive in the same location of the Featheros nuclear facility. Things go wrong for them as while they were trying to find Skipper there, Sheriff Barbory and Jack Hydrogen put them into a closed sack so they won't foil Crouker's plans.

The Crouker entered the nuclear bomb's hidden room, as he poisoned two bird watch guards from Featheros with gas, presumably killing them. He tries to hack into the bomb with a device, and he calls the US president Vidon with a hologram, demanding him to surrender to his leadership and give him the world dominance. Things went well for Crouker, but eventually Skipper's allies have overpowered his two henchmen and released the other penguins of Madagascar. Skipper then went to fight against Crouker inside the nuclear room. Crouker said it's too late, but Skipper electrocuted him with a taser, knocking the crocodile out. After Crouker recovers, he finds himself in jail along with his henchmen and Sky.

Personality[]

The Crouker is a deadly assassin, secretly serving Sky's interests and spreading chaos and disorder around the globe. He is also treacherous, willing to abandon his alliance with Shirley just for his own sake, calling her unwilling and threatening her life furthermore. After his defeat, it was revealed he was actually merely Sky's pawn. However, he is much more ambitious and destructive than his boss, and he does act quite independently.

Trivia[]

  • He is based on The Joker from Batman, having a similar name and personality as Gotham's prince of crime.
  • Out of all Madagascar villains, he (under Sky's influence), has the highest body count, able to almost kill whereabout millions of people and animals.
  • In the original script, he and Sky were the same character, before that version was cut off the fanfilm.
