Daniel, referred throughout development as Normal Daniel, is a pink Yoshi animatronic and one of the antagonists in Five Nights at Yoshi's.

Appearance[]

Daniel is depicted as a pink Yoshi with a black tophat with white stripe, and a red necktie. He has orange spines on the back of his head, and brown shoes.

Personality[]

Daniel is usually timid and nervous, as he's seen frowning and using a scared expression in almost every room he appears in. He is also easily scared, as seen in the Backstage looking at the suit heads, and gets angry easily, as seen with him getting frustrated with the light in the Janitor's Closet and Left Corner one you shine the light in his face.

If he leaves, most likely Daniel will be frustrated for the rest of the night, replacing his scared expressions.

Behavior[]

Daniel will start on the Yoshi Stage, remaining inactive until around 1AM on Night 1. Once he activates, he randomly moves towards your office. His path is: Yoshi Stage -> Party Room -> Backstage -> Left Hall (1st phase) -> Window (Center Hall) -> Left Hall (2nd Phase) -> Janitor's Closet -> Left Corner.

Daniel may either move forward one room (which is most common), move forward two rooms, or go back one room.

Once at the Left Corner, he is one move away from entering the Office. Once you turn on the left light, scary piano music plays as Daniel jumps away from the blindspot, due to his fear of bright light. The player may think he left the corner, but in actuality, Daniel is hiding behind the left door, making him not visible in the blindspot. You can check if Daniel is still there by viewing the Left Corner camera, or by listening for a very faint walking sound.

No matter if he's standing at your door, or hiding, you must close the left door until he leaves the camera entirely, as indicated by his walking sound.

If he leaves, he returns to a random room in the building, except the Janitor's Closet. He repeats his movement cycle until 6AM.

If you fail to close the door, he will jam both the left and right control panels, and will sneak into the office. If you pull the camera up, you will hear a ominous laugh, meaning Daniel is in. One you flip down the camera after that, Daniel kills you. Alternatively, if you wait too long without flipping up the camera, he will kill you.
