Darius Dax Daggers is a major antagonist in the animated prequel web-series Toon Turf, serving as a major character in the pilot episode, "The First One".
He is a mentally unstable candy (Toonville's version of drugs) addict and dealer who primarily likes "cane" and Cotton Candy/"the cloud". His introduction has him warning protagonist Riggy Runkey about the Cotton Candy Operation in Lucky's Plushie Factory, which results in Riggy and his friend Billy Beaver breaking in and attempting to stop it, only for him to accidentally burn the factory down and kill both Billy, and two dolphin guards. It's also implied he might be an associate of Lucky, as he is seen spying on Riggy alongside some person in a yellow suit wearing a mask.
He is voiced by YouTuber Bundun, who also portrayed Dunbun in Shorts Wars.
Appearance[]
Darius is a fox with fuzzy purple fur, he's also got a short tail. He has green, bloodshot eyes, likely because of his addiction.
In terms of clothing, he wears a black sweater with a dark blue sleeveless hoodie, a necklace with some kind of symbol and long black pants. He also has an earring on his right ear.
Personality[]
Fitting with his stereotypical crackhead personality, Darius is shown to be an insane and psychotic addict who rambles on and on about his conspiracies. He repeatedly switches moods, going from semi-normal and approchable to randomly yelling and denying his own insanity.
Despite this though, Darius is shown to be intelligent, being able to manipulate Riggy into breaking into Lucky's Plushie Factory by revealing the puffy cloud operation happening inside and exploiting his hatred of Dolph.

Backstory[]
Not much is known about Darius' past. However, there are some details: He is an unstable candy [the show's equivalent to drugs] addict, primarily being into Candy Canes, describing it as his crutch. At some point Darius, thanks to his candy, slowly becomes aware of the many strange happening in Toonville, including:
- Shadows hitting people in ways that don't line up.
- The road "getting all cubey and wack when you look at it from a certain angle", actually just the image pixels revealing themselfs.
- People and buildings disappearing for weeks and randomly returning like nothing happened.
At some point, Darius also found out about the Puffy Cloud [another, more addictive type of candy] Operation happening inside of Lucky's Plushie Factory. It's unknown what happened after he found out, but given the pilot's ending, it's possible he became an associate of Lucky Luckington to keep the operation secret, while also spying on Riggy Runkey if he were to show up, giving how it's implied that Lucky already knew about Riggy's existence before he showed up.
Season 1[]
Darius makes his debut in the pilot episode "The First One". He is the first seen in the crowd when Lucky is at Crank's Construction, and is later seen on the bridge near Riggy's house, talking to Ferrick when Riggy goes to Billy's house. Riggy gets frustrated after a bunch of penguins steal and destroy his belongings, and suddenly, Darius, spying on him behind a tree, offers a frustrated Riggy some "cane" to "relax him". This scares Riggy, who points it out as illegal. Darius argues that the illegality is what makes cane "so good", and proceeds to smoke it, which makes him so excited that he bumps his head on the tree. Riggy declines the cane, stating that it made his Uncle Bonzi Finch "go all weird" and then leaves, Darius is confused by the mention of Bonzi (likely confusing him with BonziBuddy or having known him somehow), before smoking a little puff.
Darius walks up to Riggy, who is trying to get his stuff back into the box, and tells him that cane isn't that bad, and says the "puffy cloud" is way worse, saying it's everywhere, and has ruin a lot of lives thanks to how addicting it is. Riggy asks why no one has done anything about it, and Darius response with all the "strange happenings" mentioned above. Riggy tries backing away, but Darius tries proving he isn't crazy by asking Riggy if his hoodie always had a zipper on it (which it didn't until he met Billy), Riggy is shocked by this, but brushes it off. Darius continues rambling on happenings in Toonville, including "the citizens vs. the puffy cloud". Riggy gets mad and tells Darius he isn't interested in his conspiracy theories, but Darius tells him that the cloud is poisoning the people of Toonville, and finally reveals to him that it's being made and sold inside Lucky's Plushie Factory, since various people had enter the factory and left with "mountains" of the cloud. Riggy, now interested, asks him if Lucky is involved, but Darius declines, saying that he is the best, but accuses "them shifty little dolphins". This is what makes Riggy want to stop the operation, given how he was insulted and humiliated earlier by Dolph Dolphin.
Later, near the end of the episode, after Riggy burned down the Plushie Factory and killed Dolph, Bolph and accidentally Billy, he tries escaping via swimming. While escaping, Riggy is unknowningly stalked by two people, one of which is Darius wearing a Lucky mask and the other being an unknown character in a yellow suit. The two stalkers look at each other, as the yellow suit character leaves and Darius just stares at Riggy as the factory burns down.
It's very likely Darius will return.

- It's currently unknown if he is actually an ally of Lucky, it's currently unclear. Either way, he is still considered a villain due to his candy addiction and dealing.
- One of the apparent mysteries in Toonville he mentions is "the road getting all cubby and whack when you look at it from a certain angle". This is clearly a fourth-wall break since, when he says it, the road itself becomes low-quality and you can see the pixels.
- It's unknown who the yellow suit character he is seen alongside with is. Some fans speculate they might be Absinthe, given her never revealing her face so far and Danno stating she would show up "without us knowing". However, not only does the character has blue and green eyes, while Absinthe has purple eyes, but there is also no real proof of this.
