Dark Tubby is the main antagonist of the Slendytubbies animated trilogy Po's Life.
He was a black Teletubby who was rejected by his love interest, Po, as she was already taken by Tinky Winky. Jealous of this, he decided to murder him, but Po stopped him from doing so, resulting in Tinky Winky and the other Tubbies kicking him out and sending him into a cave. He later decides to capture Po so she stays with him forever, plotting revenge against Tinky Winky for taking his love interest away from her and leaving him inside a cave for a while. After his plan was a success, he stabs Tinky Winky in the chest, mortally wounding him as Po watches her lover slowly dying in front of her, later causing Shadow Tubby's demise and saving Tinky Winky's life.
Appearance[]
Dark Tubby used to be a normal Teletubby with black fur and white skin, keeping his U-shaped antenna. After being left behind inside a cave for some time, his appearance becomes much more monstrous, his body now completely black with no eyes, a glowing mouth and seems to have a white outline around his body.

Background[]
Some time prior to the events of Po's Life, Dark Tubby used to be Tinky Winky's best friend, spending a lot of time together. One day, he notices Po and starts having a crush for her, forgetting about his best friend and watching her instead. Eventually, he decided to give her a flower to finally become her boyfriend, but he realizes that Po was already in love with Tinky Winky, making him heartbroken.
Jealous of being rejected, he decided to murder Tinky Winky for taking his crush away from him, but as he was about to stab him, Po grabbed his arm to stop him from attacking, not wanting to have Tinky Winky killed in front of her. This makes Tinky Winky furious at his murder attempt, as he and the other Tubbies sent him inside a cave where he would remain until the events of the animation.
Po's Life[]
Dark Tubby is first seen inside the cave, asking his New Borns if they got news about Tinky Winky. He is then informed that Tinky Winky had an argument with Po after he discovered that she helped White Tubby replace the cups of Tubby Custard into fake ones, grabbing her by the neck, furious that he was betrayed by his own girlfriend. He then broke up with her and went with the other Teletubbies, leaving Po behind. These events makes Shadow Tubby pleased as it allows him to get an opportunity at getting his love-interest back.
The New Borns then asks him to tell his backstory, which he does, revealing the motives behind his revenge plan. He then sends them to capture Po, who was still heartbroken after Tinky Winky left her, bringing her inside his cave. Finally meeting his love-interest again, he is surprised that Po doesn't recognize him at first, but she eventually remembers when she gets flashbacks of the time when he nearly murdered Tinky Winky. Shadow Tubby tells her that since she betrayed Tinky Winky, she can be with him instead. However, Po still loves him despite the fact he broke up with her. This makes Shadow Tubby lash out towards Po, telling her that Tinky Winky doesn't love her anymore.
At this point, he is interrupted by Tinky Winky, who orders him to let her go, but he refuses to listen to his old friend, as he declares that Po now belongs to him. Tinky Winky then attempts to attack him but misses as Shadow Tubby teleports behind him. He then grabs Tinky Winky by the neck and then stabs him in the chest with a knife, as Po watches him being severely wounded. This makes Shadow Tubby satisfied, as he finally managed to get revenge for having Po taken away from him, but this also resulted in Po becoming enraged for nearly killing her lover. Shadow Tubby is then stabbed to death by one of Po's appendages, putting an end to his obsession to Po for good.
Trivia[]
- Shadow/Dark Tubby's normal form did not appear in person in the original Slendytubbies III, as it only appeared as a drawing on one of the notes found inside the cave.
