The Darkness Given Voice is the main antagonist of the Deltarune the (not) Musical song "GUARDIAN".
It is the living manifestation of darkness, seemingly brought to life by the Sanctuary Titan's presence after it summoned by the Roaring Knight to kill the Delta Warriors.
It was voiced by Darby Cupit.
Personality[]
The Darkness Given Voice is a sadistic entity that takes pleasure in the act of bringing about the Roaring, not caring about how many lives it will take. It has a nihilistic outlook on life, seeing any resistance as futile and pointless. It commonly mocks the heroes for thinking they could defeat it, showing its arrogance. It clearly knows it's causing carnage and chaos and holds no care for it, sometimes taking joy in it through the lines. Overall, it is a sadistic and wrathful entity seeking only to bring destruction while being fully aware of doing so.
Biography[]
The Knight realized she had no possible chance of stopping the heroes from sealing the Third Sanctuary's Dark Fountain, so she used five blades to summon a fountain inside the Dark World, creating the Sanctuary Titan and giving life to the Darkness.
After the Delta Warriors defeated the Titan Spawn and confronted the Titan in battle, the Darkness Given Voice sang over it (possibly through the Titan). During the fight, the Darkness tries its best to make the Delta Warriors lose hope in winning such as telling them their nothing more than "flecks of white in a sea of stars dying". It seems to do anything possible to make sure all light is swallowed by the shadow.
It and Ralsei begin singing against each other with Ralsei trying to motivate hope while the Darkness tries to extinguish hope. Despite, the Darkness's effort, the Delta Warriors do manage to nearly defeat it. However, once the Delta Warriors damage the Titan enough, it begins regenerating. They try their best to keep attacking but the Titan keeps recovering. In the end, they keep fighting and standing against the dark, not minding the Darkness's nihilism. Assuming the story goes according to canon, Gerson Boom then shows up and helps kill the Titan.
