Darla Sherman, also known simply as Darla or the Ginger, is the main antagonist of the "Frying Nemo" YouTube Poop series by EmpLemon, parodies of the 2003 animated Disney•Pixar film Finding Nemo. She is a malevolent cosmic entity that seeks to come to Earth and cause "The Gingering", an apocalyptic event where she will destroy the world and its most powerful being, Nemo.
Her dialogue was made up of reused audio from Finding Nemo, where she was voiced by LuLu Ebeling, as well as audio from the character Squidward from SpongeBob SquarePants, who was voiced by Rodger Bumpass. The character also uses footage/dialogue from the "Gingers Have Souls" YouTube video, of the uploader Michael "CopperCob" Kittrell.
Biography[]
Darla is a destructive cosmic entity, appearing like the Moon from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. She is set to arrive to Earth in three days, where the dentist Dr. Phillip Sherman is prepared to sacrifice the young clownfish Nemo to her. Nemo's father Marlin goes searching for him, and Nemo's new friends induct him into the Illuminati. However, despite their efforts, they fail to get Nemo to safety when Darla arrives.
Darla's mere presence, even in her humanoid form, warps and glitches reality. She bites off Dr. Sherman's finger before being offered up her sacrifice. Darla begins absorbing Nemo, feeding and merging with him, which begins the apocalyptic event known as "The Gingering". Darla, in her moon form, crashes down into the Earth, destroying a large amount of it. As she tries to finally kill off Nemo, he uses his powers gained from the Illuminati to redirect her destructive power back at her. Darla is destroyed and the Gingering stopped, and Nemo escapes back to the sea.
