Darth Vader is a major antagonist in Universal Nintendo: Super Mario Bros.. He also serves as the main antagonist in Season 3.

He is a powerful Sith Lord in the galaxy. He was hired as Bowser's assassin until he betrays him because he wants the Incredible Star to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. Vader failed his plans by Mario until his death in The Star Hero.

History

Darth Vader first appears in The Dark Lord and already kidnaps Yoda so Mario and Luigi can be fallen into a trap. Mario fights Vader while Luigi frees Yoda from the cell. After the battle, Yoda uses the Force to put Vader (sworn revenge) into the warp zone.

In Wario's Club, Vader joins the club with other villains, and they accept Wario's plan.

In Deadly Threat, Vader is the second villain to do one of Wario's plans by slaughtering hostages. Mario and Yoda battle Vader and defeat him by sending a Sith into the warp zone. At the end, Vader teams up with Bowser again.

Darth Vader makes his last appearance in the The Star Hero as the main antagonist. After Mario brand all of the Koopalings with the Incredible Star, he storms Bowser's Castle and fights Bowser in an epic final battle along with the Koopalings. When Bowser finally took the star from Mario, the Koopalings are freed from brainwashing and start turning on Mario, but Darth Vader also betrays Bowser by taking the star and throws him to the warp zone with a Force. During the final confrontation, Mario steal his lightsaber and the star which Mario destroys with Vader's lightsaber. Furious, Vader charges at Mario, but the plumber defeats the Sith Lord and throws him away. Being defeated, he encounter the Koopalings who kills the Sith Lord for his betrayal against them and Bowser. The tyranny of Darth Vader has put to end once and for all.

Trivia

• Unlike in the Star Wars storyline, Vader has no chance of redemption in the series and then lead to his death which is a reference to Scar's in The Lion King.
• It's unknown of how Vader was hired by Bowser as an assassin, but not according to his origin before the events of the third season.
