Bio[]

David is a scientist working of Security. He serves as the foster uncle to Henry and Caleb and is currently engaged in a project aimed at achieving immortality for his own selfish purposes. Along with Henry's foster parents, he has been taking in children, pretending to treat them as family, while, in reality, they are being used as subjects for his experiments related to his immortality project.

Though His relation to the family is unclear; he prefers to be called Uncle David instead of Head Scientist David when he's with them. He collaborates closely with a fellow scientist named Eliza, an ambitious woman who prefers the affectionate title of Aunt Eliza. The nature of their relationship remains an intriguing mystery, adding a layer of depth to their partnership, as they navigate the complexities of their work together.

David first appears when Henry has nightmares in bed; he is known as the Man in White, as Henry sees him. He later appears in person when Susan questions about Caleb's curiosity about the real world and tells Susan and Charles he'll deal with him if really found the truths of his family's secret.

While investigating a crack in the mansion's walls and discovers a bird's nest in the faux grassy backyard. Henry recognizes him from his nightmares. He calls the gardener incompetent and states that he will handle the situation because of his failure with the project. Henry came to the realization that David is orchestrating his confinement within the mansion. David, who is not merely a family member, has been using Henry as a subject for experimentation all along. After the maid Anna's disappearance, David brought in a new maid to replace her. The new maid took Henry to David's laboratory, where Henry mistook David for his father Charles. David explained to Henry the dangers of the outside world and how he was working to protect their family from these threats. He showed Henry his collection of monsters from the outside world, kept inside capsules, and told him that the family believed the monsters had eaten Anna and that she didn't make it. Henry refused to believe David's story and ran away. Later, he snuck into the laboratory and learned more about David's project. When Eliza and David entered the lab, Henry successfully hid without being caught. After Caleb rescued Henry from his evil foster parents, the two boys fled to the labs. There, they discovered skeletal remains in David’s lab and learned about his twisted project of switching consciousness between individuals, using children to achieve immortality. As they sought a way to escape, David aimed his laser gun at them in an attempt to kill them. Henry confronted David with the truth he had uncovered, and in response, David revealed that he had been immortal for over 300 years and that Henry could become his fifth body. Eventually, Anna and the Chef rescue the boys from David to help them escape from the twisted project. As David orders his guards to pursue Henry and Caleb, Anna confronts David, while the Chef protects the boys during their escape.

Anna makes an attempt to shoot David, who warns her that she will eventually deplete her ammunition. At that moment, the butler Finch intervenes and shoots Anna. As the boys make their escape, the Chef is killed while bravely battling the guards. One of the guards warned David that the boys had escaped the walls. While attempting to shoot the boys, Caleb quickly defeated him by throwing a football at his face, knocking him out. The boys finally escaped safely and discovered that the real world was set in a future timeline full of greenery and population of people.

Personality[]

David is a fiercely ambitious scientist, his mind consumed by an unquenchable obsession: the quest for immortality through body transfer. With an intense gleam in his eye, he meticulously experiments on his subjects, treating them as mere vessels in his pursuit of eternal life. His familial ties remain shrouded in mystery, yet he insists on being called Uncle David, a title that softens his otherwise imposing presence, distancing him from the more clinical moniker of Head Scientist David.

Driven by an unrelenting desire for success, David is determined to keep the truth hidden from Henry, fearing that knowledge of his experiments might unravel his carefully constructed world. In moments of frustration, when incompetence rears its head among his team, his demeanor shifts dramatically; he becomes a stern and unyielding figure, ready to impose strict consequences on those who fail to meet his high expectations. David’s world is one of fervent ambition interlaced with an underlying threat, where loyalty is paramount, and the consequences of failure can be dire.
