David Gray is a major character in the Gray Chronicles, he is the younger brother and right-hand man of Jeff the Killer (the Gray Chronicles) in this universe. David is also the arch-enemy of Ghostface, and is determined to destroy him once and for all.
Personality[]
David's most defining trait is loyalty. During his troubled childhood, Jeff was always there for him, especially at school, where David was bullied for having red eyes. David was profoundly grateful to Jeff for protecting him, and he stood up for him and Jane in return. He also trusted Jeff's judgement on almost anything. For example, when Jeff decided to get revenge on Keith Mex, David went along with his plan.
However, David is also short-tempered, impatient, hot-headed, and wrathful. He is a good fighter, but a poor strategist. Still, David is quite intelligent. He is well educated, articulate, and, much like his brother, a very skilled and sophisticated orator. David is also very charismatic, and earns the loyalty of his troops by promising them anything they want as long as they obey him and Jeff.
Despite his manipulative nature, David is always honest and he cares about his fellow soldiers, and treats them well. In turn, David is well liked by the troops due to him generally being very kind to them.
His years of mistreatment has made him somewhat misanthropic. At one point, David even said to Jeff that every human "is a fucking monster just waiting to come out." However, David has expressed love for others aside from his family and friends. He genuinely fell in love with his ex-girlfriend, Abigail, and even got her pregnant. And despite resenting his mother for abusing him, his siblings and his father, David misses her very much.
David is a foul mouthed individual (the most foul mouthed in the series). He has said the word "fuck" at least 49 times thus far in the series. His constant usage of profanity makes him seem psychotic. However, David is perfectly sane, if not pessimistic and cynical.
