Edward W. Columbo, nicknamed "Eddie," or better known as Deceiver, is an antagonist from the Dark Fantasy universe, serving as the main antagonist of the Skullslasher series. He is a ruthless, greedy, egotistical, and vicious criminal mastermind that appears as the archenemy of the violent vigilante Justin Rayne.
Despite how his efforts have been going through to him, his mild insanity is overshadowed by his greed that he was often reconsidered to be relocated to a regular prison instead of an institution due to knowingly and competently committing his crimes.
Biography[]
History[]
Edward Walter Columbo was born in Brooklyn to a family in New York. his father being a Mafia gang member who was part of a gang organization; had a hard life being with his father, including the family who never helped him from his abusive ways. Eddie had hoped that someday his whole family will die soon, and that wish would suddenly come true as other group of other mafia gang members gun downed his entire family. Except for Eddie, since he survived and saw the death of his whole family. However, instead of mourning or feeling heartbroken from their death, he simply had brushed it off easily and was simply overjoyed to their demise. after the loss of his family, Eddie gets transferred in an orphanage. Time passes and he would often become a reckless child with consequential action he caused in his youth. Eddie proved himself to be emotionally unstable, but highly intelligent, showing aptitude in art, science, and mathematics. after some years at the orphanage, a man by the name of Nicky Demani claimed that the child was his uncle. Even if they weren't related, he was a friend of his fathers. This was the day when Edward Columbo started to join in into one of his mob organizations and started on a crime spree at the age of 15. He was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon, but unknowingly authorities never knew that he was responsible for those cause of actions.
The Skullslasher[]
Deceiver is the main antagonist of this story. In the beginning of the story, Edward Columbo gets introduced as he walks into Slaughterface's Butcher shop where he holds a mafia boss, along with the man's wife and daughter, captive. He tells him about disappointed he nevr had a chance of deal to owe him the money of drugs they were about to sell out with so he orders Slaughterface to brutally murder the mafia boss which also included his wife and daughter, and to make it quick since he needed to go to a speech conferance of becoming mayor of the city.
After this, He then gets a meeting from his boss Demani of how much he was a worthless man to his legacy, that if he ever disobeyed or gets fooled by how his mafia deals would go to in a failed situation, he would kill him and made sure he understands the situation of what Edward is doing. However, Edward grew weary of taking orders from Nicky, he eventually decided to plan on eliminating Nicky and, with a number of henchmen, assasins, and right hand-man loyal to him, sought to ascend himself as the newfound mafia crime lord of the city. He then asked an assasin named Lenny if he had chances on taking his boss down by chances, including his competitor Nolan Bateman To which Lenny agreed if he paid him 50 grand in cash to make it happen, Eddie gets upset by it but understands his deal since he is running out of time on becoming the criminal empire of his destiny.
At a club from midnight, Eddie gets to hang out with bunch of girls while waiting for Lenny to appear, his henchmen then tells him he's there and tells the women to leave for them to discuss about the plan, Lenny and Deceiver have a discussion about how things will work according to plan, and he also brought what Lenny said with the 50k in a suitcase, making sire the deal was set and is now getting on the right spot on doing all this. However, things start to get bad around since he noticed screaming around outside the room Eddie was in. Edward tries to flee but Lenny attacks him and they both start an arguement which result Lenny leaving him injured and taking the money with him. Afterwards Edward calls his goons to come pick him up but the line was cut off caught by the Skullslasher who enters the room and the two try to attack each other, but Skullslasher won by hand on hand to him. Eddie is surrounded nowhere to go, he asks Skullslasher if he was gonna kill him to which he denied. Nevertheless, it gave him an oppurtunity on letting him live, but this wasn't the case since he decided to torture him by sending a message to other crime lords. Skullslasher proceeds to mutilate Eddie's face by smashing him against a steam pipe around the walls, causing it to disfigure his face and fainted on how he reacted to his reflection on the mirror. Police discover him quickly while the Skullslasher disappears from the scene, Edward is treated with paramedics and end up in the hospital with a coma for 24 hours.

Deceiver personality is very much a ruthless, greedy, and egotistical vicious criminal mastermind. His goal is making sure that he would take over the criminal empire around him, this includes all the money he has on his businesses. Back then he had a terrible tragic childhood past, but he subverts them easily since those past memories are nothing but worthless. Edward as his mature self is very much a cruel, unkind, and selfish corrupted con man politician who just doesn't really care about people safeness and uses those "nice traits" to fool everyone if he voted for him. This would make him one of the most baddest villains of the Deadskullable's series.
Appearance[]
As Eddie, he wears a long-coated jacket, inside is his blue jumpsuit, with dark black businessman pants, and mostly a handsome physique consisting with a lack of diet and working out. His age would be around 40 with the look of mid 20's.
As his supervillain ego persona Deceiver, he wears a mask that is similar to the Skullslasher, with dark grey leather coat, dark jacket underneath, dark blue leather pants, and boots. Underneath his mask is a face everyone now knows the truth, his disfigurement caused by his enemy.
Powers and Abilities[]
Deceiver may not have superhuman ability powers but he does have good intelligence and strategies to his criminal record including with his men and other assaisins when being with him around.
- Intellect: He is considered the top strategist and organizer of the mafia clan
- Skill in torture: Has been known to torture people into insanity. It is considered his defining skill, as he both physically and mentally tortures them to a degree few could match.
- Skill in hand to hand combat: Highly accomplished athlete in gymnastics, including karate, when being in prison or training to fight Skullslasher so he surprises him on not being a total fool.
- Gunsmanship: His men had taught how to shoot properly with a gun, and when learning this considered him by many to be deadly accurate.
- Mastery of disguise: Has been able to blend in and even fool Skullsasher with his disguises.

- Deceiver was inspired and similar to other characters like Black Mask and Jigsaw (Marvel) Since those two type of characters have him as a corrupted buisnessmen, an accident that involves in their faces, usually works with other villains or assigns them to attack their heroes, and basically their arch-enemies would have to be their anti heroic vigilante superheroes.
- He also somehow does have similar traits with Two-Face, since both of them are politicians that are running themselves for mayor. Both of them were abused by their fathers.
- The difference between them however, Two-Face had a tragic moment to his backstory. While for Deceiver he may had a tragic life, but his choices and actions he committed can make him pure evil as possible, and he doesnt seem to have regretful moments when doing so. Even becoming a con man while running himself from political party.
- His first appearance Isn't the Skullslasher. His debut story appearance was set around a lost forever deleted comic script called "The Man who became a supervillain" Which would focus on him as the minor antagonost and the next main villain of the story that is the Skullslasher.
- It is unlikely if Deceiver would actually die from falling off to death in the Skullslasher story. this mostly would not be the case, since there is a thing where Deceiver has this "Cheat death" powers, and possibly would be alive and will still continue on with the legacy of becoming a Supervillain.
