It is so disappointing.. To see the captain of The Avengers traveling to the Kree Empire only to fail and have her daughter left behind. You are all dead. Inside and outside.
~ The Demon Druid to Captain Marvel

The Demon Druid, also known as The Druid or by his birth name Ar-Kon, is a minor antagonist of the Marvel Fanfilm Universe, appearing only as one of the two main antagonists (alongside Prince Yon-Rogg) of the 2022 fanfilm The Captain Marvel.

He is a warlord and powerful dark sorcerer working for The Kree Empire's forces and The Supreme Intelligence. He developed hatred to humanity since his son was killed by the ruthless William Stryker during a visit to Earth. In order to avenge his power-hungry yet redeemable son, he devised a plan to overthrow Rogg and become the new ruler and king of the empire.

He is portrayed by Cristopher Lee.

History[]

He and his son were both power hungry and deceiving tyrants who shared their hatred towards Yon-Rogg, his daughter Una and the empire's inner circle, and they wanted to brutally wipe out many races in the universe, including the Skrull race, led by the fearsome Talos.

The druid's son eventually traveled to Earth for unknown reasons and unfortunately, he was killed by William Stryker, a ruthless and killjoy US commander who plotted against mutants and other unknown races. Ever since that day, The Demon Druid became even more furious towards the human race, and he plotted to finish what his son has started all by himself. He pretended to remain loyal to Rogg, so he could overthrow him when he has a chance.

The Druid is firstly seen after he is sent by Prince Yon-Rogg to capture and deliver a human girl named Ava Cross, the daughter of Carol Cross who is actually no other person than the superheroine Captain Marvel. The Druid successfully captures Ava, and takes her on a spaceship to The Kree Empire, as on their journey he explains to her about the tragedy and motives of his deceased son.

The Druid then hands Ava over to Rogg, who attempts to convince her to become his queen rather than stick with humanity, and because she refused, Rogg ordered Ava to be arrested.

The Druid later reports to Rogg that his daughter is betraying them and aiding the protagonists with their goal to defeat The Kree, stop the megaweapon which could destroy Earth and return back home to Earth. Rogg goes to prepare his troops for a battle against the human invaders and Una, and in the meanwhile, The Demon Druid orders Mr. Atlass to inform The Supreme Intelligence about Rogg's plans to double cross it with his weapon. He remarks that he doesn't need any help to kill Rogg by himself.

As they attack and fight against the heroes, the druid intervenes during a rough fight between Una and Yon-Rogg, by shooting at Rogg laser, thus killing the prince. After that, Captain Marvel pushes the demon outside of the building, and the two start fighting. The Demon Druid gloats as he thinks that he has the upper hand. However, as much as he tries hard to kill Carol, she cannot be defeated since dark sorcery is vulnerable to love. Captain Marvel ultimately kills The Druid and reunites with her daughter, as the two travel back to Earth.
