Dennis Raven

Dennis Augustus Raven is the main anti-hero of Scooby-Doo! series, who served as the titular main anti-hero in Scooby-Doo! The Grandson of Katrina Weatherly, one of the main villains in Scooby-Doo! The Revenge of Dennis Raven, and a supporting anti-hero in Scooby-Doo! Savage Retribution. He will return as a main anti-hero of the upcoming Scooby-Doo! Vengeance of a Serial Killer.

Appearance

Dennis Raven is depicted as a seemingly muscular teenage boy of Swiss American ethnicity. He has a dark brown hair that spikes at the front of his head, similar to that of his infamous father, Augustus Raven. He also sports a fringe like his infamous mother, Miranda Weatherly. Dennis's face also strongly resembles his infamous mother's. One of Dennis's most prominent aspects is the dark purple tattoo-like mark on his left upper arm, a mark that boar demon branded onto him. He wears a mint green tank top with black trousers, cornflower blue leather gloves, and open-toe sandals. Like the rest of the Weatherly family, Dennis has an emerald green eyes and peach-colored skin tone.

Scooby-Doo! The Grandson of Katrina Weatherly

Born under Augustus Raven and Miranda Weatherly, Dennis and his younger brother, Dustin were raised in a secluded area with their widowed paternal grandmother, Emily Raven, thereby he and Dustin developing such a great fondness towards her. He also learned the Raven Style Martial Arts. Dennis has a long-standing rivalry with a rogue Vietnam War veteran named Flippy (voiced by Aubrey Ankrum), who stands for everything that he dislikes.

On his 8th birthday, however, the Evil Entity arrived, and attacked Emily Raven. Dennis was swiftly defeated while attempting to protect his paternal grandmother, and when he woke up, Emily was nowhere to be seen along with the Evil Entity. Thinking that his paternal grandmother was killed, Dennis swore revenge. As Emily told him, if anything happened to her, he should seek aid to his maternal grandmother, Katrina Weatherly, so he did. Katrina took him and trained him in the Weatherly Style Karate and had him enrolled in the Weatherly High School where he would be acquainted with the American-born Japanese twins named Kenshiro (Brandon McInnis) and Koshiro Daimon (Bryce Papenbrook). Later on, in order to lure the Evil Entity out, Katrina opened the third tournament, which Dennis participated without his younger brother, Dustin. The one who advanced to the final and defeated the Evil Entity, however, was instead Hiroshi Odokawa (Mike McFarland). When Odokawa left, however, feeling victorious, the Evil Entity revealed its true kraken-like form, in which Dennis stepped in and defeated in, avenging his paternal grandmother's apparent demise. However, in that very moment of victory, he was suddenly shot and betrayed by none other than Katrina Weatherly, who saw him already outliving his usefulness to lure the Evil Entity in. In that moment, however, Dennis's boar demon gene awakened, angered by the betrayal and proceeded to swipe down Katrina and her Italian American mafias before retreating.

Scooby-Doo! The Return of Augustus Raven

After regaining his senses, Dennis started to dislike his Weatherly bloodline. Discarding what he learned from his loathsome maternal grandmother, Katrina Weatherly, he trained in the arts of Traditional Karate, mixing it with the Raven style Martial Arts, while hiding in Southern Sumatra. In the same time, he sent a message to his two closest friends, Kenshiro and Koshiro Daimon to be aware of the Weatherly's true nature.

Three years after the tournament, Dennis learned that his father, Augustus Raven (his maternal uncle's brother-in-law) has returned and the fourth tournament is underway. Sensing a chance to destroy both of his father and maternal grandmother once and for all, Dennis participated. But before he could fight against Augustus in the semi-finals, he was ambushed by the Italian American mafias and captured, locked inside the Linda Vista Community Hospital cremation chamber.

After After awhile fighting the demons inside him along with the urges from his father to give in to his boar demon powers, Dennis woke up, broke from the iron chains tying him up and proceeded to destroy both Augustus Raven and Katrina Weatherly. He was ready to finished them off, but the spirit of his paternal grandmother, Emily Raven appeared before the fatal blow was dealt. In honor of his paternal grandmother, Dennis spared the two villains and flew away.

Scooby-Doo! The Resurrection of Nancy Weatherly

Dennis flew away, but he was unconscious in the same time. When he did awake, he noticed that his surroundings was completely ruined. When he returned home to Honolulu, he was haunted with nightmares about his boar demon gene. Unsure with how long he could hold out, Dennis decided to embark on a journey to vanquish the evil within him.

Later on, the fifth tournament is announced. Dennis participated and eventually found out that it was sponsored by his maternal great-grandmother, Nancy Weatherly (his maternal grandmother's mother-in-law and also his father's grandmother-in-law). Dennis killed her and her boar demon form, and inherited the Weatherly Financial Empire as a reward.

Scooby-Doo! Bloodline Rebellion

Upon taking over the Weatherly Financial Empire, Dennis's personality became cold-hearted and indifferent, much like his maternal uncle, Jonah Weatherly. Like his father and maternal grandmother, he became a ruthless leader and plunged the world into an anti-communist zone, declaring war on all communist nations that opposed him. Despite his well indented claims, Dennis ended up becoming worse than Augustus Raven and Katrina Weatherly ever were. Noticing that everyone now wanted a piece of him for his atrocities, Dennis opened the sixth tournament.

At the end of the Scenario Campaign, Dennis's true nature was revealed. The reason why he plunged the world into utter chaos was to gather enough negative energy to bring forth the creature known as Azrael the one who generated the boar demon gene in the first place. Dennis's theory is that if he killed Azrael, the boar demon gene would be no more, he would free both him and the world from the accursed gene. He ends up pushing both himself and Azrael into oblivion, possibly killing themselves in the process.

However, when Robin (Scott Menville) investigated the place, he found Dennis's body, still with his boar demon's mark on his left arm, indicating that he may have survived the ordeal.

Scooby-Doo! Savage Retribution

While extracted by the Weatherly Financial Empire's helicopter, Dennis's uncontrollable power caused the helicopter to explode and report of him being missing. He survived from the explosion and barely walked when he is weakened until he was ambushed by the Italian American mafias who were ordered by his maternal grandmother, Katrina Weatherly until Katrina's sister-in-law, Dennis's maternal grand-aunt, Samantha Weatherly arrived and rescued him. After the world went to chaos, Dennis fully recovered and prepared to go and kill his father, Augustus to end the Weatherly bloodline once and for all.

Scooby-Doo! Vengeance of a Serial Killer

Dennis will return as the main anti-hero of Scooby-Doo! Vengeance of a Serial Killer. After the death of his maternal grandmother Katrina Weatherly, he will fight his father, Augustus Raven once more.
