Denton is the main antagonist of the YouTube channel DanTDM and Dan and Tray, appearing as the main antagonist of The Mod Adventure series, Trayaurus’s Christmas Countdown and the official graphic novel Trayaurus and the enchanted Crystal.
He is a power-hungry and dangerous mastermind who plans involves trying to steal the Lab and taking over the world by any means necessary, He is the arch-nemesis of DanTDM and Dr. Trayaurus, whom he is also Trayaurus’s evil twin brother.
He was originally voiced by Dan Middleton in MUTANT BUGS who also did Flinn the Elf, currently his sound effects are pitched lower.
Personality[]
Denton is a greedy, power-hungry, intelligent, evil and devious scientist who is always ahead of Dan due to making complicated schemes he was originally a bumbling assistant but in later series, he is a calculating, hegemonic and strategic mastermind as he always returns to fight Dan once again, He also is possibly self-aware when figuring out that Dan had a “Team” who helped him through his games and proved to be honorable as he announces his plans for Dan to challenge him.
Biography[]
Denton makes his first appearance in MUTANT BUGS as the initial-assistant of DanTDM, he wears a white robe and was in charge of operating the containment for the mutant bug mod for Dan to showcase in the fusion machine, where Denton creates an powerful Night-Bug which overwhelmed Dan, being fired as a result despite his pleas, fortunately Dan preserved himself into a storage pod, respawning back and calling Denton an “idiot”, he was replaced by Trayaurus in the next video.
Denton makes his next appearance in SECRET AGENTS where he infiltrated the Lab by digging a hole underneath the place and sending along his minions, Dan manages to save Grim who was imprisoned by Denton, making a big hole to ambush the henchmen and confronting Denton using his agent gadgets and using the last gadget to self-destruct the latter and shortly respawning afterwards, however near the end, Denton turned out to be a clone.
Denton makes an appearance in TRAYAURUS GETS KIDNAPPED where as the video states, He kidnaps Dr. Trayaurus in a flash of light but not before the latter manages to send a journal to Dan through Craig to prepare for his rescue through the control center and track his coordinates. Later Dan teleports to Denton’s dungeon where he has to fight the latter’s monsters who have names, Denton set up traps for Dan to attack him, as confronting him from the distance near the lava moat, Dan quickly fought one of Denton’s two bodyguards and was told by Denton that the kidnapping of Trayaurus was a test to prove if he succeeds in saving him or not and transports Dan into a room where he reads Denton’s “evil note” and demands Dan to follow his rules to answer through three trivial questions, with the help of the audience, Dan succeeds and meets with Denton who reveals that the Trivial game was just a distraction to complete his mutant potion and transforms into “Mega Denton” as Dan faces him in a bunker where Trayaurus is seen above in a cage. After a hard battle, Dan defeats Denton and frees Trayaurus.
Denton presumably (judging by his similar voice) makes an appearance in EGYPTIAN TREASURE PYRAMID!!, where he disguises as one of the villagers in an Egyptian village Dan and Trayaurus go to. He guides Dan to find the treasures around the village, and when Dan alongside Trayaurus finally get inside the pyramid, Denton locks them both in and is not seen for the rest of the video. Even after the two manage to escape and leave the village, Dan is still unable to recognize Denton and only refers to him as the "creepy guy", leaving his statue in the treasure room.
Denton returns in CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN where he sends “Fin The Elf” to act as his spy to steal all the presents from the lab, He steals the files from the lab in day two, next in day two, He orders Finn to steal the reindeer and transforms it into a pale and evil creature. In day four, Denton next orders his elf to use his magic candy cane to sabotage Dr. Trayaurus’s big present into coal. Later Dan attempts to open the purple presents but a surge of lightning attacks Dan and Grim who miraculously survived and realized the presents were sabotaged, one of the next purple presents were a group of evil Gingerbread men who chase after Dan, Grim manages to help fend off the men, much of Dan’s confusion as he begins to finish one of the last gifts. Upon opening the last two presents, Dan is greeted with a gang of snow goblins who throw snowballs at Dan, and again Dan and Grim defeat them along with another group of gingerbread men from the last present, and near the end Denton is looking at his screen laughing, in Day five Denton plans to use the transformed Reindeer in his next effort to complete his big scheme over Christmas. In the sixth day, Denton then sends his Elf henchmen Finn to the north pole in the following night and captures Santa in a cage as he awaits for Dan before Christmas morning, Denton then later sends a transmitting signal to Dan outside the lab, revealing his plan of capturing Santa, corrupting the reindeer and Finn to be actually a robot servant and bargain for Trayaurus’s lab, the latter then comes out and sees Denton from a distance as he sees Denton demanding the Lab as he sends “Frost” an angry Reindeer to attack Dan, Dan retreated back to the lab to equip his shard gear to defeat the reindeer, afterwards Dan then grabs the TNT and surrounds Denton’s podium along with Finn, creating a huge explosion and freeing Santa.
In TRAYAURUS CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN Denton returns near the end of the first day and spies on Dan and Trayaurus and once again plots to take Christmas. In the second Day he creates an “Anti-Festive Command Block” to ruin this year’s holiday, Denton then activates the command block to cover Trayaurus with a huge pile of snow after the latter set up presents for Christmas, the impact awoke Dan who investigates the testing chamber, seeing the whole room covered in chunks of snow and mends a shovel to dig through the mess and retrieves Trayaurus who was in a verge of a deep freeze Dan quickly places Trayaurus beside the fireplace which saved him however he later hears a loud frequencies coming from a secret camera and argues who it is, Denton reveals to Dan he captured the presents and gives him two days before tuning out. In the next day Dan manages to remove the spying device from Denton and gives it to Trayaurus to scan the coordinates on Denton’s location, Dan then follows the coordinates as he orders parts of a hot air balloon from Crain and set off alone, however Dan crashes after a heavy blizzard but luckily found the secret location of Denton evil lair, Dan sees the Command Block and meets Denton from above with all the presents he stole from Trayaurus and activates his device to summon four hostile snowmen to prevent Dan from foiling his plan, Denton activates the device again after Dan defeats the snowmen, this time a stronger and bigger Gingerbread rapidly attempts to attack Dan but the latter swiftly at the last second destroys it, Dan fed up with Denton’s plan then rushes towards the device and sabotages it with a self-destruct command and destroying the base.
Trayaurus and the Enchanted Crystal[]
Denton appears as the main antagonist of the book where after a crystal meteor impacted the Lab which shattered in far corners on earth, Denton seeks to obtain all of the crystals and harness it’s unstoppable power to take over the world, which Dan needs to stop after obtaining one of the many crystals along with Trayaurus who aids him in collecting the crystals before it’s too late.

- Denton is oddly an identical and evil counterpart of Dr. Trayaurus,
- Both were Dan’s Assistants, Denton became Dan’s worst enemy and Dr. Trayaurus became Dan’s best friend and ally.

- Despite being similar to Trayaurus, currently the only distinction is his low pitched voice.
